[00:02:07] We are going to continue the series. I started a few weeks ago entitled demons and deliverance
[00:02:14] This is part three
[00:02:16] This is on doorways
[00:02:20] Open doors how we open doors to the devil of course I've covered the scriptures
[00:02:26] From Ephesians 4 27 it says give no place to the devil. Are we good?

[00:02:49] Ephesians 4 27
[00:02:51] Makes it real clear give no place to the devil and as I've stated over and over again in this series
[00:02:56] That was spoken to Christians by the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul
[00:03:00] So if if he had to tell people that if you had to tell Christians that then it's possible to give place
[00:03:07] To the devil in your life. Well, how do we do that?
[00:03:09] Well, we do it mostly through ignorance
[00:03:12] Now let's look at a couple of verses here. I mean that ignorance is not bliss
[00:03:18] Now in this second Corinthians chapter 2 verse 11 in the context of it
[00:03:24] Paul's talking about forgiveness and we'll get to that because today we're going to talk about really the seven primary
[00:03:30] Doorways that we give place or open doors to demon spirits in our lives for them to afflict us
[00:03:37] One of them will be unforgiveness. We'll get to that toward the end
[00:03:41] But in context Paul said he's talking about forgiveness, but then he says this in 2nd Corinthians 2 11
[00:03:46] He says less Satan should get an advantage of us
[00:03:49] For we are not ignorant to his devices
[00:03:53] So what is this verse implying here?
[00:03:55] It's implying that if you're ignorant to Satan's devices if you're ignorant to how he works to how he tries to
[00:04:03] Attack you and manipulate you and work
[00:04:06] To get in your life if you're ignorant that he will get an advantage of you Paul was saying hey, we're not ignorant
[00:04:13] So ignorance is not bliss
[00:04:15] other passage of Scripture here Hosea 4 6 and 7
[00:04:20] Something God said here. We have both Old and New Testament to witness this God said my people
[00:04:26] Not the lost not the Gentiles not the unsaved not the heathen
[00:04:30] He said my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge my people the people of God
[00:04:37] This should know better
[00:04:38] We shouldn't be destroyed devoured vexed tormented
[00:04:43] afflicted be in bondage
[00:04:46] We shouldn't be controlled by the devil. We shouldn't be destroyed remember Jesus said in John 10 10
[00:04:54] He said the thief cometh not before to kill still and destroy it
[00:04:57] But I am come that you might have life and that you might have it more abundantly
[00:05:02] We like to look over those words, but Jesus said you might have it might maybe hopefully
[00:05:08] But Paul, but through Hosea here the Prophet Hosea God says my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge
[00:05:16] He says because you have rejected knowledge. I will also reject you
[00:05:20] That you shall be no priest to me seeing you have forgotten the law of thy God
[00:05:24] I will also forget thy children and then God says as they were increased or as they were blessed
[00:05:30] He's on by these people so they sinned against me therefore will I change their glory into shame?
[00:05:36] so pretty serious that we are not ignorant to
[00:05:41] Satan's devices now
[00:05:43] Let's go back to a passage that we we mentioned last week in a different context about
[00:05:49] Satan standing in the presence of God at his throne
[00:05:53] He made his statement
[00:05:56] To the Lord about this hedge that God puts around his people the hedge of protection
[00:06:01] God in the book of Zechariah. He says he is a wall of fire around his people
[00:06:07] Bible talks about the name of the Lord is a high tower and the righteous run into it and they are safe
[00:06:14] The Lord does desire to be a hedge a wall a shield
[00:06:21] around his people and
[00:06:23] As we see even in the old covenant
[00:06:26] We see this hedge of protection this wall this barrier and this is job one nine and ten
[00:06:34] And Satan answered the Lord and said does
[00:06:36] Job fear God for not for nothing has thou not made a hedge about him and about his house and about all that
[00:06:43] He hath on every side thou has blessed the work of his hands and his substance is increased in the land
[00:06:50] So God said, you know, the devil even said I can't touch him
[00:06:55] You put a hedge about it
[00:06:57] You've put a wall a fence a shield. I can't do anything to it. Don't you want to be in that place?
[00:07:05] Right, but most of us sadly are not because we're ignorant to the devil's devices
[00:07:11] Because we want to continue playing with sin. We want to play with things that belong to the devil. And so we are constantly
[00:07:18] Breaking the hedge we're constantly
[00:07:21] Opening a door to the devil. Now, what's interesting about this this word in the Hebrew for hedge. I
[00:07:29] Want you to see it's called suk
[00:07:32] The Hebrew word here is suk and it means to fence about or to hedge in
[00:07:39] with thorns
[00:07:41] But I want you to look at the letters of the word. Of course, I've been studying more and more the
[00:07:48] Ancient Hebrew the paleo Hebrew, but look at these letters
[00:07:52] And of course Hebrew goes from right to left
[00:07:57] So
[00:08:00] Move on here
[00:08:03] These are the letters of the word hedge here
[00:08:08] This letter here they go from right to left so you have shin valve and dalette shin valve dalette
[00:08:19] What blew my mind is as you look up these letters and what they mean
[00:08:23] It's mind-blowing. Here's a picture of shin and it's as it's kind of evolved over
[00:08:30] the centuries, but it it has
[00:08:33] Deep meaning each letter this word shin means
[00:08:36] Teeth it also the picture is teeth, but it means to consume. It's also a fire or flames of fire
[00:08:45] Here's another picture of that
[00:08:48] It just gives you an idea of the word shin or sheen as some pronounce it
[00:08:53] When it has a little dot on the other side, it's pronounced sin
[00:08:57] without this
[00:08:59] But it also means flames of fire. So it appears that it's actually like it's
[00:09:03] flames here
[00:09:05] There's something else significant about this letter is that this letter is kind of God's initial
[00:09:12] This is from Wikipedia just to give you it says shin also stands for the word
[00:09:17] Shaddai a name for God El Shaddai
[00:09:21] Because of this a coin of priest forms the letter shin with his hands as he recites the priestly blessing in the mid
[00:09:29] 1960s actor Leonard Nimoy old Spock
[00:09:32] Used a single-handed version of his gesture to create the Vulcan hand salute for his character, mr. Spock
[00:09:38] So when he did this he was making the three the shin letter
[00:09:43] Of
[00:09:45] Course they use it on all kind of different things
[00:09:48] God also said he would put his name in Jerusalem and you see and I've been there
[00:09:54] I've stood on Mount Zion. I've stood on Mount Moriah and I've stood on Mount the Mount of Olives
[00:09:59] I've been all through walked all through here
[00:10:02] But there's three valleys that run through here
[00:10:05] Coming up through this way and it makes the letter shin as God said he would put his name in
[00:10:11] In Jerusalem, so the shin is like another and you know, this is another
[00:10:16] picture of it here the Henan Valley here the
[00:10:20] Tyro poi in there whatever have they say poi on
[00:10:23] Going up through here. There's the Temple Mount in the Kidron Valley that divides the Temple Mount and Mount olives
[00:10:29] So you see the word shin there of the letter shin
[00:10:35] Let me just give you a little interesting tidbit here about this letter. Do you notice in fact, let's back up
[00:10:40] Let's back up one here. If you notice this letter shin, I didn't know this but I
[00:10:46] Watched a video the other day and saw a Jewish rabbi talking about that. This letter is made up of three valves
[00:10:53] The letter valve is the straight, you know, kind of a little
[00:10:58] Almost arm at the top and then a straight letter. Remember the letter valve is a nail. That's the picture
[00:11:04] It's a nail. I find that this being God's signature are part of one of his names in
[00:11:10] This letter that it's made up of three nails
[00:11:13] Well, Jesus had a nail in each hand and a nail one nail through his feet three nails
[00:11:20] Also, it's one letter but it's made of three
[00:11:23] So three father son Holy Spirit one letter
[00:11:27] So you get both the Trinity and that and of course it being representative of a flame of fire
[00:11:33] God said in multiple places in the scripture. I
[00:11:37] am a consuming fire
[00:11:39] That is part of a part of his nature
[00:11:42] So you see that letter so we're going to move on here and here's the other two letters in the word
[00:11:47] valve the nail or the hook the tent peg and
[00:11:52] Dalette which means door doorway entrance
[00:11:58] Its picture is a door. So let's look back at this. So the word hedge is made up of
[00:12:07] God the God of Israel El Shaddai
[00:12:10] The nail or the tent peg which means to secure and Dalette means the door
[00:12:16] So literally the word hedge means the Almighty God of Israel secures the door
[00:12:21] All right
[00:12:23] Pretty good. That's what he wants to do. That's what he was doing with with Job the hedge around Job's life
[00:12:30] God had all the doorways were secure because Job was righteous. Job was living for God
[00:12:37] Job was under the blood covenant. In fact, God said he didn't he doesn't do anything wrong
[00:12:43] pretty amazing, isn't it and
[00:12:46] even when God allowed Satan in a door God backed away and
[00:12:51] Allowed Satan in a door to attack. It says still that Job did not sin with his mouth
[00:12:59] Pretty good here. Now, let's go to Genesis 4 6 and 7
[00:13:05] You'll see this
[00:13:07] This is a story of when Cain was about to
[00:13:11] Kill his brother Abel and I'm not going to read all of it
[00:13:16] But the Lord begins to speak to Cain. Cain is jealous. Cain is angry
[00:13:21] because God accepted
[00:13:24] Abel's sacrifice but didn't accept Cain's fruit of the ground but accepted the blood of one of Abel's sheep
[00:13:30] basically Abel was going to do it God's way and bring the blood of an animal and
[00:13:36] Cain was going to do it his way bring the fruits of the ground that was cursed and Cain obviously knew
[00:13:43] Which way was God's way? He was just gonna do it his way
[00:13:46] I know a lot of people like that and the Lord said unto Cain
[00:13:51] Why are thou Roth or why are you angry and why is thy countenance fallen?
[00:13:56] Why you got your lips stuck out if thou do as well
[00:14:01] Shout thou not be accepted and if thou do us not well, look what he said
[00:14:05] We just run over. He said sin lieth at the door
[00:14:10] sin lieth at the door and
[00:14:13] These shall be his desire and thou shalt rule over him really it says there you should rule over sin
[00:14:19] Now the picture you get from this sin lieth at the door the Hebrew word you get the picture
[00:14:24] It's as if an animal is crouched at the door waiting to attack. You're like a lion or a tiger
[00:14:30] It's crouched and ready to attack and God was warning Cain
[00:14:35] You're about to open the door to Satan because I don't have this verse pulled up
[00:14:39] But in 1st John 3 it talks about Cain was of that wicked one and then murdered his brother
[00:14:45] What happened here when sin was lying at the door when Cain made the decision
[00:14:51] That he was going to go harm his brother and he didn't deal with the sin
[00:14:55] He opened the door not only to sin but to Satan and then murdered his brother
[00:15:01] He became a
[00:15:05] vessel for
[00:15:07] Satan himself
[00:15:10] Now we've already covered these verses, but I'm going to cover them again
[00:15:13] Ephesians 4 27 neither give place to the devil and
[00:15:17] Then the scripture here because a lot of people just think well if I'm a Christian
[00:15:21] I don't have to worry about this if I'm born again. I'm good the devil can't touch me
[00:15:27] But that's not the warning we get from Scripture the warning and the attitude we get from Scripture
[00:15:33] Peter's speaking to Christians
[00:15:34] He says be sober be vigilant because your adversary the devil as a roaring lion walketh about seeking whom he may devour
[00:15:41] That means he's looking for people who will open doors to him
[00:15:45] He's looking for people for Christians who will give him place who will open a door either through ignorance or through willful
[00:15:52] Disobedience sin and if you open a doorway he will come into you
[00:15:57] I don't care if you're a Christian or not if you open the door to a demon spirit
[00:16:02] He will come into you. That's what I've been talking about for these several weeks. They please he asked he's 10 8
[00:16:09] very clear he that they get the pit shall fall into it and
[00:16:13] Whose soul breaketh the hedge a?
[00:16:16] Serpent shall bite him
[00:16:18] So if you're a hedge breaker say well, I'm a Christian. I got a hedge around me really do you
[00:16:24] Or are you a hedge breaker a lot of you don't understand that that even after you got saved
[00:16:33] There were there were holes in the hedge
[00:16:36] We'll get to that in a second, but I wanted you to see this
[00:16:44] Now let's go. I want everybody to get take your Bibles out in turn
[00:16:48] To mark 9 because I could only put a few verses up, but I want to read a good portion of this
[00:16:56] because you know I I have people all the time and
[00:17:01] Contact me about deliverance contact me with questions and comments and all that's fine
[00:17:05] And some I haven't been able to get back to I'm getting I'm getting more and more busy
[00:17:10] But not too long ago. I had somebody contact me, and I really hadn't even answered them yet
[00:17:15] Because I had this guy contact me and obviously his daughter has some obvious clear
[00:17:23] demonic problems demonic manifestation
[00:17:26] But what I love is is that this guy said he tried to cast demons out of his daughter
[00:17:32] He's taking his daughter to these different churches. No one has been successful
[00:17:37] Then he contacts me and tries to tell me how I'm supposed to do it
[00:17:41] I don't know a lot of those people. I'm just like okay if you know how to do it. Why aren't they working?
[00:17:48] Don't contact me for help and then try to tell me how to help you
[00:17:54] That ain't gonna be the way it works all right
[00:17:58] But one of his comments was he said I don't believe we have to go back into the past
[00:18:03] I believe he didn't want to go back in the past because I believe he's the problem
[00:18:08] Parents open doorways to their children if you notice a lot of times it was
[00:18:13] children being brought to Jesus
[00:18:17] Why their children getting demonically attacked because their parents open doors parents
[00:18:22] We are responsible the stuff. We do as you're going to see
[00:18:26] Opens doors for our children to be attacked vex tormented. Yes, and even possessed
[00:18:31] So this stuff is serious because the ramifications are not just
[00:18:37] for you
[00:18:38] Your children your grandchildren your great grandchildren even to the third and fourth generation stuff
[00:18:43] You do can affect your family for centuries
[00:18:47] People say well this guy tried to tell me he said well
[00:18:53] I don't believe we need to go back in the past we don't need to go into all those details
[00:18:56] I said yeah, yeah, you don't want to do it. You don't want to do it, right?
[00:19:00] You just want some relief, but you don't want to really get to the root of the problem because you're the root of the problem
[00:19:05] But maybe I'll address him. I won't let's read this. This is mark chapter 9
[00:19:13] Guess I'll be turning there myself
[00:19:16] And I want to show you what Jesus Jesus went. I believe this about you
[00:19:23] He was the greatest teacher of all and I believe everything he did
[00:19:28] Even the way he did things he was teaching us and so let's read this. This is
[00:19:36] Mark 9 we're going to start reading at verse 14
[00:19:38] And says that when he came to his disciples
[00:19:41] He saw a great multitude about them and describes questioning with them and straightway all the people when they beheld them
[00:19:46] Were greatly amazed running to him and saluted him
[00:19:50] And he asked the scribes what question you with them and one of the multitude answer said master
[00:19:55] I have brought of thee my son which hath a dumb spirit and
[00:19:58] Wheresoever he taketh him he tarrith him and he fomoth and he nashes with his teeth and pine at the way
[00:20:03] And I spoke to thy disciples that they should cast him out and they could not and he answered him and said Oh faithless
[00:20:10] Generation how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you bring him unto me and they brought him
[00:20:17] Unto him and when he saw him straightway the spirit tore him and he fell on the ground and wallowed foaming
[00:20:23] I wish I could bring the video video of the demon manifestation in the child who they just took the video games away from
[00:20:30] Full on demons talking I'm gonna play it next week, but this kid was walling on the ground foaming at the mouth
[00:20:37] The spirit was tearing him
[00:20:40] Did Jesus jump in there and cast the demon out of the boy?
[00:20:43] New what did Jesus ask?
[00:20:46] He turned and he asked his father how long ago since this came unto him and he said of a child and
[00:20:53] Oftentimes he has cast him into the fire and into the waters to destroy him
[00:20:57] But if thou can't do anything have compassion on us and help us
[00:21:02] Now I wanted to show you something. It's Jesus here
[00:21:06] Jesus the Messiah
[00:21:08] The Son of the Living God God manifested in the flesh
[00:21:12] Operating in the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Why didn't he just
[00:21:17] Go cast the demons out of the boy and part with all this conversation
[00:21:22] He's teaching us as Jesus wanted to show us
[00:21:28] We got to get to the root of this problem. So when did this begin?
[00:21:32] So I do deliverance what I do is I always go back as far back as we can go
[00:21:38] I'll go back all the way to your childhood
[00:21:40] Let's go back to the beginning
[00:21:42] As most of your problems started in your childhood
[00:21:45] Your doorways the sins the things done to you things you are around
[00:21:50] traumatic events all these things shaped your life and some of them
[00:21:54] Gave place to the devil and some of them. It was your parents or your grandparents or your great-grandparents. They
[00:22:02] Did things that gave place to the devil in your life?
[00:22:04] And that's why we see these children these children look children are innocent until they reach an age of accountability
[00:22:10] So why are children being oppressed and afflicted and tormented and possessed by demons?
[00:22:15] Well, what did Jesus when Jesus said how long how long ago says oh?
[00:22:19] It's the guy said even when he was even younger when the child was younger
[00:22:23] And the demon was trying to you know cast and get the boy to cast himself into the water in the fire to kill himself
[00:22:28] Oh
[00:22:31] But then the man keeps talking and I love that people can just keep talking
[00:22:35] You find out problems. They just talk and he says to Jesus if you can do anything
[00:22:47] You don't say that to Jesus
[00:22:50] You don't say that to God. What is that?
[00:22:53] Revealed it reveals unbelief it reveals a lack of faith it reveals fear
[00:23:02] The problem with the child was the father's unbelief the father's sin
[00:23:09] the father's attitude
[00:23:13] That's why the child was like that and you have to remember all this is going on while the child is laying on the ground
[00:23:22] And his spirit is tearing him and he's foaming at the mouth and freaking out and there's a multitude of people around well
[00:23:29] Why doesn't Jesus do something so then Jesus turns to him and I love this one of my favorite stories in the Bible
[00:23:39] And he says Lord if you can do anything
[00:23:41] Help us have compassion on us and help us basically you're not doing anything Lord, so you're not you're not operating in love
[00:23:47] You're not doing anything and Jesus turns to him said no if you can believe
[00:23:54] If you can believe basically what he just told that father is if you don't move out of your fear your unbelief which is sin
[00:24:03] If you don't move out of that if if you can believe all things are possible
[00:24:09] I tell people all the time you want freedom from demons, but you don't even believe you're you're afflicted with them
[00:24:15] Right you say you just won't help with your problem, but you won't acknowledge the problems demons
[00:24:20] You don't have faith in God's word. It's not in what pastor Dean says
[00:24:24] Do you believe God's word do you have true faith, and I love the father cries out
[00:24:29] You know and he says you know he repents
[00:24:33] I love it. He repents, and he says a straightway verse 24 the father of the child cried out with tears
[00:24:40] Said with tears Lord
[00:24:41] I believe helped my unbelief and when Jesus saw the people come running together
[00:24:44] He rebuked the foul spirit saying thou dumb and deaf spirit
[00:24:47] I charge they come out of him and enter no more into him and the spirit cried and rent him sore and came out of him
[00:24:53] And he was as one dead and so much that many said he is dead
[00:24:56] But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose and of course
[00:25:01] When the disciples asked why we couldn't cast him out verse 29
[00:25:04] She said this guy didn't come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting
[00:25:08] So an important passage here now. This is what I'm getting at about we're gonna. We're gonna list doorways
[00:25:16] Because Jesus went back into the history of this boy instead of just casting just jumping in the situation and cast out
[00:25:23] So people always want me to jump into their situation and fix it for them
[00:25:27] Well now we got to find out some things we got to find out
[00:25:30] Why are we having this problem? Why what are what do these doorways come from? Why is there an attack?
[00:25:35] Why is this going on?
[00:25:37] This is a powerful scripture. We're gonna read a few scriptures here, but this is job 13
[00:25:41] You can turn there and look job 13
[00:25:44] 23 through 24 and verse 26 here, but he says here, and I love this he says how many are my iniquities in my sins?
[00:25:55] Make me to know my transgression in my sin and then he asked God wherefore hide is thou
[00:26:01] Why do you hide your face and hold me for for your enemy think about this?
[00:26:05] Yeah, you ever seen you know when when they're people gang up
[00:26:09] You know two or three guys getting up on another guy, and there's always one holding him holding him up for the other one
[00:26:13] I've been in some of those unfair fights, so I understand this I fought five guys when I buy myself
[00:26:21] I took out two of them, but I lost that fight all right hold him up, and he's saying here
[00:26:29] God, why are you holding me up and letting my enemy just wail on me? Why why why are you allowing this?
[00:26:35] And then Job says this
[00:26:39] You write bitter things against me, and you make me to possess
[00:26:44] The iniquities of my youth I'm gonna break that one down for you in a minute
[00:26:49] But let's look at the way to proceed if you want freedom from something if you want help from something especially a sin
[00:26:57] Problem a demon problem a marital problem whatever it may be the first step
[00:27:02] Is you better start talking about it because he says here he that coverth his sin shall not prosper
[00:27:08] But who so confesses and forsake at them shall have mercy Proverbs 28 13
[00:27:14] Here's James 5 16 confess your faults one to another and pray one for another that you may be healed
[00:27:21] And then of course having therefore these promises dearly beloved let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit
[00:27:28] Perfecting holiness in the fear of God so what I'm getting at that it is biblical
[00:27:34] to confess your faults
[00:27:36] Now some of us have so many sins so many faults so many open doorways to the devil
[00:27:41] That we couldn't do it all off the top of our head
[00:27:44] I know I couldn't back in the old days
[00:27:46] So I realized to thoroughly deal with my sins and the demons that I opened doors to I had to make a thorough list
[00:27:55] Let me show you how this is biblical
[00:27:58] The definition here of possess when when he told Job you make me to possess
[00:28:05] the iniquities of my youth
[00:28:07] the word possess y'all rush is
[00:28:12] Interesting because it means to occupy or to drive out previous tenants
[00:28:18] It is a picture. It's not the picture of
[00:28:22] You're making me to hold them or to have them
[00:28:25] You are making me drive out the inhabitants in my life that that came through my iniquities and my sins
[00:28:33] That is the picture of the word and if you go on to see the
[00:28:38] Genesis Hebrew Cal D lexicon
[00:28:42] Continues this thought when it says the word possess means to take possession of or to occupy by force
[00:28:49] So meaning you you must occupy you must deal
[00:28:54] With the sins and the open doorways of your youth
[00:28:57] By force is what he's saying
[00:29:01] Most of us have never done that
[00:29:03] We continue I love this because this Hebrew Greek lexicon continues to say you must take possession

[00:29:58] So this is why I make people write down the list so we can be thorough now. Here's your seven main doorways

[00:30:15] doorways that
[00:30:17] Open a way for a demon to come in and get a stronghold in your life
[00:30:22] Now each one of these folks can be a sermon. So I'm really kind of only touching on these things
[00:30:28] But number one is generational curses or the sins of our fathers that are passed down to the third and fourth generation
[00:30:36] childhood trauma
[00:30:38] slash abuse
[00:30:40] occult pagan practices
[00:30:43] number four sexual sins
[00:30:46] number five oaths vows and curses
[00:30:51] Things we speak or people speak
[00:30:55] six
[00:30:56] touch or close association
[00:30:58] Number seven unforgiveness or bitterness. I want you to write these down
[00:31:06] Now again, I'm not going to be able to cover all these thoroughly today. There's so much here
[00:31:12] But let's look at the verse of Scripture. Let's look at generational sins for just a minute
[00:31:18] Now this is numbers 14 18 that we have up here, but it's also in
[00:31:24] Exodus 20 right in the middle of the Ten Commandments
[00:31:28] The statement is made the Lord is long suffering and of great mercy and forgiving iniquity and transgression and by no means clearing the guilty
[00:31:37] Visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and the fourth generation. Oh
[00:31:43] My us parents. We don't like to hear that. They were responsible
[00:31:49] Now children and teenagers would like to try to take that see it's your fault
[00:31:56] Well, maybe when you were little but now
[00:32:01] It's on you
[00:32:04] We all straighten this out. I straighten it out of my own life
[00:32:11] Here's a New Testament passage to give you the idea that things are passed down spiritually both good and bad
[00:32:19] This is second Timothy 1 5
[00:32:22] He's talking to Timothy said when I called her remembrance the unfeigned faith or the good solid, you know
[00:32:27] sincere genuine faith that is in thee which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois and my mother Eunice and I am persuaded that
[00:32:34] It's in you also
[00:32:35] So there's good things that are passed down
[00:32:38] spiritually through the generations I
[00:32:43] Want to break break this down just a little bit before we get into the next one here, but
[00:32:48] Listen to me closely on this
[00:32:50] There was a there was a study done a guy studied two two men who lived in the 1700s
[00:32:56] In fact, I need to pull this up. I didn't I didn't have time to transfer all this, but I do have it here
[00:33:03] And this is from a book entitled generational curses
[00:33:07] it was quite fascinating because
[00:33:11] It just talks about these two men and one one
[00:33:15] was
[00:33:17] Everybody heard of Jonathan Edwards
[00:33:19] All right. Now listen to this
[00:33:22] You want to talk about things that can can follow a family for centuries?
[00:33:28] This is one of the most profound examples that we have ever read of families exhibiting the blessing or the curse of
[00:33:35] The generations is the example of the Edwards family versus the jukes family
[00:33:41] Jonathan Edwards who was the great?
[00:33:44] What was the head of Yale and the great leader of the?
[00:33:47] First Great Awakening. He was a preacher who's a man of God who's famous for the
[00:33:52] The the famous sermon that sparked the first great revival awakening in America centers in the hands of an angry God
[00:33:58] Anyway, he was a godly man
[00:34:00] You know Jonathan Edwards and Max jukes were contemporaries
[00:34:05] Their lives however could not have been more difference Edward Edwards was a committed Christian minister who gave God first place in his life
[00:34:12] and married a godly woman
[00:34:14] jukes was an atheist who married a godless woman a
[00:34:19] man once studied the descendants of these two men over a period of time and this is what he found of the
[00:34:27] 540 descendants of max jukes who could be traced
[00:34:31] 310 died as paupers poor
[00:34:36] 150 became criminals
[00:34:39] including seven murderers
[00:34:42] 100 were known to be drunkards and at least half of the women were prostitutes
[00:34:46] The antics of max jukes descendants cost the United States government more than 1.2 five million dollars
[00:34:57] back then and of course
[00:35:01] We we can see the drastic difference. Here's the descendants of the
[00:35:06] 1394 descendants that could be traced to Jonathan Edwards
[00:35:10] 295 graduated from college 13 became college presidents
[00:35:15] 65 became professors three were elected to the United as to be United States senators. This is back when our politicians had some virtue
[00:35:24] Another 80 held some form of public office one served as vice president of the United States
[00:35:31] 30 were judges 100 were lawyers 60 were physicians and
[00:35:36] 75 officers of the military
[00:35:39] 100 were missionaries and preachers
[00:35:43] 60 were prominent authors
[00:35:45] None of Edwards descendants was a liability to the United States government
[00:35:52] imagine that
[00:35:55] Amazing now that doesn't mean that all of Edwards descendants were godly righteous people or perfect or sinless or even that
[00:36:03] They became born-again Christians, but it shows the power of a generational curse or a blessing
[00:36:10] That can move down
[00:36:13] I'm gonna tell you I had to break a lot off of my life
[00:36:16] It was wild because I didn't know much about my my grandfather or my great-grandfather on my mom's side because they died early
[00:36:25] Well recently I've come to find out why they died early
[00:36:29] Because they were a bunch of roughneck hooligans
[00:36:32] And they love to get drunk regularly and they and when when they got drunk they got you know a little mean
[00:36:40] and
[00:36:41] even the brothers would pull out knives and fight each other and cut each other and guess what both my grandfather and my
[00:36:50] great-grandfather and my
[00:36:53] Grandfather's uncle. I mean my uncle my grandfather's brother
[00:36:58] Who fought in World War two and lost a leg?
[00:37:01] died were murdered in bar fights left for dead and
[00:37:06] died and
[00:37:08] I thought to myself
[00:37:10] This is what's so wild that curse
[00:37:12] Was haunting me in my teenage years
[00:37:16] Because I started going to the bars
[00:37:18] I started drinking and I started fighting I started carrying knives and the fights were getting worse and worse and they were going from just fist
[00:37:24] fights to people pulling knives on on each other and people pulling guns on each other and
[00:37:28] I remember saying to myself and you remember I had no knowledge of these things of this generational sin in my family and
[00:37:35] I remember thinking
[00:37:38] One of the last bar fights I got into it a guy pulled a knife on me and I pulled my knife out
[00:37:43] And I had a bigger knife. I talked him into putting the knives up and fighting for real
[00:37:51] But as I'm fighting him another guy's coming up behind me with a baseball bat had not a friend of mine had a
[00:37:57] Pulled out the shotgun and pointed in his face. He would probably crack my skull. It made me kill me
[00:38:01] I would have probably died the same way as
[00:38:04] My great-grandfather and my grandfather and I began to wake up and I began to realize
[00:38:12] Especially when I went into college in that years when God began to get my attention and I thought to myself if I keep going
[00:38:18] down this road
[00:38:18] I'm gonna be dead in a bar fight
[00:38:23] with a knife or a gun
[00:38:27] I'm gonna be dead and I just saw this
[00:38:32] I just realized this just the other day that this curse was haunting me now when I got saved when I learned the
[00:38:36] Truths of deliverance and breaking generational curses. I started breaking curses off everything I knew and it began to change but
[00:38:46] Man, I'm say one. I mean just to think about this one night
[00:38:50] That guy pulls a knife on me. I and my backs turn to him. I don't know he's pulled a knife
[00:38:54] The music's playing the bands playing. I can't hear anything
[00:38:58] This guy's getting ready to stick a knife in my back and I happen to turn around something told me turn around
[00:39:06] And I turn around and he had his hands that he was opening it the knife
[00:39:11] Big buck knife and I reached back and I snatched it away from me and knocked him unconscious
[00:39:18] But I would have been dead
[00:39:21] I think if it had to been for the prayers of my grandmother my great aunt's they were fighting the demons in me
[00:39:29] They were fighting the curse upon my life
[00:39:31] they were they were keeping me alive until I could get to Jesus and get the truth and
[00:39:38] Break the curses and get the demons out of generational curses are serious and they're real
[00:39:44] I could spend a whole sermon on that the next thing number two we talked about
[00:39:49] This is probably the main thing this this these statistics are true. I checked and double-checked
[00:39:56] These are true, and they're sad, but there's nothing that opens a person up to demons any faster than being abused physically or
[00:40:10] Even mentally, but especially sexually sexual sexual abuse will open the door to demons to come in
[00:40:18] Dissociative disorders multiple personalities all this stuff that can happen
[00:40:22] These are just different ways of saying
[00:40:25] Demon infiltration in a person's life, but look at this 17 million children will be sexually abused over the next 18 years
[00:40:36] 47% of child molesters were sexually abused as children the devil knows how to perpetuate the problem
[00:40:43] 42 million number of sexual abuse survivors in the US today, and that's probably conservative because a lot of them never tell
[00:40:51] 77 percent of child molesters are married 93 percent of child molesters consider themselves religious
[00:41:01] 90 percent of children have known they're abuser
[00:41:07] 1% of child molesters are female
[00:41:12] One in three girls are sexually abused one in five boys
[00:41:16] Do you think we have a problem in the world?
[00:41:21] number of convicted pedophiles living in the US
[00:41:24] 400,000 and they let them out and they're gonna do it again
[00:41:30] Only in this this disturbs me here only one in ten children will tell someone they were molested
[00:41:37] There's so many people this has shattered so many lives. It's it's beyond
[00:41:46] comprehension
[00:41:48] 80% of sexual abuse survivors have drug and alcohol problems
[00:41:52] 20% of male sexual abuse survivors will attempt suicide and
[00:41:57] 20 billion dollars has been the estimated annual mental health care cost of child sexual abuse in the United States
[00:42:04] It opens doors to demons very fast because see here's what happens when sexual abuse of any kind happens
[00:42:16] children
[00:42:17] have an ability to
[00:42:21] use dissociation meaning they kind of
[00:42:25] There's an immediate separation, and that's why a lot of them won't even remember
[00:42:29] Some of the incidents that happen because they dissociate in the process to deal with what's going on
[00:42:35] Now it's both the coping mechanism, but it also opens the doors for a demonic spirit, but this is from web MD. Here's just your basic
[00:42:45] definition dissociative identity disorder
[00:42:47] It's thought to stem from a combination of factors that may include trauma experienced by the person with the disorder
[00:42:53] The dissociative aspect is thought to be the coping mechanism
[00:42:56] The person literally dissociates himself from a situation or experience is too violent traumatic or painful to assimilate with the conscious self
[00:43:05] but what happens and
[00:43:08] The reason that the devil pushes so many people to abuse sexually abused children is because the devil's goal is to make a
[00:43:15] Demonic link between the soul and spirit to make a connection between the soul and the spirit so a person can learn to astral project
[00:43:23] This is the goal of all Buddhism Hinduism
[00:43:27] Sufism all the satanic meditation
[00:43:31] Visualization all of the new age techniques all of the practices of witchcraft and Satanism
[00:43:37] The goal is all to be able to create this spiritual connection with the spirit world
[00:43:43] Where you can your spirit can travel outside your body and you can operate in the spirit realm
[00:43:52] when you're asleep
[00:43:54] through meditation
[00:43:55] This is the goal. This is a witch is that the picture of a witch flying on a broom
[00:44:01] That that's that's just a image of something. I mean, I know witches can levitate and by seeing Chris Angel he can levitate
[00:44:09] He's a sorcerer. He's doing that through demonic power, but that broom a witch on a broom
[00:44:17] That's a picture of astral projection
[00:44:20] Being able to travel at night. Oh, yeah, and I've seen this I've witnessed this I've experienced this

[00:44:33] But it's important you understand that you are spirit soul and body and I've shared this before but you have three parts
[00:44:39] You have a body you have a soul and you have a spirit and the devil is trying to make a link

[00:44:47] Your soul and your spirit and he'll do this in your mind pretty much
[00:44:51] this is somebody looking at a candle the New Agers and
[00:44:56] People use things to meditate on to stare at or sounds or chance and it's all to open a doorway
[00:45:02] For the demon to come in and make a link between the soul and spirit so there can be this
[00:45:08] Astral travel astral projection. Everybody heard out-of-body experiences. These are real. This is real stuff
[00:45:14] I know of Christians that that they don't always experience this but but seeing in the spirit realm all the time
[00:45:22] I knew a kid name named Marty years ago and
[00:45:27] this was many many many years ago and he got saved and
[00:45:31] Just was you know walking with Jesus was doing great
[00:45:34] But one day he I just noticed he he looked like a mental patient
[00:45:41] Because he was always like you'd be in the room with him and he'd be on you looking around
[00:45:46] I'm like, what are you doing?
[00:45:48] Man, what are you doing? He said, would you see that demon over there? Did you see that spirit?
[00:45:52] Did you see that light? Did you see that orb and I'm like no and you're not supposed to be seeing them all the time either
[00:45:57] I said, how often do you see this stuff? He says all the time constantly
[00:46:01] He said I can't even sleep at night. There's stuff in my room. I see him moving you well
[00:46:05] He had been involved in what?
[00:46:08] new age meditation
[00:46:11] Blanking the mind visualization. He'd made a link between the soul and spirit. He could see in the spirit room
[00:46:17] It's called the third eye developing the third eye
[00:46:20] spiritual connection spiritual vision
[00:46:22] And guess what when I cast the demons out of him when I bound the demons
[00:46:27] I broke the link between the soul and spirit the demonic link and I bound the demons that came in through new age meditation
[00:46:32] It cast them out of them. Guess what? He quit seeing all they quit being tormented
[00:46:36] He didn't have a connection to the spirit realm anymore on the bad side
[00:46:41] and that's the goal listen the goal of all this meditation and chanting of yoga and
[00:46:46] Buddhism and Hinduism and the Sufism in Islam and the Kabbalah of the Jews all of this occult mysticism
[00:46:54] The contemplative prayer of the Roman Catholic Church all of this stuff is to create these chakras
[00:47:00] To create these power points to awaken in the spine what they call the Kundalini spirit or the Kundalini power and the word
[00:47:09] Kundalini means serpent so they're trying to awaken the serpent power
[00:47:12] That's the that's yoga and all of this stuff, and I love this little meme. I had to put it up here
[00:47:19] People be like I'm spiritual. Well demons are spiritual, so you better be more specific

[00:47:25] Being spiritual doesn't make you make it good

[00:53:38] Essential oils Reiki healing nutrition testing acupuncture all the different holistic healing methods that don't really have any
[00:53:47] Basis in reality that are just really divination and spiritual you're starting to play games
[00:53:54] Guided visualization this is when either someone or you they guide you that you close your eyes and they start trying to tell you what
[00:54:00] To imagine people do this with you know listening to audios or have someone in the room
[00:54:05] I mean there's conferences where they teach people how to do this stuff
[00:54:09] Hypnosis trances new-age channeling shape-shifting
[00:54:13] Self-mutilation a lot of this I've covered now

[00:58:29] Cursing what do you love? I've seen this in Freemasonry and again as I said each one of these I could do an entire message on

[00:59:51] Paul says to Timothy neglect not the gift that is in the which was given the by prophecy
[00:59:56] With the laying on of hands of the presbyter what he's saying there is
[01:00:01] The laying on of hands in a good way
[01:00:05] From a true man of God as Paul was an elder and a leader in the church an apostle
[01:00:09] He laid hands on Timothy and the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the anointing of the Holy Spirit the power of the holy was
[01:00:14] Transferred into Timothy from Paul laying hands on it laying hands is a ministry of the church
[01:00:21] But then he gives this warning in first Timothy 5 22. He says to Timothy lay hands suddenly on no man
[01:00:29] Neither be a partaker of other man's sins keep thyself pure
[01:00:33] Well, what is he teaching us? He told to me be careful who you lay hands on because it can make you on
[01:00:40] unclean oh
[01:00:42] She saying there can be a transference of spirits good the Holy Spirit and bad evil spirits
[01:00:49] You got to be very very careful who you let lay hands on you and who you associate with close
[01:00:55] Association will also do this. I don't have time to develop this but I will next week
[01:01:00] But look at the Apostles. Well first first Corinthians 15. It says be that seen
[01:01:06] evil communications or
[01:01:08] Associations is what the word is there
[01:01:11] evil
[01:01:12] associations corrupt good manners of behavior
[01:01:16] So meaning your associations can corrupt and control your behavior
[01:01:20] Let me tell you something you hang out with you. You only hang out with with demon possessed people
[01:01:27] You hang out with people full of lust. Let me tell you what you're gonna be
[01:01:30] You're gonna end up being full of spirits of love you hang out with people that are have addictive
[01:01:35] Problems or the drugs and alcohol before long you're gonna have it now people will say well, Jesus went they ate with the public's
[01:01:43] And since yes once in a while he went everybody acts like he hung out with him all the time
[01:01:47] No, he hung out with the twelve disciples the majority was time. He wouldn't go eat with
[01:01:53] Sinners to try to lead them to repentance not talking about total you stay away from everybody
[01:01:58] But I'm gonna who you hang out with who your friends are who your confidants are who your counselors are
[01:02:03] Who you hang out with who's your minister who ministers to you?
[01:02:10] Who do you let minister to you acts six six and seven?
[01:02:17] When they called out that they found me and they needed help in the church
[01:02:22] and it says they set them before the Apostles seven men and
[01:02:26] When they had prayed the Apostles laid hands on them and the Word of God increased in the number of disciples
[01:02:32] Multiplied in Jews. I mean is the layman of hands is it just an empty gesture?
[01:02:37] Why didn't if there's nothing to it? Why didn't he just say hey, hey seven guys get to work
[01:02:44] No, it says the Apostles called him up said, okay
[01:02:49] These are men full of faith. These were men that had a good a good report
[01:02:52] But they said let's lay hands on them because there's gonna be an anointing in part of them so they can do this

[01:03:10] This is where we finish today, and I finish her this today because if you don't deal with this
[01:03:29] You're never gonna get through verse 21
[01:03:43] Then came Peter to him to Jesus and said Lord how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him
[01:03:49] Till seven times and Jesus say unto them. I say not unto thee until seven times, but until 70 times seven
[01:03:56] Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened to a certain king
[01:03:59] Which would take it account of his servants and when he had begun to reckon one was brought into him which owed him ten thousand talents
[01:04:06] But for as much as he had not to pay his Lord commanded him to be sold and his wife and his children and all
[01:04:11] That he had and the payment to be made and the servant therefore fell down and worshipped and saying Lord have patience with me

[01:04:21] And then the Lord of that servant was moved with compassion and loosed him and forgave him the debt

[01:04:28] Which owed him a hundred pence and he laid hands on him and he took him by the throat saying pay me that thou
[01:04:33] owes and his fellow servant fell down at his feet and besought him saying have patience with me and I will pay the all and
[01:04:40] He would not but went and cast him into prison till he should pay the debt
[01:04:45] So when his fellow servant saw what was done
[01:04:47] They were very sorry and came and told unto their Lord all that was done
[01:04:51] Then his Lord after that he had called him said unto him Oh thou wicked servant
[01:04:55] I forgave thee all that debt because you desired me
[01:04:59] Should have not that I've also had compassion on my fellow servant is even as I had pity on thee and his Lord was wroth

[01:05:07] Delivered him to the tormentors till he should pay all that was doing to him. So likewise
[01:05:14] Shall my heavenly father do also unto you if you from your hearts forgive not everyone his brother

[01:05:22] Now folks hear what I'm about to say to you. You need to understand
[01:05:27] The moment somebody does something to you that's wrong
[01:05:32] They hurt you they lie to you. They deceive you they
[01:05:37] sin against you in some way and it hurts you or it angers you or
[01:05:42] It upsets you these things are going to happen. Now. I want to say this at the outset
[01:05:48] someone who is constantly
[01:05:51] divisive
[01:05:52] hurtful
[01:05:53] Causing problems all the time. The Bible says mark that person Roman 16 says mark a divisive man and avoid it
[01:06:00] So what I'm saying today about forgiveness does not mean
[01:06:04] That you have to ignore everyone's behavior and still hang out with him. So please understand what I'm saying
[01:06:11] We don't have to ignore a lot of people think oh if you forgive you just throw it away and there's no consequences or problems
[01:06:18] And you've got to hang out with I use the term all the time a woman that's a Christian. Maybe she got raped
[01:06:26] She has to she has to ultimately deal with that hurt and that pain and forgive that person who wronged her
[01:06:33] She's got to deal with forget. She's got to forgive them doesn't mean
[01:06:37] She has to hang out with them or become friends with him. So, please don't misunderstand what I'm saying today
[01:06:46] But you have to forgive from the heart when you have been hurt
[01:06:50] wounded
[01:06:51] mistreated lied about
[01:06:54] whatever
[01:06:55] Because if you don't if you hold that in
[01:07:01] You're going to become bitter and you're going to become angry and what the Lord has spoken to me many times
[01:07:06] Is that not this this is not just?
[01:07:10] This is not just an emotion. This is a sin you're committed
[01:07:14] Unforgiveness is a sin and it opens the door for the tormentors
[01:07:21] What are the tormentors pastor Dean take a guess?
[01:07:25] Dr. Larry Lee years ago. He talked about forgiveness and he because he used to preach on the Lord's Prayer and the Lord's Prayer in it
[01:07:34] right in the middle of it forgive those
[01:07:38] Who are indebted to us right forgive us of our sins as we forgive those and he used to say he said
[01:07:45] You know what? He said I read this about these tormentors. He goes. I don't know what they are
[01:07:49] But I don't want any of them. I can tell you what they are
[01:07:53] They're demons and they bring torment and they bring pain and they bring further division
[01:08:02] And what they're doing if you don't forgive somebody who's wronged you
[01:08:06] You're the one being destroyed
[01:08:09] So pastor, how do you know?
[01:08:14] If you have unforgiveness
[01:08:17] bitterness
[01:08:20] well
[01:08:21] Let's mention that person's name and see if anxiety starts building
[01:08:26] Let's mention that person's name and see if if anger starts rising
[01:08:37] Let's mention that person's name and see if we start rehearsing what they did to us

[01:09:45] Relationships and things that happen. I mean it's going to happen. It's going to happen between husband and wife
[01:09:50] It's going to happen between parents and children. It's going to happen between friends. It's going to happen between church members
[01:09:55] We are going to rub each other the wrong way
[01:09:58] We're going to say things sometimes that we shouldn't say we're going to do things sometimes we shouldn't do
[01:10:03] We're going to hurt people's feelings that didn't even intend to hurt their feelings
[01:10:06] We just said something stupid or did something stupid. I mean we are flawed people human beings are flawed. We're messed up screwed up
[01:10:14] We got insecurities and fears and worries and and you know prejudices and things come out that shouldn't come out
[01:10:21] But I can tell you this I can tell I didn't I didn't really know
[01:10:28] If you would have asked me this was a couple of years ago, not maybe a couple of years
[01:10:32] I guess it was a little over a year year and a half. I can't remember, but if you would have said
[01:10:36] Pastor Dean you you have unforgiveness
[01:10:39] Toward your daughter. I would have said no. I'm just I'm just dealing with her attitude
[01:10:44] I'm just dealing with her way. She's been doing I'm just frustrated. See don't we have all these nights?
[01:10:52] I'm just frustrated, but just frustrated, but I knew I was her you know when you don't
[01:11:02] even call on my birthday or Father's Day and make an effort or
[01:11:07] Christmas and I text you
[01:11:09] Call you you won't answer a text you won't answer a phone call
[01:11:13] All because you wanted to live in sin and I wouldn't okay it you know it gets a little
[01:11:20] You can sit there and go. I didn't do anything. I just standing for God
[01:11:24] It's true and because I love her I want her to come out of that and be right with God
[01:11:29] Well, and I shared this with y'all, but I went to hear John Kilpatrick speak
[01:11:35] He came to town
[01:11:36] Pastor John Brown survived and he came to speak and he changed his whole message
[01:11:43] Whole message. He was gonna preach on he started talking about unforgiveness, and I'm sitting there
[01:11:50] Just a few hours. You know a few rows back
[01:11:52] He starts talking about ministers have an unforgiveness. Oh, God
[01:11:56] And then the Lord speaks to me as he's talking and he says you you have unforgiveness toward Cayman
[01:12:03] And you know I noticed that over the last several months that I've been getting more irritable
[01:12:10] short
[01:12:11] They took a day. I was getting more depressed. I was I was getting more
[01:12:18] Frustrated with every little thing and I realized that you know my prayer life was difficult
[01:12:26] Bible study was difficult
[01:12:27] What's going on and finally the Lord says you have unforgiveness story all right can't argue with God
[01:12:35] Boy, it's pointless. You can but it's pointless and
[01:12:39] I said okay, what would I do and he said well you're unforgiveness in your heart
[01:12:45] Toward her is sin, and you had a confess it is sin, and you've got to repent
[01:12:51] I said Lord forgive me for having unforgiveness for my daughter forgive. I forgive her I
[01:13:03] Bless her and I asked Jesus to wash it away to forgive me
[01:13:09] And I bound the demon tormentors of unforgiveness go for me in Jesus name. I want to tell you
[01:13:16] Immediately I felt this heavy weight
[01:13:20] Lift off of me now she hadn't changed one bit of her behavior
[01:13:24] She's still a snot
[01:13:25] She hasn't changed one bit
[01:13:36] So you can mention Caitlin now and my anxiety level doesn't rise my anger doesn't rise
[01:13:47] My frustration doesn't rise now. Do I still have?
[01:13:51] hurt and desire that
[01:13:54] things could be
[01:13:56] Back to normal yeah, I do
[01:13:58] But I'm actually moved at a place where I'm trusting God with her and I'm not worried about it, and that's peace
[01:14:09] If you have unforgiveness you will have no peace you will have tormentors
[01:14:14] demon tormentors
[01:14:16] Because of the sin of unforgiveness
[01:14:20] Everybody say this with me unforgiveness
[01:14:23] Is a sin
[01:14:31] Listen some of you

[01:14:36] Even in this church you're you you're offended by you've been offended and hurt or frustrated or
[01:14:43] By somebody else in church, and you hadn't really dealt with it you tolerate them
[01:14:49] But you hadn't really dealt with and I'm going to end this message with this and y'all need to listen to me real close

[01:15:00] Nancy will tell you I'm not the easiest person to live with I have issues
[01:15:03] I mean I have issues man. I never claim to be perfect man husband or Christian new

[01:15:21] But I can tell you the strength of our marriage
[01:15:25] It's not just that we love each other because you know a lot of people start out loving each other don't they?
[01:15:31] Lot of people oh, we love you so in love you drive so in love
[01:15:37] I was hitting my head on trees trying to cut the grass
[01:15:39] I couldn't quit thinking about couldn't wait to see her a lot of you that's gone away had better get it back
[01:15:51] but
[01:15:53] you get married life
[01:15:56] Life's a bumpy road tonight, and I can say though the strength of our marriage is not just that we love each other
[01:16:06] It's not just that we agree
[01:16:08] Spiritually on things we are we are truly equally yoked together
[01:16:12] I have to say she is a very submissive wife and respects my authority doesn't mean we don't
[01:16:20] Bump heads about things sometimes
[01:16:22] But the thing about Nancy and I that that God has blessed us the strength that we have is God dealt with us both
[01:16:28] about forgiveness and
[01:16:31] So she could do something that gets me upset or angry or hurt or I could do something that gets her
[01:16:38] Upset and angry hurt, but one of the things we're able to do is it doesn't go very long does it back?
[01:16:45] Because one of us will usually go hey, I'm sorry
[01:16:49] please forgive me and neither one of us keep holding on to and
[01:16:57] We can have an argument today about something and we never bring up
[01:17:03] An argument from the past that lets you know
[01:17:08] All isn't that we're not bringing up that stuff you get an argument and stuff's coming up from ten years ago
[01:17:17] We have a problem
[01:17:19] But listen to me all marriages all divorces. It's not about
[01:17:28] Infidelity that'll cause it yeah, but but before long before there's infidelity
[01:17:34] Jesus said there was one thing that caused divorce or why he said that God gave Moses
[01:17:41] the
[01:17:42] Blank to say you could get a divorce
[01:17:45] But Jesus talked about it. He said
[01:17:50] hardness of heart hardness of heart
[01:17:55] Where does hardness of heart come from hardness of heart comes from when you don't forgive?
[01:18:02] From the heart when you don't release it things done to you wrong
[01:18:08] Look Caitlin has done me wrong and she could probably and she's probably looking back and things in in the past
[01:18:20] When her and me and her mother were together and she you know
[01:18:24] We had issues and she's probably still mad about something from 20 years ago or 15 years ago
[01:18:31] That's her issue. I can't change that
[01:18:36] You got to forget you got to let the past go and you got to forget and some marriages
[01:18:42] Listen, if you've been married any amount of time
[01:18:45] There comes a point where you got to lay down
[01:18:50] the weapons

[01:19:55] That God ordained and blessed. It's the death of a spiritual
[01:20:02] Joining together that God says is a good thing that he witnesses
[01:20:09] The two become one what God has joined. Let no man put a son there, but do divorces happen. Yes, they do
[01:20:23] But I can tell you I could trace everyone. Oh, well, he cheated on me. She cheated on me
[01:20:28] Did it to be pete pete pete pete pete pete whatever long before it got there hardness of heart unforgiveness bitterness
[01:20:38] Constant fights never drop in the past the sin of unforgiveness
[01:20:46] Sometimes on one side sometimes on both sides, but that's free
