I worked in ministry for a number of years, and once leaving ministry, I I knew I wanted to go get a counseling degree, and I really wanted a Catholic education because I'd spent a lot of time studying and then working on secular universities, and Divine Mercy University provides an education that is Catholic in name, in academics, and in spirituality.

I was taking this class on basic counseling theories, talking about the psychological theories that have influenced the counseling world, and alongside that class, I'm taking a philosophy and theology class to better have a Catholic lens for all these secular theories.

It's been a real gift to integrate my faith into my understanding of the human person.

Right now I'm attending residency with my fellow classmates, and it's it's such a gift to be with them.

We all come from different places, different areas of the country, some of us from different parts of the world, and we all come with the same desire, which is to bring the love of Christ into the counseling sessions with us, to to meet our clients in the future, with the love and the joy of Christ in our hearts.
