00:00:06.240 --> 00:00:06.480
Hello.

00:00:06.480 --> 00:00:13.460
I'm Megan Silas, and, I am a student with the spiritual direction certificate program with Divine Mercy University.

00:00:13.600 --> 00:00:19.085
I'm currently, in my last semester of that program, SDC 600.

00:00:19.865 --> 00:00:42.950
I came to this program as a person who had considered getting involved in spiritual direction, over the course of a couple years, having been in it myself and really experienced, great fruit from being involved in it as a directee and just really felt that the Lord was putting on my heart the desire to share that gift with other people as a director.

00:00:43.490 --> 00:00:48.065
I've been so blessed by the faculty that they've brought in.

00:00:48.125 --> 00:01:03.820
They haven't just made it only spiritual directors that are gonna be our teachers, but we have priests that are involved and, clinical psychologists and counselors and spiritual directors, so they really bring a wealth of information and take things from different angles.

00:01:04.360 --> 00:01:12.305
I really was attracted to that beautiful bringing together of spirituality and psychology.

00:01:12.605 --> 00:01:17.825
And I have really felt that that has been lived out in this program in a wonderful way.

00:01:18.285 --> 00:01:24.145
You can really feel their own spiritual depth in their lives coming through in their teaching.

00:01:24.720 --> 00:01:42.815
In particular, I would say two faculty members that really stand out to me are Father Robert Persuti, who's kind of led the way during the time that I've been going through this course, has really, really just made me look at things in new ways and and challenge myself to go deeper.

00:01:42.815 --> 00:01:54.090
And I have really, really appreciated, getting to have contact with him and to hear his teaching and his preaching because that's one of the beautiful blessings of, the residencies.

00:01:54.230 --> 00:02:02.970
We get some time of actual spiritual, prayer and, almost like a retreat, which is has been great.

00:02:03.185 --> 00:02:04.545
And then, Doctor.

00:02:04.545 --> 00:02:13.525
Lisa Kliewicki is is another faculty member who I really was blessed by during the residency for, SDC three hundred.

00:02:14.145 --> 00:02:27.760
Her experience in the clinical setting and how she brings that into spiritual direction, particularly, really a beautiful subtle understanding of how to ask questions and how to help people go deeper.

00:02:28.540 --> 00:02:38.225
I was really impressed, with the way that she conveyed that to us and and helped to guide us, to do that more effectively in our work as spiritual directors.

00:02:38.445 --> 00:02:47.665
In addition, since I've been in this course, I actually started, a podcast with a friend of mine who's also in Regnum Christi.

00:02:48.240 --> 00:02:53.300
And, it's very much ordered towards, how to build healthy, holy relationships.

00:02:53.680 --> 00:03:03.705
And I have found in the course of doing that podcast over the last nine months, so much of what I've learned here at, Divine Mercy through this program has come into play.

00:03:03.705 --> 00:03:20.540
And I've been so happy to have this wealth of information, and resources that I have been given during this program to bring to this podcast and to be able to speak on these things in a way that's much more informed and, can go deeper than would have been possible.

00:03:20.840 --> 00:03:24.760
So if you'd like to give it a listen, I would encourage you to tune in.

00:03:25.000 --> 00:03:35.125
You can find us on the all the various podcast sources, if you search shoulder, the number two, and shoulder, or you can go to redseacatholicradio.org.

00:03:35.125 --> 00:03:38.665
That is the radio station that produces the program for us.

00:03:39.045 --> 00:03:42.330
And we come out with a new, episode about every week.

00:03:42.330 --> 00:03:46.670
So I hope that you'll, give it a listen, and then I hope that it'll bless you.
