[00:06:45] Welcome everybody here to Fire and Grace Church this morning.
[00:06:48] Those watching and listening before we get the message, I just have a testimony to share.
[00:06:54] I think I shared it with our folks on Wednesday night.
[00:06:57] But as some of you know, we are really close to closing on the land.
[00:07:03] So as I said before, the Lord has provided the finances already to buy the land.
[00:07:09] I knew for some time that it would be around one hundred fifty thousand and that we would be close to my house.
[00:07:16] I just felt like that's what the Lord wanted.
[00:07:18] And sure enough, we found just that fifteen point six acres.
[00:07:22] And I think it's going to be one hundred fifty five thousand is what we are going to do.
[00:07:27] And of course, I said when I first announced it that, of course, we can buy the land.
[00:07:31] We're just taking a step of faith.
[00:07:32] We don't really have the money after that to build a building with.
[00:07:36] Well, in the two weeks following, I've had one check handed to me for.
[00:07:44] It was said, well, sent to us, I guess you'd say mail.
[00:07:47] But we've had sixty five hundred dollar one and eight thousand dollar one, a thirty thousand dollar one and a hundred thousand dollar one.
[00:07:57] Yeah. So we will be able to get started on doing something here pretty soon.
[00:08:01] So God is providing what we need to do, what we need to do.
[00:08:05] And I believe it's not we're going to do anything fancy or huge or anything like that.
[00:08:10] But I think in the days ahead, we're going to have to have our own spot because they almost canceled Skyfall on us like a week out after all those all that money spent and plans made.
[00:08:22] And it was about to be a disaster.
[00:08:25] God just intervened.
[00:08:26] But I don't want to be renting a place.
[00:08:29] And then all of a sudden, at the last minute, they say we can't do it there.
[00:08:33] So anyway, that's kind of the reason behind that.
[00:08:36] If you have your Bibles this morning, I want to get your Bible out and turn.
[00:08:40] Oh, goodness, I guess we had just turned first to Isaiah fifty three.
[00:08:48] Isaiah fifty three.
[00:08:51] What I feel like the list one's been brewing for some time and I've been waiting on the Lord when he wanted me to get into this topic again, though I talk about it all the time.
[00:09:02] I feel like there's still some misunderstanding and there's some balance that needs to be brought to this.
[00:09:09] But what we're going to title today is knowing healing, knowing healing.
[00:09:17] Let me tell you, I've been in this charismatic, Pentecostal aspect of the church world now for going on thirty seven years.
[00:09:29] I've been in every type of meeting and revival meeting and healing service and prophetic meeting that you can imagine.
[00:09:38] I've been in primarily white churches.
[00:09:41] I've been in attended primarily black churches.
[00:09:44] I have been around word of faith preachers.
[00:09:49] I've been around crazy backwoods, Pentecostals that will walk the pews.
[00:09:56] I've seen a little bit of everything.
[00:09:59] There used to be a minister around here.
[00:10:01] He's passed away now.
[00:10:02] Brother Leon.
[00:10:03] Brother Leon was wild.
[00:10:05] Brother Leon was one of those old time Pentecostals.
[00:10:08] I remember one time they made the mistake down at Pine Grove United Methodist Church of asking Brother Leon to preach.
[00:10:14] Brother Leon said, the devil is in this church.
[00:10:17] And he ran.
[00:10:18] He said he was right, too.
[00:10:20] He said, we're going to run him out.
[00:10:22] And he ran down the aisle screaming at the devil, ran out the front door.
[00:10:26] You could hear him running around the building, just running around the building, came back in.
[00:10:31] We got rid of him.
[00:10:34] I mean, he was wild.
[00:10:35] So I've seen it all.
[00:10:36] I've been to places, places out in the woods.
[00:10:40] I've been to some good ones and bad ones.
[00:10:44] All right.
[00:10:45] And all in between.
[00:10:47] I've seen miracles and I've seen disasters.
[00:10:51] All right.
[00:10:52] I've seen God heal and do great miracles and I've seen God say no.
[00:10:56] And this is the hard thing for some of us Pentecostals and Charismatics to get a hold of because this is one of the errors.
[00:11:02] I'm going to say this at the outset.
[00:11:04] I listened to you.
[00:11:05] You wouldn't believe the rabbit hole.
[00:11:07] I went down yesterday.
[00:11:08] We don't even have time to get into all that.
[00:11:11] But one of the problems I heard Bill Johnson say this in one of the videos I watched yesterday,
[00:11:15] that it's always God's will to heal in every situation.
[00:11:20] I'm just going to go ahead and tell you that that's not biblical.
[00:11:24] God does heal.
[00:11:27] God does miracles.
[00:11:29] But is he going to do it every single time?
[00:11:32] No, he's not.
[00:11:33] And it's not always about a lack of faith.
[00:11:37] Sometimes the Lord is allowing something in your life because if you did not have that in your life,
[00:11:44] as the Apostle Paul showed, he said, if it were, if it, you know, because of the abundance of revelations,
[00:11:51] he said that he would have gotten into pride in the Lord allowed the thorn in the flesh.
[00:11:56] We're going to deal with that.
[00:11:57] Now, I know I've heard somebody say, well, you're not the Apostle Paul.
[00:12:00] Let me tell you what Paul said in First Timothy chapter one.
[00:12:03] He said that God had made him an example of the believers.
[00:12:07] So I don't want to hear this.
[00:12:09] You're not the Apostle Paul type thing.
[00:12:11] Paul was an example for us to learn from.
[00:12:14] He was in fact, in fact, he said he was a pattern of a Christian that God made him a pattern.
[00:12:20] You look at him and say, there's a man that lived the Christian life and we can learn from him in many aspects.
[00:12:27] All right.
[00:12:28] But let me just go ahead and say this.
[00:12:30] It is God's will to heal and to do miracles.
[00:12:34] He hasn't changed.
[00:12:35] But does that mean it's that he is going to do it in every situation, every time we want, the way we want, how we want?
[00:12:43] No, he's not.
[00:12:46] And this is something I've witnessed over thirty six years.
[00:12:51] And this is somebody and unless you've walked into I see used to pray for people that were dying.
[00:12:57] Don't talk big stuff to me unless you've walked into people's homes that have four year old dying of cancer.
[00:13:08] You ever done that one?
[00:13:09] I've been in some places that were difficult and I've seen great miracle happen and I've seen death happen.
[00:13:23] And this is something I think we need to get a hold of as Christians is that death is part of this life.
[00:13:30] And it's going to come to us.
[00:13:33] It's going to come to us one way or the other unless we go in the rapture.
[00:13:38] Other than that, it comes to us all so pointed unto man.
[00:13:44] What wants to die.
[00:13:46] And after this, the judgment.
[00:13:48] Now, we get all been out of shape sometimes about how that may or may not happen.
[00:13:53] But I want to tell you right now, our job as born again, Bible believing Christians,
[00:14:01] our first up when it comes to the issue of healing, we should always believe that God wants to heal.
[00:14:09] And we should always move in that direction.
[00:14:11] It should never be the first thought should never be.
[00:14:14] Well, he's not going to do it in this situation.
[00:14:17] That's not for us to decide.
[00:14:19] You understand?
[00:14:21] Our job is to believe him.
[00:14:24] Our job is to lay hands on the sick and believe that they will recover.
[00:14:29] Our job is to cast out demons.
[00:14:31] Our job is to first believe and ask for healing in the situation.
[00:14:36] God's intervention.
[00:14:39] And then after we've done all we can do to stand the results, the rest of the matter is up to him.
[00:14:47] But we can't get been out of shape if he says no.
[00:14:52] I've seen people situation years ago, a friend of mine, his sister, 19 years old, dying of cancer.
[00:15:04] Let me tell you what we did.
[00:15:06] We spent weeks and I'm talking about weeks at the hospital in the chapel, praying, fasting, asking God to do a miracle,
[00:15:16] laying hands on her, anointing her with oil.
[00:15:19] We did. We got everybody we knew praying for her and she died.
[00:15:26] But there's other stories like the woman that we knew in Montgomery who was in ICU.
[00:15:33] She had some type of serious blood disorder.
[00:15:37] She was bleeding out of her eyes and ears and everything.
[00:15:40] They even said that she only had maybe three days to live and she was unconscious.
[00:15:48] And we went and prayed for her in the name of Jesus and asked God to do a miracle.
[00:15:53] And I prayed a certain scripture over.
[00:15:55] I pray that she would live and not die and declare the works of the Lord.
[00:15:59] Again, do I have any power to do anything for anybody?
[00:16:02] No, no, none of us as a human being is just a regular normal human being.
[00:16:09] We don't have anything. If God doesn't do it, it doesn't get done.
[00:16:13] I'm sorry, but you can ask him.
[00:16:16] And I remember asking him and I said, Lord, I do.
[00:16:19] I pray. I said, Lord, would you walk in here and lay your hands on this woman and heal this woman?
[00:16:25] And I said, I pray that she will not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord.
[00:16:30] In fact, put that one up for me.
[00:16:31] I think that's Psalm 118, something 20.
[00:16:37] I don't remember now or one.
[00:16:39] I don't know. They'll find it.
[00:16:41] It's been a long time ago.
[00:16:44] But I remember that when like the next day we heard not only was she awake,
[00:16:53] she was completely healed and went home.
[00:16:56] They were in awe.
[00:16:58] They could not believe it.
[00:17:00] And you know what she said?
[00:17:02] She said that she felt death start creeping up her legs.
[00:17:08] She was she was unconscious, but she knew what was going on.
[00:17:10] And she said she felt death.
[00:17:14] She said the next thing she knew, she saw four angels at all sides of her four corners of her room.
[00:17:21] And then some she said she never saw the Lord, but she felt like it was Jesus leaned over in her ear and said,
[00:17:28] you will not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord.
[00:17:33] And she was immediately healed.
[00:17:36] Now, I believe that's what I'm saying.
[00:17:37] I've seen those kind of things.
[00:17:39] And I believe that nothing is impossible with God.
[00:17:43] Nothing.
[00:17:44] Absolutely nothing.
[00:17:47] I've seen every manner of sickness.
[00:17:49] He I've seen the death healed after my 21 day fast years ago,
[00:17:53] prayed for a deaf woman.
[00:17:55] And I remember having complete faith when I laid hands on her ears that God was going to restore her ears.
[00:18:03] And, you know, she went home that night.
[00:18:06] She'd been deaf like 90 percent or whatever.
[00:18:10] I mean, she was she was very, very deaf in both ears.
[00:18:14] She went home that night.
[00:18:17] That was a Wednesday night.
[00:18:19] I remember praying for her.
[00:18:20] She went home.
[00:18:21] And again, it was one of those you have to believe it before you before you see it.
[00:18:26] And she believed it in her heart.
[00:18:28] She believed that God touched her.
[00:18:29] And I felt that God touched her.
[00:18:31] And she went home and her husband put his arm around her.
[00:18:37] And she realized she was hearing his watch ticking.
[00:18:42] And she's she was hearing ever since.
[00:18:44] In fact, that was the the family that God told me to give my car to.
[00:18:48] After that, that's that's the ones that they took that car and drove all the way to Arkansas and prayed for them.
[00:18:53] The mother that was in the hospital dying.
[00:18:56] God healed her because of that.
[00:18:59] The the brother and sister in law got saved, gave their lives to the Lord.
[00:19:03] So again, I could talk about these testimonies just on and on and on.
[00:19:09] But it's not every time.
[00:19:11] And this is where the word of faith movement, most of your prosperity,
[00:19:16] I will say word of faith extremists have gotten into error.
[00:19:21] And this is where they've heard a lot of people because a lot of times they're like,
[00:19:24] well, if you don't get healed, you didn't either.
[00:19:26] Either it's a lack of faith or you didn't give enough money.
[00:19:31] Oh, right.
[00:19:34] Well, let's just go through a few scriptures this morning.
[00:19:36] Everybody go to Isaiah, Isaiah 53.
[00:19:43] We'll start with verse one.
[00:19:44] He says, who has believed our report and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
[00:19:49] For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant and as a root out of dry ground.
[00:19:54] He has no form or comeliness.
[00:19:55] And when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
[00:19:59] He is despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
[00:20:03] We hit as it were our faces from him and he was despised and we esteemed him.
[00:20:08] Not surely he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows.
[00:20:12] Yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted.
[00:20:16] But he was wounded for our transgressions.
[00:20:19] He was bruised for our iniquities.
[00:20:20] The chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes.
[00:20:24] We are healed.
[00:20:26] All we like sheep have gone astray.
[00:20:28] We have turned everyone to his own way.
[00:20:30] And the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
[00:20:34] Now, I could keep reading this, but we know this entire chapter is about Jesus becoming the Lamb of God,
[00:20:42] becoming the offering, the atonement for our sins.
[00:20:46] But I don't care what anybody says.
[00:20:48] I've seen a lot of videos as I've been studying this and looking at this.
[00:20:52] A lot of people out there just, you know, they want to be negative.
[00:20:56] They want to mock and they want to, you know, because, listen, I understand.
[00:21:02] Most of the charismatic Pentecostals and the word of faith extremists and these guys out there,
[00:21:09] most of them are, I am totally, it's almost like I'm totally embarrassed to say I'm Pentecostal and charismatic
[00:21:17] because there's so many that have taught error and have gotten into and made such a mess of things.
[00:21:23] It's like, I hate to say it, but listen, this is what I've said before and I'll say it again.
[00:21:28] I don't care how much counterfeit money exists in the world.
[00:21:31] I'm not throwing my real money in the trash can, right?
[00:21:35] And this is the way we have to be.
[00:21:36] Yes, there's tons and tons of counterfeit errors, demonic supernatural manifestations.
[00:21:44] But just because there's all that counterfeit and demonic and false
[00:21:48] and just because that 99% of the charismatic Pentecostal church world has gotten off the rails
[00:21:54] and in error and in ditches on one side or the other, does not mean that we throw out the baby with the bathwater.
[00:22:03] Does not mean that we give up what the Bible says and teaches.
[00:22:06] And whether you like it or not, the Bible teaches clearly that part of Jesus shedding his blood,
[00:22:14] part of the atonement, part of that process was not just to deal with sin,
[00:22:20] but he makes it clear here to bring healing to us, supernatural healing.
[00:22:26] It is part of the atonement.
[00:22:29] A lot of people don't think that Jesus, you know, we forget sometimes
[00:22:32] that he started shedding his blood for us before he ever got nailed to the cross.
[00:22:37] The beating he took, I'm sure there was some blood flowing.
[00:22:42] Roman soldiers weren't little pansies.
[00:22:46] And I'm sure when they put the crown of thorn on his head, there was quite a bit of blood.
[00:22:50] And we know that even before that, when he was in the Garden of Gethsemane,
[00:22:53] the stress of beginning to take upon him our sins and our depression and our sorrows
[00:23:02] and our sicknesses and all of our stress and anxiety said that he began to sweat great drops of blood.
[00:23:08] And they said that's because such stress was upon him that he had arteries starting to burst.
[00:23:16] So Jesus started shedding his blood for our sins before they ever nailed him to the cross.
[00:23:21] That nailing to the cross, yeah, the blood then flowed from his veins, from his wrist and from his feet.
[00:23:29] And then the blood and water flowed from his side when they stabbed him with the spear.
[00:23:34] And all of that, though, was to pay for and give us victory primarily over three things,
[00:23:43] sin, sickness and disease, and Satan.
[00:23:50] Now, sometimes Satan and the demon spirits are the one causing the sickness or the disease or the problem.
[00:23:58] Sometimes it's just part of the curse of the human body, the flesh that we inherited from Adam.
[00:24:06] You know, this is what a lot of people don't realize.
[00:24:09] They say, well, we're redeemed from the curse of the law. Really? Has that body been redeemed yet?
[00:24:17] Yeah, the price has been paid for it, but we hadn't cashed that check yet.
[00:24:22] I mean, if we had full redemption already for the body, then nobody would die.
[00:24:31] Nobody would get sick. There would be no pain, no problems.
[00:24:35] Now, the day is coming that this mortal body, this corruptible body,
[00:24:39] this body we got from Adam with all of his sin and the curse of sickness and death and everything else,
[00:24:44] there's going to be a day when the body is made new.
[00:24:47] It's going to be changed, transformed in the moment, twinkling of an eye.
[00:24:50] I can't wait for that. I need a new one, brother. I need a new one.
[00:24:54] I'm so glad to know I'm going to get a new one that's going to be like the one Jesus has
[00:25:01] that says when we see him, we shall be like him and we will have our flesh and bone back.
[00:25:08] I don't care if you were eaten by sharks and pooped out in the ocean.
[00:25:11] God's going to put you right back together.
[00:25:15] If you're his, your body is coming back together.
[00:25:19] He will raise it up. If he has to make you a new one just out of whatever particles are left,
[00:25:25] he'll make you a new one, but it's going to be eternal.
[00:25:30] But for now, we live in a mortal, corruptible and a body that is susceptible to the curse.
[00:25:41] Now, we can fight it. We can resist it.
[00:25:45] Now, let me say this also. Some sickness and disease, we can bring upon ourselves being el stupido, right?
[00:25:57] I know a pastor's wife years ago ate nothing but junk food, nothing but junk food.
[00:26:05] You eat junk food all the time, 24 seven, seven days a week.
[00:26:11] Guess what happens? Your body goes, something is wrong here.
[00:26:18] And then the body starts rebelling so you can make yourself sick, do some stupid stuff.
[00:26:24] Now, of course, we've got pharmaceutical companies that will make us sick.
[00:26:29] We got vaccines that will make us sick.
[00:26:31] We got stuff they're spraying in the skies to make us sick.
[00:26:34] Right now, there is a war upon our health in every in the food industry and the pharmaceutical industry.
[00:26:44] You name it. I mean, Monsanto, there is a war.
[00:26:50] And you know what? I believe in the days ahead.
[00:26:56] Even now, and from this point on, we're going to have to believe God for his protection,
[00:27:03] for his deliverance and for supernatural healing.
[00:27:09] But does this mean, and I'm going to say this very clearly,
[00:27:13] I have never ever said don't go to the doctor if you need to go to the doctor.
[00:27:20] Some of the old time faith preachers used to say, oh, if you go to the doctor, it's a lack of faith.
[00:27:26] And a lot of people, you know, what happened to him didn't go to the doctor and died.
[00:27:31] God has given some knowledge to the world system of how to keep you alive sometimes.
[00:27:37] And you know what? I'm glad of that. There's not a problem.
[00:27:41] God does not have a problem with you going to a doctor.
[00:27:43] But whether you go to a doctor or not, you have to have discernment.
[00:27:48] How many of you have been to a doctor and they got something wrong about you?
[00:27:51] Then you went to another one and they got it right.
[00:27:55] You better, second and third opinions are necessary.
[00:28:00] Why? They're human beings. They're human beings.
[00:28:05] But folks will tell you right now, there's nothing wrong with going to a doctor.
[00:28:10] God can use a doctor. God can use a surgeon to save your life.
[00:28:16] There's nothing wrong with that. But what do you do?
[00:28:21] If the doctor says nothing, it can be done.
[00:28:27] Then you need supernatural help. You need God's help.
[00:28:30] And this is available to us. Now, let's go.
[00:28:37] Let's go to. Oh, there's so much here.
[00:28:41] Well, let's go to one of my favorites, Mark 16, Mark 16.
[00:28:57] We're going to read 15 through 20 after Jesus rose from the dead.
[00:29:01] We've read this many times in this church because we believe this.
[00:29:07] And we believe this because we've experienced this.
[00:29:09] I've experienced this for years, but I want you to notice something.
[00:29:14] And this is why I'm going to bring this up because I'm going to tell you a great
[00:29:18] portion of the charismatic Pentecostal prophetic healing miracle people out there.
[00:29:28] They have made healing and miracle signs and wonders an idol and they have
[00:29:36] bypassed the first part of this.
[00:29:40] And the first part of this, he says, go into all the world and preach the gospel
[00:29:44] to every creature. If you'll notice, you'll watch some of these big time
[00:29:49] Word of Faith healing ministries all about signs and wonders.
[00:29:53] You know what? I don't hear from them anymore.
[00:29:55] They don't deal with sin. They don't talk about sin.
[00:29:59] They don't talk about repentance.
[00:30:00] In fact, most of them are once saved, always saved, no matter how you live.
[00:30:04] All fluff and puff and joy, joy, joy, jello and in skittles and everything else.
[00:30:11] And if we don't preach the gospel and the gospel is repent of your sin
[00:30:18] and make Jesus Lord of your life.
[00:30:21] And so if you bypass that, if that if that is not the main message that you preach
[00:30:30] and it's all about seeking signs and wonders and manifestations,
[00:30:34] then what's going to happen is that you make that an idol.
[00:30:37] You are out of order. And now because of that, you've opened the door
[00:30:41] for signs and wonders to come in that are not from God.
[00:30:44] And because that's your goal and not what Jesus said to do first,
[00:30:50] then you're in trouble. This is why Bethel is in trouble.
[00:30:58] This is why many of these is why all Roberts went down the tubes.
[00:31:03] I became about money.
[00:31:08] So that seed that that whole seed faith thing came from all Roberts.
[00:31:15] But he said, go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
[00:31:19] That means the cross of Jesus.
[00:31:22] The primary message is that he came to deal with sin
[00:31:27] and he didn't come to save you in your sins.
[00:31:30] He came to save you from your sins.
[00:31:33] You have to repent. You have to hate sin and love righteousness.
[00:31:39] You have to turn from wickedness and evil.
[00:31:42] You have to follow Jesus. Jesus has to be Lord.
[00:31:45] And this is where it comes into being faithful to Jesus,
[00:31:49] regardless of whether you get the miracle or the healing
[00:31:53] or the manifestation or the supernatural.
[00:31:56] Will you be faithful to Jesus? Will you repent and live a holy life?
[00:32:03] Even if you're suffering, even if your prayers aren't answered,
[00:32:06] even if you're going through pain and difficulty,
[00:32:09] will you continue to believe? Let me tell you,
[00:32:14] it's no problem believing when everything is sunshine and, you know,
[00:32:20] skittles and rainbows. It's easy.
[00:32:24] But when you're suffering, when you're in pain,
[00:32:29] when you're weak, when you feel like you're at the point of death sometimes,
[00:32:34] when you feel so bad, so weak, so sick that you can't even pray for yourself,
[00:32:38] will you remain faithful?
[00:32:49] If you're laying on your deathbed and God doesn't heal you,
[00:32:55] is that going to be, are you going to be offended with God?
[00:32:58] Are you ready to go? See, this is another thing as I get into this.

[00:33:15] I can tell you when I was at the point of death with,
[00:33:20] you know, that thing that came through a few years ago,

[00:33:28] I can't even say I had such and such.
[00:33:32] But I'm going to tell you when it was the worst,
[00:33:40] when I thought I might not make it, I was at peace, though.
[00:33:45] I was only worried about my wife and my daughter because I didn't want to leave them alone.
[00:33:49] But I was okay if that was it.
[00:33:53] You know why? Because this life is not an idol to me.
[00:33:58] Preserving this life is not an idol to me.
[00:34:01] This is not the end all, be all of everything,
[00:34:05] just surviving here a little longer.
[00:34:07] As Paul said, to depart and be with Christ is far better.
[00:34:16] He said, but I got to remain here in the flesh is more needful for you.
[00:34:21] Paul was saying, I'd rather just go on and be with him right now.
[00:34:24] And let me just go on and add this too.
[00:34:29] Death should be resisted until we know, absolutely know it's our time.
[00:34:35] But we've got to stop being afraid of it.
[00:34:40] Somebody, you know, I was talking to somebody that interviewed me this past week,
[00:34:44] and we were off the air.
[00:34:46] We were talking about, you know, they're going to release another disease X.
[00:34:53] It'll be something else, probably way more deadly than what we had before.
[00:35:01] And somebody, they were asking me, well, how do we how do we not get in fear?
[00:35:07] I said, we don't get in fear because, again,
[00:35:14] I'm not going to live my life scared to walk outside.
[00:35:17] If I'm not going to hide in my house.
[00:35:24] You say, well, what if you get disease X and you die?
[00:35:29] So be it.
[00:35:30] But I will not live in fear.
[00:35:36] I will not cower in fear.
[00:35:38] I will not let them have that pleasure.
[00:35:42] They will have to kill me with it.
[00:35:44] You understand?
[00:35:45] It's the same thing if they were threatening us.
[00:35:48] You got to go to church or we're going to come kill you.
[00:35:51] Well, guess what?
[00:35:52] I'm going to church, bud.
[00:35:53] So come do it.
[00:35:57] We've got to stop being afraid.
[00:36:03] You know, when I was running for governor,
[00:36:04] one of the things I was talking about people people shutting down the state
[00:36:07] and all this nonsense, taking away our freedom.
[00:36:09] I said, what happened to Americans?
[00:36:11] You know, we forget Patrick Henry was a was a very devout Christian.
[00:36:17] And when he was talking about give me liberty or give me death,
[00:36:21] I thought I would rather have my liberty and die
[00:36:25] than live in some kind of slavery under the government's foot.
[00:36:29] Freedom.
[00:36:36] You're not really free unless you truly are not afraid to die.
[00:36:44] And the only way you cannot be afraid,
[00:36:48] truly not afraid to die is to know Jesus Christ,
[00:36:51] the resurrection and the life,
[00:36:54] to know Him intimately, fully, completely,
[00:36:58] knowing you're born again,
[00:37:00] knowing the blood of Jesus has washed your sins away,
[00:37:03] knowing that you are living for Him,
[00:37:06] that He is Lord of your life, that He is your best friend,
[00:37:09] and that no matter what happens,
[00:37:11] if you get in the car today and you get hit by an 18-wheeler,
[00:37:16] you are ready to go with Him.
[00:37:19] So when these people want to talk about healing and signs and wonders
[00:37:25] and stuff, they should be also preparing people for that day
[00:37:29] that they're going to die and that you're ready for that day.
[00:37:37] Because the moment you die, let me tell you,
[00:37:39] I'm going to tell you right now,
[00:37:41] it's only like stepping from one room to another.
[00:37:46] You're going to step out of your body
[00:37:51] and you're going to go into heaven
[00:37:53] or you're going to go into hell, just like that.
[00:38:01] All these people talk about soul sleep, that's nonsense.
[00:38:04] The only thing sleeping until the resurrection is the body.
[00:38:08] The Spirit and the soul will immediately be present
[00:38:10] either with the Lord Jesus or in hell in torment.
[00:38:15] That's it.
[00:38:21] And I'll tell you right now, that's what you want to be ready for.
[00:38:26] And this is why the preaching of repentance from sin
[00:38:32] and truly making Jesus Lord of your life
[00:38:35] and being a true disciple of Jesus is the most important part of this.
[00:38:40] That's why He said first,
[00:38:42] go into all the world and preach the gospel.
[00:38:46] And every time Jesus said,
[00:38:49] when Jesus first said the word gospel,
[00:38:52] you know what came out of His mouth first?
[00:38:54] Repent and believe the gospel.
[00:38:56] Repent.
[00:38:59] Now let's keep reading this, then we'll go to Matthew 11.
[00:39:02] I'll show you something else.
[00:39:06] He says,
[00:39:07] He that believeth in his baptized shall be saved,
[00:39:09] but he that believeth not shall be damned.
[00:39:11] And these signs shall follow them that believe.
[00:39:14] In my name they shall cast out devils.
[00:39:16] They shall speak with new tongues.
[00:39:19] They shall take up serpents.
[00:39:21] And this is talking about demon spirit, serpents,
[00:39:24] not literal snakes.
[00:39:26] Anybody brings a real snake to church?
[00:39:28] You're heading right back out the door with it.
[00:39:31] He says,
[00:39:35] If they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them.
[00:39:37] And they shall lay hands on the sick,
[00:39:39] and they shall recover.
[00:39:41] Let's keep reading.
[00:39:42] He says,
[00:39:43] So then after the Lord had spoken unto them,
[00:39:46] He was received up into heaven
[00:39:48] and sat on the right hand of God.
[00:39:50] And they went forth and preached everywhere,
[00:39:53] the Lord working with them,
[00:39:55] the Lord with signs following.
[00:39:57] But notice what it says there.
[00:39:59] They went forth and preached the word everywhere.
[00:40:03] The preaching of the word of God,
[00:40:06] the preaching of repentance,
[00:40:08] the preaching of Jesus Christ
[00:40:11] dying on that cross for our sins
[00:40:13] and being raised from the dead on the third day.
[00:40:15] That He is the only propitiation,
[00:40:18] sacrifice, atonement for sin,
[00:40:20] and that you must not just believe in Him,
[00:40:23] but you must follow Him.
[00:40:26] You must surrender your entire life to Him.
[00:40:28] You must be willing to turn from these things.
[00:40:30] He said,
[00:40:32] If we'll go preach that everywhere,
[00:40:35] then He says,
[00:40:37] the Lord will work with us
[00:40:39] and confirm the word with signs following.
[00:40:42] People all the time,
[00:40:45] I want to see people healed.
[00:40:47] But are you preaching everywhere?
[00:40:50] It's kind of a prerequisite here.
[00:40:52] And what are you preaching?
[00:40:54] What are you preaching?
[00:40:57] You see, like some of these people like Todd White,
[00:41:02] Bethel, Kenneth Copeland,
[00:41:05] you don't hear repent.
[00:41:08] You don't hear live holy life.
[00:41:11] You don't hear go out and preach the gospel everywhere.
[00:41:14] No, no.
[00:41:15] I saw Kenneth Copeland video of him
[00:41:20] basically shoving a guy over who was in a wheelchair,
[00:41:23] flipped the guy over backwards.
[00:41:25] If I was that dude,
[00:41:28] I would own several of those airplanes ahead.
[00:41:31] But this is the level of ridiculousness
[00:41:39] that we have come to.
[00:41:42] Now, let's go to Matthew 11.
[00:41:45] As you turn into Matthew 11,
[00:42:01] I'm just going to read something.
[00:42:03] This is in John 4.
[00:42:06] And we may go and read this,
[00:42:08] but in John 4, 36 through 54,
[00:42:10] this is where Jesus heals the noble.
[00:42:12] But He says something to them when they,
[00:42:14] this guy comes in saying,
[00:42:15] you know, my son is sick and near death.
[00:42:17] And Jesus said this to him,
[00:42:19] He said,
[00:42:21] And you know what that tells me?
[00:42:24] He was getting a little frustrated.
[00:42:27] It's like all they wanted was signs and wonders.
[00:42:30] And you know what Jesus really wants?
[00:42:32] He wants us to believe whether we see those or not.
[00:42:36] He wants us to follow Him whether we see them or not.
[00:42:39] He does not want these things to be
[00:42:42] the end all be all to everything.
[00:42:44] Like a lot of Charismatics and Pentecostals have made them everything.
[00:42:49] Like this is the entire goal of Christianity
[00:42:52] is to see signs and wonders and miracles.
[00:42:56] This is not the entire goal.
[00:42:58] The entire, the number one goal is to live for Jesus
[00:43:02] whether you ever see a miracle or not.
[00:43:07] Remember when Thomas said,
[00:43:08] I won't believe unless I see?
[00:43:10] And Jesus said, blessed are those though Thomas
[00:43:12] who have never seen but yet believe.
[00:43:17] See, that's real faith.
[00:43:20] Matthew 11, verse 20,
[00:43:28] He says this,
[00:43:33] Now the word upright, He begins to
[00:43:35] basically strongly rebuke the cities
[00:43:39] wherein most of His mighty works were done.
[00:43:41] Why?
[00:43:42] Because they repented not.
[00:43:44] He says,
[00:43:46] One to thee Corazin,
[00:43:47] one to thee Bethsaida,
[00:43:48] for if the mighty works which were done in you
[00:43:51] had been done in Tyrean Sidon,
[00:43:52] they would have repented long ago
[00:43:54] in sackcloth and ashes.
[00:43:56] But I say unto you,
[00:43:57] it shall be more tolerable for Tyrean Sidon
[00:43:59] in the day of judgment than for you.
[00:44:01] Whoo.
[00:44:02] And thou Capernaum,
[00:44:04] which are exalted unto heaven,
[00:44:06] thou shall be brought down to hell.
[00:44:08] For if the mighty works which have been done in thee
[00:44:10] had been done in Sodom,
[00:44:10] it would have remained until this day.
[00:44:14] But I say unto you,
[00:44:15] that it should be more tolerable
[00:44:16] for the land of Sodom
[00:44:18] in the day of judgment than for thee.
[00:44:20] So He is saying here,
[00:44:22] you know what?
[00:44:23] He did mighty works in Bethsaida
[00:44:26] and Corazin and Capernaum.
[00:44:28] Mighty works,
[00:44:30] raised the dead,
[00:44:31] healed multitudes,
[00:44:33] but they as a whole did not repent.
[00:44:37] So He said it's going to be worse for you
[00:44:39] than it was for the wicked cities
[00:44:41] of Tyrean Sidon, Sodom and Gomorrah.
[00:44:45] So you can have all the signs and wonders
[00:44:47] and miracles and manifestations you want.
[00:44:49] But if there's no true repentance,
[00:44:51] if there's no fear of God,
[00:44:52] if there's no hatred of sin,
[00:44:54] if there's no real change in your life
[00:44:56] and you're just using Jesus
[00:44:57] for your little slot machine,
[00:45:04] then you are going to be in more trouble
[00:45:06] than the people of Sodom and Gomorrah.
[00:45:12] Because Jesus is like,
[00:45:14] what more do I have to do
[00:45:16] to get you to repent?
[00:45:19] It's almost like He's saying here,
[00:45:21] I did all that,
[00:45:23] and was it for nothing?
[00:45:25] I'm telling you,
[00:45:28] I feel the Lord's attitude about this sometimes.
[00:45:31] He's like,
[00:45:32] do I have to do stuff for you
[00:45:33] like this all the time?
[00:45:34] Do you have to see it all the time?
[00:45:41] And yet He will do it.
[00:45:45] That's what amazes me.
[00:45:48] You know, I think about Hezekiah.
[00:45:51] Well, how did you like this prophecy?
[00:45:52] The prophet Isaiah visits you
[00:45:54] and says set your house in order
[00:45:57] because you're going to die.
[00:45:58] That's a great word of prophecy
[00:46:01] to receive right there, right?
[00:46:05] But let me tell you,
[00:46:06] God knows the future
[00:46:08] and really Hezekiah should have submitted to that.
[00:46:12] But instead Hezekiah wanted to keep living longer
[00:46:15] and he turned to the wall
[00:46:16] and he just cries out to the Lord
[00:46:18] and before Isaiah can get out of the palace compound,
[00:46:24] the Holy Spirit turns him around
[00:46:26] and say go tell him I'm giving him 15 more years.
[00:46:28] Well, let me tell you what happened
[00:46:30] in the 15 more years.
[00:46:32] He had this evil little son named Manasseh
[00:46:34] who became one of the most wicked,
[00:46:37] evil, brutal kings Israel ever had.
[00:46:43] Had he been gone,
[00:46:48] there would have been no Manasseh.
[00:46:50] Also, he got into sin.
[00:46:52] Hezekiah had been compared to David,
[00:46:54] even more righteous than David.
[00:46:59] But then he got into sin and showed the Babylonians
[00:47:03] all his treasure and all these things
[00:47:05] and the Lord is like
[00:47:07] now everything you showed them is going to be theirs.
[00:47:13] I think about the death of Keith Green.
[00:47:17] Keith Green was one of the mightiest men of God
[00:47:21] in the late 70s and the early 80s.
[00:47:26] God was using him to bring
[00:47:28] thousands and thousands of young people to Jesus.
[00:47:33] He was a true prophet.
[00:47:34] He was a true man of prayer.
[00:47:36] He was a psalmist.
[00:47:39] He was humble.
[00:47:41] He was submitted to Leonard Ravenhill
[00:47:43] and David Wilkerson and those guys.
[00:47:45] I mean, he didn't think he had it all.
[00:47:47] He had true elders in his life
[00:47:51] and everybody's like wondering what in the world happened.
[00:47:54] His last days magazine was the biggest Christian magazine
[00:47:58] in the world at the time.
[00:47:59] I think they were in 180 countries.
[00:48:01] They were shipping that magazine all over the world.
[00:48:03] There was no internet back then.
[00:48:04] So there was no digital magazine.
[00:48:06] It was a real magazine going all over the world.
[00:48:09] I actually know people that worked for him during that time period.
[00:48:14] Then he gets on this plane to do a little joyride.
[00:48:20] Their private plane around their property
[00:48:23] along with two of his children
[00:48:27] and the plane never makes it fully above the tree line
[00:48:33] before it goes down and kills everyone in the plane.
[00:48:36] He was getting ready to do one of the biggest pushes
[00:48:42] across the country to get young people to go to missions.
[00:48:46] A lot of people say, why would God let that happen?
[00:48:52] Maybe, just maybe.
[00:48:54] God looked in the life of Keith Green in the future
[00:48:59] and saw that one day he might fall
[00:49:02] and cause a great, great scandal,
[00:49:06] a great reproach on the body of Christ
[00:49:09] and the ministry that he had had such a powerful impact
[00:49:12] for those seven or eight years that he did ministry,
[00:49:15] that it was more important for him to go to heaven
[00:49:18] than to stay here a little longer
[00:49:21] and end up screwing everything up like most men do
[00:49:25] that get success in the ministry.
[00:49:28] But see, who are we to say?
[00:49:32] Now, I have a theory. He may have been martyred.
[00:49:34] He may have actually been killed by the Jesuits
[00:49:37] because his last one of his last series
[00:49:39] that he had started in last day's magazine
[00:49:41] was exposing the Roman Catholic Church.
[00:49:44] So they might have planted, you know, the Jesuit CIA combo,
[00:49:48] their specialty in taking down small aircraft.
[00:49:52] That's one of their ways they get folks.
[00:49:54] In fact, if you're a target of theirs,
[00:49:56] you probably don't need to get on anybody's private plane.
[00:49:59] Probably not a good idea, but that's part of it.
[00:50:07] I would rather, if God looked in my future
[00:50:11] and saw that I was going to become a reproach,
[00:50:14] an embarrassment, a stumbling block,
[00:50:16] I would pray he would take me out or allow me.
[00:50:19] He can just back away and allow me to be taken out
[00:50:23] before I become an embarrassment, a reproach, a stumbling block.
[00:50:31] Now, I'd rather just be faithful
[00:50:34] and be able to say, like Paul, I've run my course.
[00:50:38] I've finished my course.
[00:50:41] But there is healing, and there are miracles.

[00:50:52] Let me look at Acts 10.38 real quick.
[00:50:56] We know Jesus did this, and I'm going to give you a few verses,
[00:51:00] and I want to talk about the balance.
[00:51:05] Not even 12, y'all. We're doing good.

[00:51:18] Maybe I'm tired. I've been up since 3.
[00:51:20] What did I say?
[00:51:25] Acts 10.38. I put it up here.
[00:51:30] Of course, this is Peter preaching to Cornelius' household
[00:51:34] and part of his sermon, but he says here,
[00:51:36] how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost
[00:51:38] in power who went about doing good
[00:51:40] and healing all that were oppressed of the devil,
[00:51:43] for God was with him.
[00:51:45] I want to show you some things here.
[00:51:47] A lot of people think Jesus always healed,
[00:51:49] but I want you to go with me. Go to Mark 1.
[00:51:54] We're going to look at some things here.
[00:51:56] Mark 1.
[00:52:08] We're going to go down to verse 29.
[00:52:10] This is right after Jesus first came from the wilderness,
[00:52:13] the temptation.
[00:52:15] He comes in. He preaches in the synagogue.
[00:52:17] A man with an unclean spirit cries out.
[00:52:19] He casts the demon out. People are freaking out.
[00:52:22] When they left the synagogue that day,
[00:52:24] verse 29, it says,
[00:52:26] When they were come out of the synagogue,
[00:52:28] they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew
[00:52:30] with James and John.
[00:52:32] This is Simon Peter.
[00:52:34] But Simon's wife's mother
[00:52:36] lay sick of a fever and anon,
[00:52:38] or quickly they tell him of her.
[00:52:40] And he came and took her by the hand.
[00:52:42] Luke's version says also
[00:52:44] he didn't just take her by the hand,
[00:52:46] but he rebuked the fever.
[00:52:48] And immediately the fever left her,
[00:52:50] and she ministered unto them.
[00:52:52] And at even, so a little bit later in the day,
[00:52:54] the sun did set. They brought unto him
[00:52:56] all that were diseased,
[00:52:58] and them that were possessed with devils.
[00:53:00] And all the city was gathered together at the door.
[00:53:02] Now look at verse 34.
[00:53:04] It's very important.
[00:53:06] And he healed many. Does it say he healed all?
[00:53:09] See, these words are important.
[00:53:11] He healed many
[00:53:13] that were sick of divers' diseases
[00:53:15] and cast out many devils
[00:53:17] and suffered not the devils to speak
[00:53:19] because they knew him.
[00:53:21] So here we see,
[00:53:25] all these people will gather.
[00:53:27] It does not say he healed every single one of them.
[00:53:29] It says he healed many of them.
[00:53:31] Now I'm going to show you another thing.
[00:53:34] Let's go to
[00:53:37] let's go to John chapter 5.
[00:53:46] John chapter 5.
[00:53:55] Verse 1. Everybody there?
[00:53:59] John chapter 5 verse 1.
[00:54:01] And after this there was a feast of the Jews
[00:54:03] and Jesus went up into Jerusalem.
[00:54:05] And now there is at Jerusalem
[00:54:07] by the sheep market a pool
[00:54:09] which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda
[00:54:11] having five porches.
[00:54:13] In these lay a great multitude
[00:54:15] of impotent folk.
[00:54:17] Sick people. Crippled people.
[00:54:19] Main people. It says of blind. Halt.
[00:54:21] Withered. Waiting for the moving
[00:54:23] of the water. For an angel went down
[00:54:25] at a certain season into the pool
[00:54:27] and troubled the water.
[00:54:29] And whosoever then
[00:54:31] first after the troubling of the water
[00:54:33] stepped in was made whole
[00:54:35] of whatsoever disease he had.
[00:54:37] And a certain man was there
[00:54:39] which had an infirmity.
[00:54:41] Somebody say 38 years.
[00:54:43] 38 years.
[00:54:46] And when Jesus saw him lie
[00:54:50] and knew that he had been now a long time
[00:54:52] in that case he saith in him
[00:54:54] will thou be made whole?
[00:54:56] And the immanent man answered him
[00:54:58] sir I have no man when the water is troubled
[00:55:00] to put me into the pool
[00:55:02] but while I am coming another step
[00:55:04] it down before me.
[00:55:06] And Jesus saith in him rise take up thy bed
[00:55:08] and walk and immediately the man was made whole
[00:55:10] and took up his bed and walked.
[00:55:12] And on the same day was the Sabbath.
[00:55:14] The Jews therefore said in him that was cured
[00:55:16] it is the Sabbath day it is not lawful
[00:55:18] for thee to carry thy bed.
[00:55:20] And he answered he that made me whole
[00:55:22] the same said unto me take up thy bed
[00:55:24] and walk. Then asked
[00:55:26] they him what man is that
[00:55:28] which said did he take up thy bed and walk?
[00:55:30] And he says he that was healed
[00:55:32] was not who it was for Jesus had conveyed
[00:55:34] himself away a multitude
[00:55:36] being in that place. And afterward
[00:55:38] Jesus findeth him in the temple and said unto him
[00:55:40] behold thou art made whole
[00:55:42] sin no more
[00:55:44] lest the worst thing come upon thee
[00:55:46] meaning your sickness your problem can
[00:55:48] come back upon you. The man
[00:55:51] departed and told the Jews that it was
[00:55:53] Jesus which had made him whole and
[00:55:55] therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus
[00:55:57] and sought to slay him or to kill him
[00:55:59] because he had done these things on the Sabbath.
[00:56:01] Now I am going to stop
[00:56:04] there but I wanted to point out something.
[00:56:06] Notice it says that he went to this place
[00:56:08] the five porches the pool
[00:56:10] of Bethesda. To me I find
[00:56:12] this just odd
[00:56:14] thing that God was doing back there
[00:56:16] having an angel go down and stir the
[00:56:18] waters. Now it wasn't the angel that was healing anybody
[00:56:20] but the angel was there
[00:56:22] to just stir the waters. The people were to
[00:56:24] step in to the waters by faith.
[00:56:26] And it's interesting
[00:56:28] that it was set up to whoever stepped
[00:56:30] in first and that was it.
[00:56:32] This also shows something about
[00:56:34] the character nature of God. He doesn't
[00:56:36] always do it the way you think
[00:56:38] and he wasn't necessarily doing it
[00:56:40] for everybody nor was
[00:56:43] he doing it at the same time.
[00:56:45] But here we have Jesus
[00:56:47] God in the flesh
[00:56:49] who's healing people casting out
[00:56:51] demons raising the dead crippled people walking
[00:56:53] blind people seeing and he goes to
[00:56:55] where there's a great multitude
[00:56:57] of impotent folk and he heals
[00:56:59] one person and then
[00:57:02] leaves. Somebody say
[00:57:04] one person. Why didn't Jesus
[00:57:09] heal everybody? I get this some people
[00:57:11] talk these people that want to mock us
[00:57:13] who do believe in healing and miracles still
[00:57:15] happen today. Why don't you go to the hospital
[00:57:17] and clean it out? I can't
[00:57:21] do that unless God says to do that.
[00:57:25] And obviously Jesus said he always
[00:57:27] did what the Father told him to do.
[00:57:29] So obviously he was
[00:57:31] not instructed by the Holy Spirit
[00:57:33] to stay there
[00:57:35] for the afternoon or the whole day
[00:57:37] or for two or three days and hold a revival
[00:57:39] and heal everybody there. That wasn't what
[00:57:41] God wanted him to do.
[00:57:47] So I wonder what the faith healers out here
[00:57:49] the word of faith extremists. I wonder what
[00:57:51] they do with this.
[00:57:54] I want to tell you one thing I believe the Lord
[00:57:56] revealed to me. One of the
[00:57:59] reasons I think he walked away from there as well
[00:58:01] and didn't do anything else.
[00:58:03] I think what was there was
[00:58:05] a spirit of selfishness.
[00:58:08] People always just cared about themselves. Think about it.
[00:58:10] The man's sick for 38 years.
[00:58:12] You know what? Why didn't some people
[00:58:14] who weren't as sick as him
[00:58:16] help him? You know what?
[00:58:18] Might have caused a revival.
[00:58:20] Might have happened that God would say, you know what?
[00:58:22] Everybody get in the pool and get healed
[00:58:24] if somebody would have showed some
[00:58:26] kindness and compassion and put somebody else in front of them.
[00:58:28] But who knows?
[00:58:32] That's just my speculation.
[00:58:37] But the Lord made this stand out to me
[00:58:39] because look I've read all the books.

[00:59:08] Let me tell you. There's truth

[00:59:13] God. There's truth in
[00:59:15] speaking the Word of God
[00:59:17] out of your mouth. There's truth to this.
[00:59:19] You know, the whole Word of Faith comes from
[00:59:22] Romans chapter. The Word of Faith
[00:59:24] is neither even in the eye mouth.
[00:59:26] Right? Death and life's in the power
[00:59:28] of the tongue, Proverbs says.
[00:59:31] We are saved when we what?
[00:59:33] Confess with our belief in our heart and then
[00:59:35] confess with our mouths the Lord Jesus.
[00:59:37] Faith does
[00:59:41] have confession tied to it.
[00:59:43] And again, I have
[00:59:46] no disagreement with any of them
[00:59:48] that God still heals and does miracles
[00:59:50] and signs and wonders still happen.
[00:59:52] I have no problem with that.
[00:59:54] The Bible teaches that.
[00:59:56] In fact, you know, put up Hebrews
[00:59:58] 13-7.
[01:00:00] What do we see?
[01:00:07] Let's keep going. It says,
[01:00:15] Remember them which have the rule over you
[01:00:17] who have spoken unto you the Word of God
[01:00:19] whose faith follow considering the end of their
[01:00:21] conversation. Keep going.
[01:00:23] Jesus Christ the same yesterday,
[01:00:25] today, and forever.
[01:00:27] He has not changed.
[01:00:30] Did Jesus heal the sick?
[01:00:34] Was that a big part of his ministry?
[01:00:36] Yes.
[01:00:38] Did he heal every single person that was sick?
[01:00:40] No.
[01:00:45] So, the way I look at it is
[01:00:47] if we're following Jesus
[01:00:50] and he's the same yesterday,
[01:00:52] a big part of our ministry should be
[01:00:54] praying for healing and believing for healing.
[01:00:56] But we have to be balanced
[01:00:59] and understand
[01:01:01] that we do all we can do
[01:01:03] and the rest is up to God.
[01:01:05] And it's not always in every situation.
[01:01:08] God's will to heal.
[01:01:10] And it's not always,
[01:01:12] look, it can be, look, it can be a lack of faith.
[01:01:14] There can be a lack of faith
[01:01:16] and God says, I'm not going to do this.
[01:01:18] This is biblical. In fact, go to Mark chapter 6.
[01:01:20] Going through a lot of scripture
[01:01:24] and it's not even 12 yet.
[01:01:26] Mark 6, we see this.
[01:01:34] So, this is part of it.
[01:01:38] Verse 1, it says,
[01:01:47] And he went out from thence,
[01:01:49] and he came into his own country,
[01:01:51] and his disciples followed him.
[01:01:53] When Jesus came, he began to teach in the synagogue,
[01:01:55] and many hearing him were astonished
[01:01:57] from whence hath this saying,
[01:01:59] from whence hath this man these things,
[01:02:01] and what wisdom is this that is given unto him,
[01:02:03] that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
[01:02:05] Is not this the carpenter,
[01:02:07] the son of Mary, the brother of James,
[01:02:09] and Joseph, and Judah, and Simon,
[01:02:11] and are not his sisters here with us,
[01:02:13] and they were offended at him?
[01:02:15] Now, the word offended at him means
[01:02:17] they were stumbling.
[01:02:19] They were stumbling at, like, wait a minute.
[01:02:21] Does this guy have this power and this authority?
[01:02:24] But wait a minute, but we know his family.
[01:02:27] Right?
[01:02:30] But Jesus said to them,
[01:02:32] A prophet is not without honor,
[01:02:34] but in his own country, and among his own kin,
[01:02:36] and in his own house.
[01:02:37] And he could there do no mighty work,
[01:02:40] save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk
[01:02:43] and healed them.
[01:02:44] And he marveled because of their unbelief,
[01:02:46] and he went round about the village's teaching.
[01:02:49] So, unbelief can be a factor.
[01:02:51] What is unbelief?
[01:02:52] You just don't believe in your heart.
[01:02:54] You don't believe God will do it.
[01:02:56] A lot of people say, listen,
[01:02:57] let me tell you something that's not faith.
[01:02:59] Believing God can do it is not faith.
[01:03:02] Believing God will do it for you,
[01:03:06] or for a person you're praying for.
[01:03:08] That's faith.
[01:03:09] You hear me?
[01:03:12] And we have to believe it.
[01:03:14] But also, walking in faith means we're walking in what?
[01:03:17] Repentance, obedience, holiness.
[01:03:21] So, when he says there was this unbelief,
[01:03:25] what it was was their sin,
[01:03:26] their sin of not recognizing,
[01:03:29] even if they didn't recognize him at the moment
[01:03:31] as being God in the flesh,
[01:03:33] but recognizing that he was a prophet of God,
[01:03:36] that he was sent by God,
[01:03:38] that he had the power of God,
[01:03:39] and they should have had a better attitude about it
[01:03:41] instead of worrying about who his family was.
[01:03:44] This is why, too, you catch more crap from your family
[01:03:49] than you do anybody else.
[01:03:50] You can go raise the dead
[01:03:56] and lead two million people to Jesus,
[01:03:58] and your family will still come in just not like you.
[01:04:06] I mean, that's just the way it is.
[01:04:07] But Jesus is what Jesus talked about right here, right?

[01:04:14] Now, let's go to the infamous 2 Corinthians 12.
[01:04:26] I alluded to this earlier,
[01:04:30] but let's address this,
[01:04:32] because there's a false teaching
[01:04:33] in the Word of Faith movement
[01:04:35] about Paul's thorn in the flesh.
[01:04:37] I had to correct this.
[01:04:38] One of our students posted some of this nonsense
[01:04:41] several years ago,
[01:04:43] and they posted it publicly,
[01:04:44] so I corrected them publicly.
[01:04:46] I actually still had to
[01:04:47] found what I wrote to them in my phone.
[01:04:50] But again, we hear things,
[01:04:52] and we just kind of regurgitate certain things
[01:04:55] that aren't necessarily true.
[01:04:56] Well, let's read this.
[01:04:57] Verse 1.
[01:05:00] He said,
[01:05:01] It is not expedient for me, doubtless to glory,
[01:05:03] when I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.
[01:05:06] I knew a man in Christ above 14 years ago,
[01:05:09] whether in the body I cannot tell,
[01:05:10] whether out of the body I cannot tell,
[01:05:12] God knoweth, such of one,
[01:05:14] caught up to the third heaven.
[01:05:16] And I knew such a man,
[01:05:17] whether in the body or out of the body,
[01:05:19] I cannot tell, God knoweth,
[01:05:21] how he was caught up into paradise
[01:05:23] and heard unspeakable words,
[01:05:25] which is not lawful for a man to utter.
[01:05:27] Of such and one will I glory,
[01:05:29] yet of myself I will not glory,
[01:05:32] but in my infirmities.

[01:06:07] For this thing I besought the Lord thrice,
[01:06:10] three times that it might depart from me.
[01:06:13] And he said unto me,
[01:06:14] My grace is sufficient for thee,
[01:06:16] for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
[01:06:19] Most gladly, therefore,
[01:06:20] will I rather glory in my infirmities
[01:06:22] that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

[01:07:19] In the New Testament,
[01:07:21] it's translated infirmity 17 times,
[01:07:24] weakness five times,

[01:07:27] sickness one time.
[01:07:29] But this right here says
[01:07:31] feebleness of mind or what?
[01:07:34] Body.
[01:07:35] Malady, right?
[01:07:37] What does that mean?
[01:07:38] Sickness.
[01:07:40] Frailty,
[01:07:41] disease,
[01:07:42] infirmity,
[01:07:43] sickness.
[01:07:44] So one of the definitions of this word,
[01:07:46] infirmity, sickness.
[01:07:47] Now,
[01:07:48] I want you to go to Galatians 4.
[01:07:50] I'll show you something.
[01:07:51] We know there is no speculation
[01:07:54] what Paul's thorn in the flesh was.
[01:07:57] We are told,
[01:08:02] because he says this,
[01:08:03] we're going to go down to verse 13,
[01:08:06] Galatians 4 13.
[01:08:07] We're going to read this.
[01:08:08] This is what boggles my mind.
[01:08:11] Why this has been a mystery
[01:08:12] in the body of Christ.
[01:08:14] For decades upon decades upon decades,
[01:08:16] I don't understand,
[01:08:17] because we're told plainly
[01:08:19] what Paul's infirmity,
[01:08:20] weakness,
[01:08:21] frailty,
[01:08:22] disease,
[01:08:23] problem in his flesh was,
[01:08:25] and it was recognizable,
[01:08:27] because he tells the Galatians,
[01:08:29] you knew this
[01:08:31] and you didn't despise me.
[01:08:33] Let me show you something.
[01:08:34] All right?
[01:08:36] He said, verse 13,
[01:08:37] you know how through infirmity of the flesh,
[01:08:40] so we can say weakness,
[01:08:41] frailty,
[01:08:42] sickness,
[01:08:43] disease,
[01:08:44] whatever,
[01:08:45] of the flesh,
[01:08:46] I preach the gospel unto you at the first,
[01:08:48] and my temptation or my trial,
[01:08:50] he says this was a trial which was in my flesh,
[01:08:54] you despised not nor rejected.
[01:08:57] Now, they could have easily,
[01:08:58] the Galatians said,
[01:08:59] oh mighty man of power and faith,
[01:09:02] where's your faith?
[01:09:03] What sin are you in?
[01:09:05] Like Job's friends,
[01:09:06] what sin are you in?
[01:09:08] But we know Paul had already told us,
[01:09:12] in Corinthians he told us plainly,
[01:09:14] what?
[01:09:15] God knew that if he didn't allow this in my life,
[01:09:18] this difficulty,
[01:09:19] this infirmity,
[01:09:20] this trial,
[01:09:21] this struggle,
[01:09:22] this weakness,
[01:09:23] this pain,
[01:09:24] if I didn't have this problem,
[01:09:25] I would have been exalted above measure,
[01:09:27] I would have fallen into pride,
[01:09:30] I would have gotten basically the big hit.
[01:09:35] Folks, it's like spoiling a child.
[01:09:36] You give a child everything they want when they want,
[01:09:39] you never say no,
[01:09:42] you never make them work for anything,
[01:09:42] you never make them suffer a toil for anything,
[01:09:46] you are spoiling and ruining that child.
[01:09:49] God is not going to spoil or ruin us,
[01:09:52] and he knows what will ruin us,
[01:09:54] and getting everything we want,
[01:09:57] how we want, when we want,
[01:10:00] is not the way he's going to make us
[01:10:03] into what we are to be.
[01:10:06] And with Paul,
[01:10:07] he allowed this,
[01:10:08] now what was it?
[01:10:09] What was the thorn in the flesh?
[01:10:11] What was the infirmity of Paul,
[01:10:13] the weakness,
[01:10:14] the trial that was in his flesh?
[01:10:17] He said,
[01:10:19] you didn't reject me over it,
[01:10:23] but now they were having a problem with him
[01:10:25] because the Judaizers had come in
[01:10:27] and were getting them to go back under the law,
[01:10:28] and Paul said,
[01:10:29] where is this then,
[01:10:30] this blessedness you spake of?
[01:10:32] For I bear you record
[01:10:33] that if it had been possible,
[01:10:35] you would have plucked out your own eyes
[01:10:37] and had given them to me.
[01:10:41] It was his eyesight,
[01:10:42] and it was probably from
[01:10:44] when he was struck blind on the road to Damascus
[01:10:47] and had scales come over his eyes,
[01:10:51] and the Lord obviously
[01:10:53] did not completely heal his eyes,
[01:10:56] which is why we see him,
[01:10:58] instead of writing the letters,
[01:10:59] he dictated them to Timothy.
[01:11:06] Now think about this,
[01:11:07] the Apostle Paul traveled all over the world,
[01:11:11] the known world at that time.
[01:11:15] Think about doing all that,
[01:11:17] all that he suffered,
[01:11:18] all the persecution
[01:11:19] and being thrown in jail
[01:11:20] and being beaten with rods
[01:11:22] and being whipped five times,
[01:11:24] being stoned
[01:11:28] and not being able to see clearly.
[01:11:30] Think about that.
[01:11:36] Why wouldn't the Lord just go ahead and heal him
[01:11:38] and make it easier on Paul?
[01:11:39] Paul was suffering enough.
[01:11:42] God knew what to do.
[01:11:44] Now, Paul was stoned one time,
[01:11:46] stoned to, I believe stoned to death.
[01:11:49] Most times they succeeded when they stoned you.
[01:11:52] You know what I'm saying?
[01:11:54] Because it wasn't like we see in the,
[01:11:56] some of the movies it's bad,
[01:11:57] like they're throwing little rocks at people.
[01:11:59] They will literally put you in a hole
[01:12:01] and stone your head.
[01:12:04] And then finally,
[01:12:05] if you didn't, once they stoned you a bit,
[01:12:07] and if you weren't fully dead,
[01:12:08] then they'd take a big old rock and come over
[01:12:10] and go ahead and finish you off.
[01:12:11] That was stoning.
[01:12:13] And Paul, we know, it says,
[01:12:19] that after he was stoned,
[01:12:20] the disciples gathered round about him
[01:12:22] and he came back to consciousness,
[01:12:24] probably back to life,
[01:12:26] could have been the time
[01:12:27] he was caught up to the third heaven.
[01:12:29] Maybe he actually died for a few minutes
[01:12:31] and they raised him from the dead.
[01:12:33] But we know that they prayed over him
[01:12:35] and revived him.
[01:12:36] So Paul was healed of that stoning.
[01:12:39] He survived being whipped
[01:12:42] with a cat of nine tails five times.
[01:12:46] And that usually took a person
[01:12:48] to the point of death five times.
[01:12:53] So did God intervene in his life?
[01:12:57] Yes.
[01:12:58] But did he take away that thorn,
[01:13:02] that infirmity, that weakness?
[01:13:04] And Paul then says,
[01:13:05] what about that infirmity?
[01:13:07] I asked the Lord to take it.
[01:13:08] I asked him three times to take it away from me.
[01:13:10] And he said, my grace is sufficient.
[01:13:15] My strength is made perfect in weakness.
[01:13:18] Oh, nobody wants to hear that.
[01:13:22] Nobody, nobody wants to feel weakness,
[01:13:30] frailty, pain, sickness.
[01:13:33] Nobody wants that trial.
[01:13:35] But sometimes it has to be part of our life.
[01:13:42] Job did not sin.
[01:13:44] No sin came out of his mouth.
[01:13:46] No sin was in his life.
[01:13:48] And the devil said, let me touch him.
[01:13:50] Let me put some, let me take what he has.
[01:13:53] Let me take some of his family, his children from him.
[01:13:56] Let me take his health.
[01:13:58] Let me take all of his wealth.
[01:14:00] Let me take everything from him, God,
[01:14:02] and he will curse you to your face.
[01:14:05] And the Lord said, okay, you can go do it.
[01:14:09] You just can't kill him.
[01:14:12] Now, Job, by the time the devil got through with him,
[01:14:14] was like wishing he had never been born.
[01:14:18] Anybody ever felt like that?
[01:14:25] But still, in all of his emotion,
[01:14:28] can you imagine all your children being killed?
[01:14:31] See, we don't know anything about pain, y'all.
[01:14:33] We think we know about pain.
[01:14:36] Can you imagine the pain he was going through,
[01:14:39] that all of his grown children were killed in one time?
[01:14:43] Then all of his cattle and all of his livestock
[01:14:46] and all of his wealth taken away from him,
[01:14:49] and then sickness to the point he just fought,
[01:14:52] he's got boils all over his body,
[01:14:54] and then your wife says, just curse God and die.
[01:15:02] Great encouragement there.
[01:15:07] Why do you retain your integrity?
[01:15:09] Curse God and die.
[01:15:11] You speak as a foolish woman.
[01:15:14] How many of us would pass that test?
[01:15:20] I haven't had a child die.
[01:15:25] I can't imagine the pain.
[01:15:27] I know there's people that have.
[01:15:29] I can't imagine that pain you have.
[01:15:32] Sickness.
[01:15:40] But sometimes these have to be part of the process.
[01:15:43] But does that mean that we cast out the truth
[01:15:47] that Jesus still heals and does miracles and answers prayer?
[01:15:52] Do we cast that aside?
[01:15:54] No.
[01:15:56] You know, I've gone through this.
[01:15:57] I've gone through this myself, in my personal life.
[01:16:01] I have the last three years.
[01:16:06] You know, a lot of people,
[01:16:07] y'all have heard me tell this story.
[01:16:08] Some of you have.
[01:16:09] Some of you haven't.
[01:16:10] When Bethany Grace, my middle child, was being born in 1997,
[01:16:14] I was in the hospital with my oldest, Caitlin,
[01:16:18] who was four at the time.
[01:16:20] And I had been in there, you know,
[01:16:22] going through the hours of the waiting.
[01:16:24] And I decided to come out.
[01:16:26] Caitlin was out in the waiting room with the grandparents.
[01:16:29] And I come out there and decided to start playing with her.
[01:16:32] And so I'm squatting down and letting her,
[01:16:34] a little four-year-old, run and jump in my arms,
[01:16:36] and I'm falling backwards.
[01:16:37] We're having a good old time.
[01:16:38] I didn't see that there was some construction going on in the hallway
[01:16:41] and there was a metal pipe sticking out of the wall.
[01:16:44] So after about the third time I fell backwards,
[01:16:47] I hit my head on this metal pipe.
[01:16:49] It felt like somebody swinging a baseball bat
[01:16:52] and hitting me in the back of the head.
[01:16:54] I'm surprised it didn't knock me unconscious.
[01:16:57] But when I leaned forward, when I sat back up,
[01:17:00] I felt this rush of fluid.
[01:17:03] I thought it was blood, but it didn't make sense to me.
[01:17:06] And, of course, I was a little woozy at the moment.
[01:17:08] It didn't make sense to me because I hit my head back here.
[01:17:10] Why would I feel blood coming out of my nose?
[01:17:13] It wasn't blood.
[01:17:14] I put my hands up because it was like a river.
[01:17:17] And I put my hands up like this,
[01:17:18] and it was the cerebral spinal fluid that's around your brain.
[01:17:23] All of it came out in my hands and filled my hands up
[01:17:27] and ran over onto my jeans.
[01:17:30] And I saw nurses' eyes like bug out,
[01:17:38] and they were like,
[01:17:39] oh, crap, you sit down right here.
[01:17:41] Don't move.
[01:17:42] So we get in the doctor.
[01:17:43] They ran and got,
[01:17:44] the doctor is supposed to be delivering Bethany,
[01:17:47] and you don't want to hear this.
[01:17:49] When the doctor walks up to you and says,
[01:17:51] you must be taken by wheelchair to the emergency room.
[01:17:56] You've got to have an emergency CAT scan right now.
[01:17:59] You can die from this, okay?
[01:18:03] They took me down to the CAVA CAT scan,
[01:18:06] and while I'm sitting there waiting for the CAT scan,
[01:18:09] I make the mistake of leaning over a little bit,
[01:18:11] and more came out.
[01:18:13] So what had happened was I hit my head so hard back here
[01:18:16] that it pushed all the plates of my skull forward
[01:18:19] and cracked severely right here above my nose.
[01:18:23] Big crack.
[01:18:24] I saw the x-rays in the CAT scan.
[01:18:26] Big crack right here.
[01:18:28] And I'm just going to tell you this.
[01:18:30] 99 times out of 100,
[01:18:32] if all your cerebral spinal fluid comes out into your hands,
[01:18:35] you are a dead person.
[01:18:36] Am I correct, Cherie?
[01:18:38] Our surgical nurse over there, right?
[01:18:40] So first of all, I'm still living.
[01:18:45] So I have the CAT scan.
[01:18:48] Sure enough, they say,
[01:18:49] well, we've got to schedule you for surgery immediately
[01:18:53] as we can.
[01:18:54] They say the first neurosurgeon is going to be here on Monday.
[01:18:57] You're going to have to wear a neck brace.
[01:18:59] You can't do anything, you know?
[01:19:01] So they let me go back upstairs.
[01:19:03] I make it back upstairs right before Bethany is born.
[01:19:05] I could see her born.
[01:19:08] Hospital is freaking out.
[01:19:09] They're bringing us gifts, baskets, and food,
[01:19:11] and, you know, they're afraid of big lawsuits coming.
[01:19:16] But I don't do that.
[01:19:20] But what's wild is that a couple of days later,
[01:19:25] I go to the neurosurgeon to prepare for surgery,
[01:19:28] and they say,
[01:19:29] well, we're going to do another quick x-ray
[01:19:31] before we do surgery, prep you for surgery.
[01:19:33] And when they did the x-ray,
[01:19:35] the crack in my skull here was gone,
[01:19:38] instantly gone.
[01:19:39] Like, there was, in fact,
[01:19:41] the neurosurgeon told me, he said,
[01:19:43] I see the x-ray and the CAT scan from the day before,
[01:19:47] and I see this.
[01:19:50] It's like it never happened.
[01:19:52] And he said, what do you do for a living?
[01:19:55] I said, I'm a pastor.
[01:19:58] And he goes, I thought so.
[01:20:03] He was like he wasn't happy.
[01:20:04] He had to admit that a miracle happened.
[01:20:06] Now, so what I'm saying is,
[01:20:08] I've seen God's healing and miracle power in my own life.
[01:20:12] And I could talk about other times as well.
[01:20:16] But for three years now,
[01:20:18] I have suffered with a serious issue in my left foot
[01:20:22] that's caused me pain, pain, pain, excruciating pain,
[01:20:27] excruciating pain that has kept me up many, many nights.
[01:20:32] Worst pain, I've broken bones.
[01:20:36] Football, I've broken bones.
[01:20:38] I have had knee surgery.
[01:20:40] I tore my Achilles.
[01:20:42] I fractured my scapula.
[01:20:44] I've broken my wrist more than one time.
[01:20:47] Fractured my skull.
[01:20:49] Nothing has hurt me pain-wise like this foot problem.
[01:20:54] Now, I can assure you that probably,
[01:20:59] I've had thousands of people praying for me
[01:21:01] for the last three years about this foot problem.
[01:21:03] I've had people fast and pray for me.
[01:21:05] How many nights?
[01:21:07] I can assure you me and the Lord have had a few conversations

[01:21:13] We've had some long conversations about healing and miracles.
[01:21:18] And during this time, like Skyfall 2023,
[01:21:22] the power and anointing of God was so strong on me
[01:21:25] and so strong in those surfaces,
[01:21:27] I'm still getting testimonies of people who got healed and delivered.
[01:21:30] I'm talking about amazing things happening while I'm suffering.
[01:21:35] You say, that doesn't make sense, Pastor.
[01:21:39] I agree. It does not make sense.
[01:21:41] This has caused a strain in my family life.
[01:21:46] It's caused a strain with me and my wife.
[01:21:48] It's caused a strain in just doing normal things.
[01:21:51] Now, see, what's wild is, though,
[01:21:53] I can get up here and preach for two hours
[01:21:55] and not feel it one time.
[01:21:57] Explain that.
[01:22:01] I stop, though, it gets hard to walk.
[01:22:04] And let me tell you, I had a nerve study done
[01:22:06] because they're thinking that I have a problem
[01:22:08] in the main nerve that runs through my heel and under my foot.
[01:22:12] Let me tell you, nerve study, you don't want one.
[01:22:15] Anybody in here ever had a nerve study?
[01:22:17] Did they shock you and stick needles in you that far?
[01:22:21] Yeah, okay. That's the nerve study.
[01:22:23] I asked them if they were a CIA torture team.
[01:22:26] And I said, I'm glad you guys aren't evil
[01:22:31] because I'd be in trouble.
[01:22:33] They were sticking needles in my leg and in my foot,
[01:22:37] the top of my foot, this deep,
[01:22:41] and then shocking me hard enough to lift me up off the table
[01:22:47] because they're shocking like from here down,
[01:22:50] they're running to test the speed of the nerves
[01:22:53] so they can find out what nerve's having a problem.
[01:22:57] Oh, it's a painful hour and a half of torture,
[01:23:00] just absolute torture.
[01:23:01] I'm still bruised.
[01:23:03] I'm still bruised where they shocked me
[01:23:05] and where they stabbed me.
[01:23:06] I got a bruise right here on this thing
[01:23:08] that's still this long, this big.
[01:23:11] Now, why am I sharing that?
[01:23:14] You can ask in a second after we get done.
[01:23:17] Why do I share this with you?
[01:23:21] Because even though I'm going through this
[01:23:24] and even though the Lord has not done a miracle
[01:23:27] to heal me of this, I still believe he heals.
[01:23:30] My faith is not shaken.
[01:23:33] I still pray for people that are sick.
[01:23:35] I still pray for people that have a disease.
[01:23:37] I still pray for people that are injured.
[01:23:39] And we've just seen a miracle.
[01:23:40] We've seen their friend, Johnny,
[01:23:45] Jonathan, I'm sorry, Jonathan.
[01:23:47] I was close.
[01:23:48] Jonathan, 22-year-old, bad car accident.
[01:23:52] They think he was going to make it.
[01:23:54] They went and prayed for him.
[01:23:55] Wednesday night before, not this past Wednesday,
[01:23:58] but the Wednesday before that,
[01:23:59] the Lord showed me prayer over handkerchief.
[01:24:01] Let them take it.
[01:24:02] They were going like that weekend.
[01:24:04] Pray over him.
[01:24:05] But that night, that Wednesday night, we prayed.
[01:24:07] I had a real feeling God was going to start
[01:24:09] miraculously bringing him out of that.
[01:24:11] So did Sal and Daniela.
[01:24:13] And sure enough, the doctors are amazed.
[01:24:16] He's coming out of it.
[01:24:18] He started responding where he wasn't responding,
[01:24:22] where they thought things were not going in a good direction.
[01:24:26] And this 22-year-old kid who was in a severe car accident
[01:24:29] who looked like he was going to die and end up in hell
[01:24:32] now has another chance.
[01:24:34] And this is just this week, this past couple of weeks.
[01:24:39] So what I'm saying is our job is to believe for the supernatural.
[01:24:44] It's to believe that Jesus is the same yesterday,
[01:24:47] today, and forever.
[01:24:48] It's to pray for the sick, to pray for the disease,
[01:24:51] to pray for those suffering,
[01:24:52] and to believe that God will do it.
[01:24:55] And then the rest is up to him.
[01:24:57] But he does heal.
[01:25:01] Healing is in the promises.
[01:25:05] Amen?
[01:25:07] Say, well, Pastor Dean, I wish I'd be healed.
[01:25:12] Don't give up.
[01:25:14] I'm still believing for God to heal this.
[01:25:22] But if not, it doesn't change my faith in healing.
[01:25:25] It doesn't change my faith that God still does it,
[01:25:28] that he hasn't changed.
[01:25:30] And I do believe in the days ahead.
[01:25:34] Look, there's some folks that are on different medications
[01:25:42] and we get into bad times.
[01:25:44] And we're talking about medications that help keep them alive
[01:25:50] and they may not be able to get them.
[01:25:55] And it's going to come down to believing God, trusting God.
[01:26:01] And that's where you, again, you've got to be ready to say,
[01:26:07] whether I live or whether I die, I am the Lord's.
[01:26:13] I am ready.
[01:26:14] I'm willing to do whatever I can do.
[01:26:17] Let me show you this, just so you see.

[01:26:21] For the people who believe that the gifts and miracles
[01:26:25] and all that ceased is not what Jesus taught.

[01:26:36] he that believeth on me, the works that I do,
[01:26:39] shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do,
[01:26:42] because I go into my Father.

[01:26:47] He didn't say that some of them that believe.
[01:27:06] He didn't say that those who believed in the first century.
[01:27:08] He didn't say only the apostles.
[01:27:11] He said, he that believeth on me.

[01:27:17] The word believeth, pistio, is a present tense Greek verb.
[01:27:20] What does it mean?
[01:27:21] He means that those that truly trust me,
[01:27:23] rely on me, cling to me, obey me, follow me continually.
[01:27:30] He said the works that I do, shall you do also.
[01:27:32] Do you believe that?
[01:27:36] See, I believe.

[01:27:38] I don't care if I've seen people die.
[01:27:40] I don't believe I can see people miraculously live.
[01:27:43] And I've seen those kind of miracles.
[01:27:48] We saw some at Skyfall, this point of death,
[01:27:56] and instantly healed.
[01:28:01] I believe this.
[01:28:02] I don't care what...
[01:28:03] I don't care what I'm personally going through.
[01:28:06] My experience does not change the truth of the word of God.
[01:28:12] I love how David talked about God's blessing,
[01:28:15] and how, you know, God would bless those...
[01:28:20] the righteous and all this stuff.
[01:28:22] So, it's not that way with my health.
[01:28:25] See, it didn't matter his experience.
[01:28:30] God's word is true.
[01:28:34] See, a lot of people, they want to talk about Charismatics,
[01:28:36] always wanting to experience.
[01:28:38] But the people who haven't received a healing,
[01:28:40] or a miracle, or seen a healing, or a miracle,
[01:28:42] oh, well, I hadn't seen it, so I don't believe it.
[01:28:45] I don't believe it can happen.
[01:28:46] I believe it's done away with, or it's ceased,
[01:28:49] or it was only with the apostles, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

[01:28:54] Your experience does not change the truth of the word of God,

[01:29:18] If you never pray for anybody that's sick,
[01:29:21] or you never see a miracle, that's okay.
[01:29:23] It's not like required, where you have to do that
[01:29:26] to go to heaven, okay?
[01:29:30] I think there's a lot of pressure
[01:29:32] within this whole Charismatic,
[01:29:34] or I was called Charismaniac world,
[01:29:37] that if you're not doing,
[01:29:40] if you're not out raising the dead,
[01:29:42] you're a subpar Christian, no.
[01:29:45] But don't ever doubt that it can happen,
[01:29:51] that God may put you in a situation
[01:29:56] to where you're going to need it.
[01:30:00] Had a guy years ago, where I live now,
[01:30:02] I was just visiting my aunt, my great aunts,
[01:30:05] eating lunch with them after his church on Sunday.
[01:30:08] We heard this crash, boom, bam, outside.
[01:30:11] A car had come flying down the road
[01:30:14] like an old Camaro had come flying down the road,
[01:30:18] and there's a curve right before you get to my house.
[01:30:20] Well, they didn't hold the curve,
[01:30:22] so they flipped this Camaro down the road,
[01:30:26] and it landed in my yard.
[01:30:29] Well, the guy who was driving the car,
[01:30:32] it was only one guy in there, it had thrown him out,
[01:30:36] and then the car tire had come off the rim,
[01:30:40] and the entire rim and weight of the car
[01:30:44] had come down on his legs,
[01:30:46] and he was pinned underneath his leg.
[01:30:49] Now, I'm not talking about, no rubber.
[01:30:51] I'm talking about metal pinned.
[01:30:54] So we get out there before the firetrucks get there,
[01:30:58] and the rescue unit,
[01:31:00] and I'm thinking, oh, boy, this guy's legs are probably crushed.
[01:31:06] I don't know about you, but the weight of a car, pretty heavy.
[01:31:10] Human bones and legs aren't made to support that.
[01:31:13] We're not a carjack, all right?
[01:31:15] And I'm like, and, too, he was bleeding,
[01:31:20] he's all banged up, you know.
[01:31:22] We didn't know if he was concussions.
[01:31:24] We didn't know if his legs were crushed
[01:31:26] and his bones had tore up his arteries and everything.
[01:31:29] You just don't know.
[01:31:30] You just take a bone and cut your vena cava,
[01:31:32] and you got 15 minutes.
[01:31:34] So we just start praying for him.
[01:31:37] My brother's there.
[01:31:38] Two people from the youth group of the church were there,
[01:31:40] and we're just, we start praying for him.
[01:31:42] Now, this guy, we're praying for this guy.
[01:31:44] For God to heal him and spare him,
[01:31:47] and he starts cursing us,
[01:31:49] telling us to get away from him, stop praying for him.
[01:31:52] We disregarded that, and just kept praying for him.
[01:31:55] This is no joke.
[01:31:56] I was right there.
[01:31:58] The firemen threw this airbag under there,
[01:32:01] blew it up like quick.
[01:32:03] It lifted the car off of him.
[01:32:05] They pulled him out, right in front of me.
[01:32:07] I'm looking at him.
[01:32:08] They pulled him out.
[01:32:09] He was wearing jeans like I have all day.
[01:32:11] They pulled him out of there.
[01:32:13] His jeans were not even torn.
[01:32:15] Where the car landed on him.
[01:32:18] His legs were not bruised, broken, or crushed.
[01:32:24] They took him to the hospital.
[01:32:26] He went home that day, fine.
[01:32:29] Still cursing God and hating Christians.
[01:32:31] But see, sometimes the Lord's going to put you in those situations.
[01:32:38] But that was one.
[01:32:40] But then, a few months ago,
[01:32:42] I'm coming down from the old Midway Plaza area,
[01:32:46] almost to Walmart, and I see it happen.
[01:32:49] A woman runs out in front of a car.
[01:32:52] She's crossing the road, never looked.
[01:32:54] I mean, I was a witness for the poor lady that hit her
[01:32:57] because it was not her fault.
[01:32:59] The lady never even turned and looked,
[01:33:04] ran right in front of this car going about 50 miles an hour.
[01:33:07] It hit her and threw her up in the air,
[01:33:10] higher than this ceiling, about 20 or 30 feet,
[01:33:13] and she lands almost right in front of me.
[01:33:15] I'm the first one to pull over and pray for her.
[01:33:19] And I can keep everybody from moving her
[01:33:21] because you don't know if her neck's broken or whatever.
[01:33:24] She's still breathing, and I'm like,
[01:33:27] but it doesn't look good.
[01:33:28] Her bones sticking out of her legs.
[01:33:29] You know, it was bad.
[01:33:30] It was ugly.
[01:33:32] But I had laid hands on her, and I prayed for her,
[01:33:35] that God would have mercy on her.
[01:33:36] She would live and not die, and I prayed the same prayer.
[01:33:41] But by the time they got there,
[01:33:42] and I'm gonna tell you what, they took their sweet time,
[01:33:45] and I'm like, this lady's gonna die if they don't hurry up.
[01:33:51] But they got there, they got her on the gurney,
[01:33:53] and then I saw it.
[01:33:55] She coded for they got her into the ambulance.
[01:34:00] And then we heard later she didn't make it.
[01:34:04] So let me say this.
[01:34:05] You don't win every battle.
[01:34:09] But you know what I prayed for her while I was praying?
[01:34:11] And not just that God would spare her life and let her live,
[01:34:16] but I prayed for her, and out loud said,
[01:34:20] Lord, I don't know this woman.
[01:34:22] I don't know if she's yours or not.
[01:34:27] But there's this thing we can do,
[01:34:29] and this may be controversial, and I'm gonna just say it.
[01:34:32] But I just asked the Lord, I said, I don't know
[01:34:37] if she's in sin or she's fallen away from you,
[01:34:39] but I just ask you, Lord, to forgive her sins.
[01:34:44] And I said to her, I didn't know if she was unconscious,
[01:34:48] but you still say it, but if you don't know Jesus,
[01:34:51] ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior
[01:34:54] because that's what's most important.
[01:34:56] And I just prayed, Lord, that you'd forgive her sins
[01:34:58] and have mercy on her.
[01:35:00] And there is the Scripture talking about
[01:35:02] you can pray for those that do not have life
[01:35:04] that they would have life.
[01:35:06] Now, do I know where she is right now?
[01:35:08] I have no idea.
[01:35:10] I have no idea.
[01:35:11] I knew nothing about her.
[01:35:15] But this is again why it's more important
[01:35:18] that you repent of sin,
[01:35:21] and you know Jesus is Lord, and you know you're born again,
[01:35:24] and you know you're walking with Him,
[01:35:25] and you know you're ready if it's you
[01:35:28] that ends up stepping out in front of the car.
[01:35:30] It's more important than the miracle.
[01:35:36] It's more important than the healing.
[01:35:38] Do you know you are saved?
[01:35:41] You are born again.
[01:35:42] You are washed in the blood of the Lamb.
[01:35:44] Do you know by witness of the Holy Spirit
[01:35:47] that you have been your spirit man
[01:35:49] that was dead and alienated from the life of God,
[01:35:51] is alive to God?
[01:35:53] Do you know that you have a real relationship?
[01:35:56] Have you felt Him when He came in
[01:35:58] and cleaned you up and washed your sins away
[01:36:00] and gave you peace and joy
[01:36:03] and you know you have forgiveness of sins?
[01:36:06] That's most important.
[01:36:08] That is the gospel.
[01:36:13] Then you are ready.
[01:36:14] Then if God wants to do a miracle for you,
[01:36:17] spare your life, extend your life,
[01:36:19] that's great.
[01:36:24] But see, this is why we've got to be clear
[01:36:26] what's more important.
[01:36:27] A healing or a miracle or a sign or a wonder
[01:36:30] or salvation.
[01:36:31] It's always more important, salvation.
[01:36:33] Always repentance of sin.
[01:36:36] Always the cross and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

[01:36:43] Do you preach everywhere?
[01:36:45] Do you tell people this truth?
[01:36:47] You want God to work with you
[01:36:49] and you want signs to follow you?
[01:36:51] You've got to preach the gospel
[01:36:53] that includes repentance,
[01:36:55] that makes Jesus Lord,
[01:36:57] that hates sin, that talks specifically about sin
[01:37:00] that you need to turn away from.
[01:37:02] See, I tell the fornicators,
[01:37:04] you can't keep living in fornication.
[01:37:06] I tell the adulterers,
[01:37:07] you can't keep living in adultery.
[01:37:09] I tell the drug addicts,
[01:37:10] you can't keep living in the drugs.
[01:37:12] I tell the drunkards,
[01:37:13] you can't keep getting drunk.
[01:37:15] You've got to repent.
[01:37:16] You've got to confess that,
[01:37:17] forsake it, turn away from it.

[01:37:24] If you do, then start expecting
[01:37:26] signs and wonders and healings
[01:37:28] and miracles to take place.

[01:37:31] Lay hands on the sick.

[01:37:35] But don't let your faith be shaken
[01:37:38] if you don't get a miracle
[01:37:40] or you don't get an answer sometimes
[01:37:42] or the miracle doesn't happen
[01:37:43] or the person dies or they stay sick
[01:37:45] or you still go through a struggle.
[01:37:47] Don't let your faith be shaken.

[01:37:52] no matter what trial you're going through.

[01:37:54] where the answer to the specific prayer is no.

[01:37:59] if you have to go through
[01:38:01] a long season of trial and pain and suffering.
[01:38:04] Will you be faithful to Jesus
[01:38:07] and love Him and believe the Word of God
[01:38:10] even if you're going through all that?

[01:38:17] I'm believing for people to get healed
[01:38:19] while I am in pain
[01:38:21] and having trouble even walking around
[01:38:23] in there and then Saturday evening

[01:38:28] or as we start praising worship,
[01:38:30] the Holy Spirit tells me
[01:38:31] on Saturday morning
[01:38:33] I'm going to heal people tonight.
[01:38:35] I thought, Lord,
[01:38:36] I'd like to be included in that group.
[01:38:38] But He did that night.
[01:38:41] We saw many, many people
[01:38:43] miraculously supernaturally healed
[01:38:45] that will testify this.
[01:38:47] We got sent testimonies.
[01:38:49] So let me ask you something.
[01:38:55] You think it's easier to pray and believe
[01:38:57] for a miracle when you need one,
[01:39:01] when you're suffering in pain,
[01:39:04] when you've asked and it hadn't happened?
[01:39:06] I think it takes more faith to believe it
[01:39:08] when it's not happening for you
[01:39:10] but to believe it for somebody else.
[01:39:13] Oh, and I've been attacked.
[01:39:18] I've got some friends like Job.

[01:39:30] I think some of them are repented of that.

[02:11:47] it was like man stuff was God was moving in a powerful way.
[02:11:51] And there are seasons, but I think we're moving into another season.
[02:11:54] So you received this father in Jesus name.

[02:14:18] We bind spirits of depression, heaviness.
[02:14:20] We bind the spirit of suicide and rebuke you

[02:20:35] Years ago, my dad worked at the VA where he works in
[02:20:40] Montgomery and years ago.
[02:20:41] This is late 80s, early 90s, somewhere in that time
[02:20:44] period.
[02:20:45] But I've shared this before, but it was it was powerful
[02:20:48] because my dad worked with this woman there who was
[02:20:51] diagnosed with breast cancer stage four and it wasn't
[02:20:55] looking good for her.
[02:20:56] And I'd never met her.
[02:20:58] And but my dad just told me, so would you pray for
[02:21:00] and, you know, he worked with her every day.
[02:21:02] And I said, sure.
[02:21:03] So I was praying that day and I was praying in tongues
[02:21:08] and just laying in in the floor.
[02:21:11] And I saw this vision.
[02:21:12] The Lord just showed me.
[02:21:13] I had my eyes closed, but I saw this like a movie
[02:21:15] almost play.
[02:21:16] And I saw the VA and I saw the office from my dad
[02:21:19] work and I saw her standing there and I saw this
[02:21:24] demon sized monkey monkey sized demon.
[02:21:28] I should say it was hanging on her like, you know,
[02:21:30] you would carry a little monkey.
[02:21:31] It had his little legs wrapped around right here
[02:21:33] and it had its hand across her chest and it had
[02:21:36] other hand around her back and its head was about
[02:21:39] right here.
[02:21:40] And it, you know, evil looking thing.
[02:21:41] It wasn't, you know, it's just I could see it,
[02:21:44] but I could see through it and I could see her.
[02:21:46] And the Lord said, command that thing to leave
[02:21:50] her command that demon to leave her.
[02:21:52] So I said in the name of Jesus,
[02:21:54] I command that demon spirit of cancer.
[02:21:57] I bind you.
[02:21:58] I break your power off of you.
[02:21:59] I command you to lose her and let her go.
[02:22:03] I saw him fall off of her and like somebody took
[02:22:07] a little stick and beat it as it kind of whimpered
[02:22:10] and cried and ran away.
[02:22:13] So I knew she was healed.
[02:22:15] I knew God healed her delivered her because
[02:22:17] sometimes the sickness is a demon.
[02:22:19] It is a demon, not all the time, but sometimes.
[02:22:22] And I called my dad and I said,
[02:22:26] I told him exactly what happened.
[02:22:29] I said, you tell her that she is healed to
[02:22:32] believe it and it's done.
[02:22:36] So my dad told her the whole thing and she
[02:22:39] believed it.
[02:22:40] And when she went back to the doctor,
[02:22:42] cancer was gone completely.
[02:22:44] OK, but I tell that story because I never
[02:22:49] laid hands on her.
[02:22:50] I never met her.
[02:22:51] I never saw her.
[02:22:53] It was completely the Lord,
[02:22:56] but she had to believe it.
[02:22:58] And when I say believe it, you believe that you
[02:23:01] receive before you may even see the physical
[02:23:04] manifestation of it.
[02:23:06] And that's in fact, can we put up one more
[02:23:08] scripture for him?
[02:23:11] Put up Mark eleven twenty four.
[02:23:13] This is important.
[02:23:14] Whatsoever things you desire,
[02:23:17] when you pray, believe you receive them
[02:23:21] and you shall have them.
[02:23:24] See, this is faith.
[02:23:25] Some people say I believe it when I see it.
[02:23:27] Faith is you believe it and then you see it.
[02:23:31] All right.
[02:23:32] So but here's the thing.
[02:23:33] This is how you know you have a
[02:23:35] how do I put it?
[02:23:36] Faith is the substance of things.
[02:23:38] Hope for the evidence of things not seen.
[02:23:40] So how do you know you have faith for something?

[02:23:44] If you got prayed for this morning
[02:23:46] and you felt the touch of God upon you,
[02:23:50] the witness of the Holy Spirit upon you.

[02:23:55] That's the Lord saying I am doing this in your life.

[02:24:22] And it was key in that woman's life.
[02:24:26] The Lord told me very strongly tell her
[02:24:28] to believe it, not to doubt,
[02:24:31] but to believe God touched me today.
[02:24:35] God delivered me today.
[02:24:37] The anointing of the Holy Spirit hit me today
[02:24:39] in Jesus name,
[02:24:40] and I believe it is done.

[02:24:45] when y'all were praying for me,
[02:24:46] I felt the witness of the Holy Spirit.

[02:25:05] of a new day for some folks, including me.
