[00:01:20] to set them free, the power of the Holy Ghost flowing through somebody
[00:01:24] God to set them free and God we just pray that you will help us be prepared God
[00:01:30] cleanse the vessels, vessels of honor ready Lord God for you to flow through
[00:01:35] and to work through to people around us Lord
[00:01:38] God so that we can deliver them from the power of Satan and bring them to the power of Jesus Christ
[00:01:44] so that we can see them set free from a path of destruction
[00:01:48] and from the path that leads to hell to the path that leads to heaven
[00:01:52] now so many right now in our world they're deceived by doctrines of men
[00:01:58] by seducing spirits of devils they're deceived, they've been lied to
[00:02:02] many think they're okay when they're not okay
[00:02:05] God anoint us to speak the truth in love
[00:02:08] to speak your truth in love
[00:02:15] Father we just thank you for your goodness
[00:02:17] that there is forgiveness with you but there must be repentance
[00:02:21] and Lord help us to preach the repentance of Jesus
[00:02:26] to preach that people must repent for the kingdom of heaven in the end

[00:03:03] Romans chapter 8, we're going to
[00:03:06] start back where we started last week
[00:03:08] Romans chapter 8, any
[00:03:10] Romans chapter 8, anybody need a Bible

[00:03:30] just so you know where we're going in the next few weeks as God leads
[00:03:33] I think I prayed
[00:03:36] last night and this morning and I felt like the Lord took a two part series
[00:03:39] and turned it into a three part series
[00:03:41] because I don't need to skip over this little part here
[00:03:44] because last week we talked about being led by the Spirit
[00:03:47] and what that means
[00:03:49] and started getting into about hearing
[00:03:51] the voice of God and being led by the Holy Spirit
[00:03:54] and we talked a little bit about that and we're going to talk more about that
[00:03:57] about being led by the Spirit today but
[00:03:59] some things that we need to know about the Holy Spirit
[00:04:02] or the Spirit of Jesus when he's leading us
[00:04:05] I mean just some fundamental things
[00:04:07] that we need to know
[00:04:10] but I just want you to know where we're going here
[00:04:13] we're not going to be
[00:04:15] a church that just is satisfied to sit
[00:04:19] in church services on Sunday morning
[00:04:21] there's a world out there that needs to hear the true gospel of Jesus Christ
[00:04:25] that hasn't been watered down or compromised
[00:04:28] that's not just for money
[00:04:30] that's not just for to promote self
[00:04:33] but to promote Jesus because people
[00:04:35] people are being lied to many by their own churches
[00:04:38] by entire denominations they're being lied to about things
[00:04:41] and we have got to stand up
[00:04:44] some people have got to stand up
[00:04:46] and be able be equipped to share the truth
[00:04:49] so in the next couple of weeks we're going to be
[00:04:52] talking about the gifts because we need to understand
[00:04:54] how to flow in the gifts
[00:04:56] and that the power of God or the gifts of the Spirit
[00:04:59] are also to help get people saved
[00:05:01] and for God to help to use those gifts
[00:05:04] when you're out when you're witnessing
[00:05:06] or sharing with your neighbors or something
[00:05:08] but we're also so we're going to
[00:05:11] we're going to do that we're going to complete that
[00:05:13] and then we're going to get into some
[00:05:15] some just write down evangelism training
[00:05:18] and then we're going to just do it on Sunday mornings
[00:05:20] for the next couple of weeks this summer
[00:05:22] I just want to tell you this summer
[00:05:24] we're going to get prepared as a church and a people
[00:05:26] to go out in the street and lead people to Jesus
[00:05:29] whether they come to our church or not
[00:05:31] that's not the point
[00:05:33] the point is Jesus had to go into all the world
[00:05:35] and preach the gospel to every creature
[00:05:37] and he didn't say a different gospel
[00:05:39] than what is preached in this Bible
[00:05:41] it's this one not a different one
[00:05:43] and we're going to learn how to preach it
[00:05:45] and how to share it and you know what
[00:05:47] there's a thing on YouTube you can look up
[00:05:50] how many of you know the comedy team
[00:05:52] Penn and Teller
[00:05:54] you all know about Penn and Teller
[00:05:56] you know that the big guy is Penn right
[00:05:58] am I right about that is that Penn

[00:06:02] anyway the big guy that does the talking
[00:06:04] the other one doesn't talk
[00:06:06] but the big guy is an atheist
[00:06:08] and there's I don't know how many of you have seen
[00:06:10] how many of you have seen the YouTube
[00:06:12] where he talks about the guy that brought him the Bible
[00:06:14] just okay so I'll go ahead and tell it
[00:06:16] but anyway he's an atheist
[00:06:18] and he is an outspoken well known
[00:06:20] atheist does not believe in God
[00:06:22] thinks Christians are stupid
[00:06:24] okay and he's very vocal about that
[00:06:26] and in their comedy routine and stuff
[00:06:28] they mock God they mock Christians
[00:06:30] they mock Jesus
[00:06:32] so I mean we're not talking about people that love Jesus
[00:06:34] but I want to tell you this move me
[00:06:36] you can you can watch this on YouTube
[00:06:37] but he talked about this man
[00:06:39] who came to Las Vegas to their show
[00:06:41] and walked up to him
[00:06:43] he said it was a very
[00:06:45] a very well spoken man
[00:06:47] very well dressed
[00:06:49] he said this man walked up and handed him a Bible
[00:06:52] and he said that
[00:06:54] after talking with this man for a few minutes
[00:06:56] and again I'm paraphrasing some of this
[00:06:58] but after talking to this man for a few minutes
[00:07:00] he knew that this was a good man
[00:07:02] and he said this
[00:07:04] he goes this Christian man was a good man
[00:07:06] he wasn't a wacko
[00:07:08] he wasn't a you know some crazy
[00:07:10] you know nut out there
[00:07:12] he said this wasn't an educated man
[00:07:14] this was a successful man in business
[00:07:16] he said this was a
[00:07:17] you could tell that this man was a good man
[00:07:19] and he said you know I really
[00:07:21] knew
[00:07:23] that this man
[00:07:25] cared about me and this is what he said
[00:07:27] now this is from an atheist
[00:07:29] he said you know
[00:07:31] that is what I call love
[00:07:33] he said because if Christians
[00:07:35] really believe
[00:07:37] that their way
[00:07:39] is the way of salvation
[00:07:40] it is the way to heaven
[00:07:42] it is the way to eternal life
[00:07:44] you know if they really believe that people
[00:07:46] who did not know Jesus as their savior
[00:07:48] were going to hell
[00:07:51] he goes how could these people not
[00:07:53] in love
[00:07:55] share the gospel with other people
[00:07:57] and he was moved
[00:07:59] by the sincerity
[00:08:01] and the genuineness of this man willing
[00:08:03] in a public place
[00:08:06] to walk up and I mean Las Vegas
[00:08:08] I've been there
[00:08:09] it is Sin City
[00:08:11] and not quite as bad
[00:08:13] it is almost as bad I think as New Orleans
[00:08:15] but they run a close race with each other
[00:08:17] but he said this man
[00:08:19] walked up and handed him a Bible
[00:08:21] and was willing to talk to him
[00:08:23] about his faith in Jesus Christ
[00:08:25] and he said a true Christian
[00:08:27] that is walking in love
[00:08:29] that loves his neighbor
[00:08:31] which share the gospel
[00:08:33] this is from an atheist y'all
[00:08:36] think about that for a minute
[00:08:38] they get it I thought when I heard that
[00:08:40] he understands better
[00:08:42] than most Christians
[00:08:44] who go to church every Sunday
[00:08:46] why do we let fear rule our lives
[00:08:48] why do we let the concerns
[00:08:51] of what somebody else might think
[00:08:53] rule what we do
[00:08:55] I don't understand that
[00:08:58] I'll say this about the
[00:09:00] spirit of fear the spirit of fear
[00:09:02] will either rule you
[00:09:04] it will overcome you or you will overcome it
[00:09:06] we have got to
[00:09:08] quit worrying about what people think and tell them the truth
[00:09:11] and that's something I got over a long time ago
[00:09:14] people call me outspoken
[00:09:16] or blunt or whatever
[00:09:18] but it's just you know why
[00:09:20] I understand that eternity
[00:09:22] is too long to be wrong
[00:09:24] and I just made up my mind a long time ago
[00:09:26] that I wanted to be a light
[00:09:28] and a witness for Jesus and speak the truth
[00:09:30] and that it didn't matter
[00:09:32] what people thought about me
[00:09:34] and it didn't matter if they were offended
[00:09:36] and it didn't matter even if they got mad at me at first
[00:09:38] that I knew if I told them the truth
[00:09:40] that the Holy Spirit could use it
[00:09:42] and hopefully bring them out of darkness and deception
[00:09:46] into the light of God
[00:09:48] and so see I would rather offend you now
[00:09:52] and you end up being convicted of sin
[00:09:54] and repenting and get right with God
[00:09:57] on the right path and go to heaven
[00:09:59] than to tell you sweet nothings
[00:10:01] make you feel good every Sunday
[00:10:03] and then you end up going to hell
[00:10:05] because you never got the truth
[00:10:07] of what repentance meant or what following Jesus meant
[00:10:09] and that's the way I feel
[00:10:11] not only of a church as being a pastor
[00:10:13] but as when I go I've been to Africa
[00:10:15] and preached to thousands
[00:10:17] and preached to seminary students
[00:10:19] that are about to graduate and go out and preach the gospel
[00:10:21] I preached the same way
[00:10:23] because I believe
[00:10:25] that we have a responsibility
[00:10:27] everybody that I've ever preached to
[00:10:29] everybody in this room
[00:10:31] right here has an appointment with death
[00:10:33] you have an appointment with the judgment seat of Christ
[00:10:37] you have an appointment to give an account
[00:10:39] you've done said in the body
[00:10:41] and you're not going to be judged
[00:10:43] according to what you think
[00:10:45] is right in your own eyes
[00:10:47] you're going to be judged according to what is written in this book
[00:10:50] and so everybody in this room
[00:10:52] is going to stand before that judgment seat
[00:10:54] and they're going to go to heaven
[00:10:56] or they're going to go to hell
[00:10:58] and I take that very seriously as a pastor
[00:11:01] and we have got to wake up
[00:11:03] we have got some very bad attitudes
[00:11:05] about what God demands
[00:11:07] about who goes to heaven
[00:11:09] no, we want to be soft
[00:11:12] but I want you to see this
[00:11:15] in talking about being led by the Spirit of God
[00:11:17] we're going to see something today
[00:11:19] the people that are led by the Spirit of God
[00:11:21] will care about souls
[00:11:23] will care about lost people and backsliders
[00:11:25] they'll care enough to
[00:11:27] pray for them and to speak the truth to them
[00:11:29] so that they might be saved
[00:11:31] from going to hell
[00:11:33] so they can go to heaven
[00:11:35] and that the power of the Holy Spirit
[00:11:37] or the gifts of the Spirit
[00:11:39] are not just for church on Sunday morning
[00:11:41] and they're not just to show off
[00:11:43] and healing and miracles and things
[00:11:45] those aren't to show off
[00:11:47] all of the power of the Holy Ghost
[00:11:49] he is after one thing
[00:11:51] and I'm going to show you
[00:11:53] he is out to get people saved
[00:11:55] and not saved so they can
[00:11:57] sin, saved from sin
[00:11:59] see we've not
[00:12:02] preached the Gospel when we've told people
[00:12:04] Jesus will forgive you but you don't have to change
[00:12:06] but the Gospel is
[00:12:09] Jesus will forgive you if you repent
[00:12:11] and give up the world
[00:12:13] give up the sin
[00:12:15] give him your whole life
[00:12:17] remember his name is not just Jesus
[00:12:19] it's Lord Jesus
[00:12:22] and your Lord is whoever you obey
[00:12:25] people got lackadaisical attitudes
[00:12:27] about sexual sin
[00:12:29] sexual sin will damn your soul
[00:12:31] to hell
[00:12:33] habitual sexual sin
[00:12:35] will damn your soul
[00:12:37] it is that simple
[00:12:39] God says we're going to look at it in a second
[00:12:42] homosexuality
[00:12:44] damn your soul
[00:12:47] hatred and unforgiveness
[00:12:49] damn your soul to hell
[00:12:51] jealousy and envy, bitterness and resentment
[00:12:53] that you let stay in you
[00:12:56] will damn your soul
[00:12:59] being a liar, being a thief
[00:13:01] see we think that God is overlooking fornication
[00:13:03] we think God is overlooking
[00:13:05] lying and stealing
[00:13:07] we think God is overlooking this stuff
[00:13:09] and the Bible says he doesn't overlook any of it
[00:13:11] to see this morning
[00:13:13] is that someone who is being led by the Spirit of God
[00:13:15] also has a different attitude
[00:13:17] towards sin
[00:13:19] the Holy Spirit comes to lead us into truth
[00:13:21] he comes to lead us into
[00:13:23] you know his name Holy Spirit
[00:13:25] he comes to lead us into holiness
[00:13:27] and purity
[00:13:29] he doesn't come to give us excuses
[00:13:31] why we live lukewarm
[00:13:33] or half hearted
[00:13:35] or why we do things that God says don't do
[00:13:37] the Holy Spirit
[00:13:39] if you're following him
[00:13:41] you will be getting more and more
[00:13:43] pure of heart and mind
[00:13:45] you will be getting
[00:13:47] more and more full of love
[00:13:49] for people around you
[00:13:51] that you want to see them saved
[00:13:53] going to heaven and not hell
[00:13:55] you will not worry about what people think anymore
[00:13:57] because you'll care
[00:14:00] more about their soul
[00:14:02] because you believe what God says
[00:14:04] but I want you to see this
[00:14:06] and we're going to back up
[00:14:08] a bit of what we covered last week
[00:14:10] but Romans chapter 8
[00:14:12] boy if you don't know Romans chapter 8
[00:14:14] you'll acquaint yourself
[00:14:16] with that entire chapter
[00:14:18] it might save your life
[00:14:20] pretty serious stuff
[00:14:22] but I want to back up for a second
[00:14:24] and focus in on being led by the Spirit
[00:14:26] the Holy Spirit leading us
[00:14:28] what's he trying to do
[00:14:30] when he's leading us
[00:14:32] let's look at this
[00:14:34] verse 14
[00:14:39] we're just going to read this verse
[00:14:41] then we're going to back up and look at some scriptures
[00:14:43] but it says for as many
[00:14:45] as are led by the Spirit of God
[00:14:47] they are the sons or daughters of God
[00:14:49] for as many as are led
[00:14:51] by the Spirit of God
[00:14:53] they are the sons and daughters of God
[00:14:55] now in this chapter he's been talking about
[00:14:57] here's what it means to be led
[00:14:59] you're either led by your flesh
[00:15:01] by your fleshly desires
[00:15:03] or you're led by the Holy Spirit
[00:15:05] which one are you following?
[00:15:07] now that's what this chapter is all about here
[00:15:09] and I find it interesting that in Romans 8
[00:15:11] and what we're going to look at in a minute
[00:15:13] Galatians 5 and Ephesians 5
[00:15:15] talks about being led by the Spirit
[00:15:17] but in all three of those chapters
[00:15:19] he talks about are you being led by the flesh
[00:15:21] and the lust of the flesh
[00:15:23] and the sinful desires of the world
[00:15:25] are you being led by the Spirit of God?
[00:15:27] the Christian, the son or daughter
[00:15:29] of God who's been born again
[00:15:31] and made Jesus Lord of their lives
[00:15:33] is going to be led by the Spirit of God
[00:15:35] not the flesh
[00:15:37] and if you're being led by the flesh
[00:15:40] and the fleshful desires
[00:15:42] and sins are dominating your life
[00:15:44] you are in trouble
[00:15:46] God is not overlooking it
[00:15:49] okay
[00:15:51] let's back up now he said
[00:15:53] but those he said
[00:15:56] for as many as are led by the Spirit of God
[00:15:58] are the sons of God and let's back up
[00:16:00] just to show you that he is talking about this
[00:16:02] go back up to verse
[00:16:04] 5
[00:16:06] for they that are after the flesh
[00:16:08] do mind the things of the flesh
[00:16:11] but they that are after the spirit
[00:16:13] the things of the spirit
[00:16:15] for to be carnally minded
[00:16:17] that's to be constantly after your own
[00:16:19] lust and desires
[00:16:21] for to be carnally minded is death
[00:16:23] that's both physical and spiritual death
[00:16:25] but to be spiritually minded
[00:16:27] is life and peace
[00:16:29] because the carnal mind is
[00:16:31] enmity against God
[00:16:33] for it is not subject to the law of God
[00:16:35] neither indeed can be so they that are in the flesh
[00:16:37] cannot please God
[00:16:39] now let's drop down to the verse
[00:16:41] right before the one we read
[00:16:43] verse 13
[00:16:45] for if you live after the flesh
[00:16:47] you will die
[00:16:49] and that's talking about spiritual death
[00:16:51] in the lake of fire
[00:16:53] but if through the spirit you do
[00:16:55] mortify the deeds of the body
[00:16:57] you will live
[00:16:59] now is that in there? Did everybody see that?
[00:17:01] and then he ends that with
[00:17:03] they are led by the spirit of God
[00:17:05] they are the sons and daughters of God
[00:17:07] so he goes through all this stuff
[00:17:10] are you dominated in your mind
[00:17:12] by your lust
[00:17:14] by your fleshly desires
[00:17:16] by your own ideas
[00:17:18] by idols and things that you have
[00:17:20] that are more important to you than following Jesus
[00:17:22] are you dominated by sexual lust
[00:17:24] are you dominated by
[00:17:26] pornography
[00:17:28] are you dominated by fornication
[00:17:30] are you dominated by anger
[00:17:32] what is your mind ruled by
[00:17:34] what do you do
[00:17:37] what do you practice
[00:17:39] see the people that are led by the spirit of God
[00:17:43] will get their mind on the things
[00:17:45] the spirit wants them on
[00:17:47] the people that are following the spirit of God
[00:17:50] will get their mind on the things that Jesus wants
[00:17:52] right
[00:17:54] isn't that simple
[00:17:56] aren't you glad God is simple
[00:18:00] pastors and churches out here confuse this
[00:18:02] right
[00:18:05] I mean the command in the garden of Eden
[00:18:07] don't eat of this tree
[00:18:09] you can eat all these other ones
[00:18:11] don't eat of this tree because if you eat this one
[00:18:13] you are going to die
[00:18:15] and of course he wasn't talking about just physically
[00:18:17] he was talking about spiritually be separated from God
[00:18:19] you are going to die
[00:18:21] that's pretty simple
[00:18:24] obey me and live forever
[00:18:26] disobey me and die
[00:18:28] guess what the basic command of God
[00:18:30] has never changed
[00:18:32] never and never will
[00:18:34] Satan hasn't changed either
[00:18:36] so he comes as an angel of light in the form of preachers
[00:18:39] in big churches and on TV saying
[00:18:42] like Satan in the garden
[00:18:44] you will not surely die
[00:18:46] if you disobey God brother
[00:18:48] it's a lie
[00:18:51] it's the same lie he's been telling
[00:18:53] for thousands of years
[00:18:55] but those who are led by the spirit of God
[00:18:58] guess what
[00:19:00] are going to overcome this thing
[00:19:02] now let's look and see what the Holy Spirit is really
[00:19:04] really doing
[00:19:06] we read this verse last week
[00:19:08] but we are going to bring out something a little different
[00:19:10] John 16
[00:19:13] y'all with me
[00:19:17] I'm going to tell you the Lord is on this
[00:19:19] I sense him here
[00:19:21] the Lord anoints his word
[00:19:24] he anoints truth that will save you
[00:19:27] amen
[00:19:30] somebody just give me a
[00:19:32] nod or a grin once in a while
[00:19:34] alright
[00:19:36] 16 let's talk about the Holy Spirit look at verse 13
[00:19:38] we are going to read this and read one more that goes with it
[00:19:43] how be it
[00:19:46] when he
[00:19:47] the spirit of truth is come
[00:19:49] he will guide you into all truth
[00:19:51] for he shall not speak of himself
[00:19:53] but whatsoever he is here
[00:19:55] that shall he speak and he will show you things to come
[00:19:57] he shall glorify me
[00:19:59] for he shall receive of mine
[00:20:01] and show it unto you
[00:20:03] so the Holy Spirit first of all he says
[00:20:05] he's going to come and do what leads you where
[00:20:09] into truth
[00:20:11] what is truth?
[00:20:13] there are no absolute truths
[00:20:16] but I want to tell you something for the
[00:20:18] Christian and really for the world
[00:20:20] some of them just don't want to accept it
[00:20:22] but there are absolute truths
[00:20:24] and when it comes to God and his demands
[00:20:26] and what he expects out of human beings
[00:20:28] it is absolute
[00:20:30] the 10 commandments were not the 10 suggestions
[00:20:35] he's not wavering on any of those things
[00:20:37] and I love people when I get out in the world
[00:20:39] witnessing and they talk about
[00:20:41] well that's your interpretation
[00:20:43] I said how do you have a different interpretation
[00:20:45] of thou shalt not commit adultery
[00:20:47] I mean how do you have a different
[00:20:52] interpretation of that
[00:20:54] I think that's pretty clear
[00:20:56] now if you were worried about the woman
[00:20:59] in Revelation who has the crown with 12 stars
[00:21:01] and the dragon and the man child
[00:21:03] that's about to be born
[00:21:05] you don't have to worry about all that symbolic language
[00:21:07] you can figure that out later
[00:21:09] but if you can do what's already plainly written
[00:21:11] you'll get the rest later on
[00:21:13] this is where we are
[00:21:15] so go back, back up a little bit
[00:21:17] chapter 16
[00:21:20] I want to read one we didn't read last week
[00:21:22] Jesus talking about the Holy Spirit
[00:21:24] and he actually said this
[00:21:26] and this is why I'm backing up a little bit
[00:21:28] about talking about the Holy Spirit leading us
[00:21:30] and speaking to us
[00:21:32] before Jesus said this that we just read that the Holy Spirit
[00:21:34] will lead us into truth and he will speak to us
[00:21:36] and he will show us things to come
[00:21:38] before he said that he said this
[00:21:40] about the Holy Spirit
[00:21:43] he says
[00:21:45] verse 7, nevertheless I tell you the truth
[00:21:48] it is expedient for you
[00:21:50] that I go away
[00:21:52] for if I go not away the Comforter will not come unto you
[00:21:54] but if I depart I will send him unto you
[00:21:56] and when he is come
[00:21:58] now listen to this he's talking about the Holy Spirit
[00:22:00] is the Comforter
[00:22:02] when he is come he will reprove or convict
[00:22:04] the world of sin
[00:22:06] and of righteousness
[00:22:08] and of judgment
[00:22:10] do you hear that?
[00:22:12] he says of sin because they believe not on me
[00:22:14] of righteousness because I go to my father
[00:22:16] you see me no more of judgment because
[00:22:18] the prince of this world is judged
[00:22:20] I want you to see this
[00:22:23] the Holy Spirit God said one of the things he's going to come
[00:22:25] he's going to come and convince
[00:22:27] the word there reprove it means
[00:22:29] to convince and the Greek it means

[00:22:35] you want to know if the Holy Spirit
[00:22:37] is speaking to you and leading you
[00:22:39] if there's a sin in your life
[00:22:41] that God has made clear in the Bible
[00:22:43] and you feel bad about this thing
[00:22:45] you feel a darkness
[00:22:47] or depression
[00:22:49] or somebody comes to you
[00:22:51] and says you know what you've got to deal with this thing
[00:22:53] I want to tell you that right there
[00:22:55] the Holy Spirit comes to convince
[00:22:57] you
[00:22:59] that certain behaviors
[00:23:01] are wrong
[00:23:04] and he says he comes to convince or convict
[00:23:06] the world of sin
[00:23:08] if it's the Holy Spirit he's going to be
[00:23:10] exposing sin
[00:23:12] you know if the Holy Spirit is speaking in a church
[00:23:14] does that church make you uncomfortable
[00:23:16] if you've got sin in your life
[00:23:18] if it doesn't
[00:23:21] the Holy Spirit is not there
[00:23:23] it's that simple
[00:23:25] because he has come to convince
[00:23:27] and I like to say this
[00:23:29] the world or the worldly
[00:23:31] of sin
[00:23:34] here's the thing
[00:23:38] of righteousness
[00:23:40] you know what that is?
[00:23:42] because there is no righteousness
[00:23:44] apart from the righteousness of Jesus Christ
[00:23:46] and your repentance
[00:23:48] and having the blood of Jesus wash
[00:23:50] your sin away
[00:23:52] so he wants to convince us first that we're sinners
[00:23:54] I tell people a lot of times you can't get somebody saved
[00:23:56] until they're convinced they're lost
[00:23:58] right?
[00:24:02] there's so many people that aren't even convinced they're going to hell
[00:24:04] and they're drunkards
[00:24:06] and they're fornicators
[00:24:08] and they're bound by all kinds of sins
[00:24:10] that God says you know what if you're doing these things
[00:24:12] you're not going to make it
[00:24:15] but they're not convinced
[00:24:18] they're not convinced
[00:24:20] so the Holy Spirit comes to convict of sin
[00:24:22] and to point you to the only way
[00:24:24] and that is repentance and the cleansing blood
[00:24:26] of Jesus to wash your sins away
[00:24:28] and then to convince you
[00:24:30] of judgment
[00:24:32] the Holy Spirit wants to
[00:24:34] convince you
[00:24:36] that there is a judgment day where God
[00:24:38] will judge everyone
[00:24:40] whether they are righteous or
[00:24:42] unrighteous, whether they are holy or
[00:24:44] unholy, whether they are clean or unclean
[00:24:46] right?
[00:24:48] some people are going to be surprised
[00:24:51] when he says depart from me
[00:24:53] you curse it into everlasting fire
[00:24:55] why are they going to be surprised?
[00:24:57] Lord we prophesied in your name
[00:24:59] and in your name we cast out devils
[00:25:01] we did many wonderful works
[00:25:03] we went to church, we were in the choir
[00:25:05] we were baptized in water
[00:25:07] but you practiced lawlessness
[00:25:09] you practiced sin and iniquity
[00:25:11] depart from me
[00:25:13] we always saved debate right here
[00:25:15] it's real simple
[00:25:17] you either are following Jesus and obeying Him
[00:25:19] or you're not, I don't care what you call yourself in between
[00:25:21] we could debate about it all day long
[00:25:25] but the Bible is very clear
[00:25:28] about where are you going to stand
[00:25:30] holiness, without holiness
[00:25:32] it says in Hebrews
[00:25:34] no man will see the Lord
[00:25:36] not worldliness
[00:25:39] not loving the world
[00:25:42] we've just lost
[00:25:44] the gospel, the true gospel
[00:25:46] call people out of the world
[00:25:48] call people to give up idolatry
[00:25:51] call people to give up fornication
[00:25:53] call people to give up witchcraft
[00:25:55] and occultism
[00:25:57] call people to give up these things
[00:25:59] turn from these things and follow Jesus

[00:26:09] so number one, if the Holy Spirit
[00:26:11] is leading you
[00:26:14] if you're a son or daughter of God

[00:26:25] why you don't have it together

[00:28:56] for the flesh lust against the spirit
[00:28:58] and the spirit against the flesh

[00:29:04] but if you are led of the spirit
[00:29:06] you are not under the law
[00:29:08] meaning if you're led by the spirit

[00:29:17] if you're led by the spirit and you're walking away

[00:34:59] we saw it, Galatians 5
[00:35:01] we saw that the Holy Spirit is trying

[00:41:39] to talk about being led by the spirit and he says
[00:41:41] for the fruit of the spirit, 9
[00:41:43] is all goodness and righteousness
[00:41:45] that you're proving what is acceptable
[00:41:47] to the Lord, oh God, proving what is
[00:41:49] acceptable to God, right
[00:41:51] have no fellowship
[00:41:53] with the unfruitful works of darkness
[00:41:55] but rather reprove them, for it is a shame
[00:41:57] even to speak of those things which are done to them in secret
[00:41:59] some of the stuff we shouldn't even talk about
[00:42:02] that's out there going on in the world
[00:42:04] but look what he says
[00:42:06] verse 14, skip down
[00:42:09] wherefore he saith, awake thou that sleepeth
[00:42:11] arise from the dead
[00:42:13] and Christ shall give you light
[00:42:15] see then that you walk circumspectly
[00:42:17] not his fools
[00:42:19] but his wise redeeming the time because
[00:42:21] the days are evil
[00:42:22] wherefore be not unwise
[00:42:24] but understanding what the will of the Lord is

[00:42:28] where is an excess, but be filled

[00:42:32] so again he talks about being filled with the spirit

[00:42:42] of the works of darkness in your life
[00:42:44] but rather be filled with the spirit
[00:42:46] then somebody that's filled with the spirit
[00:42:48] will be led by the spirit
[00:42:50] and let me tell you the good part
[00:42:52] is somebody that's filled with the spirit
[00:42:54] and led by the spirit, they will have the power
[00:42:56] of the Holy Spirit in their lives
[00:42:58] to help them walk the way they need to walk
[00:43:00] and to help bring others
[00:43:02] to Jesus Christ
[00:43:04] because the Holy Spirit
[00:43:07] listen, he wants to seek and save the lost
[00:43:09] turn to Acts chapter one

[00:44:37] for John truly baptized with water
[00:44:39] but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost
[00:44:41] not many days hence
[00:44:43] when they therefore were come together
[00:44:45] they asked him saying, Lord
[00:44:47] will you at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel
[00:44:49] and he said it is not for you to know
[00:44:51] the times of the seasons which the Father
[00:44:53] has put in his own power

[00:44:59] the Holy Ghost has come upon you

[00:45:07] he said the Holy Spirit, the power of the Holy Spirit

[00:45:23] and if you do, the fornicator might get saved

[00:45:57] the seeker friendly mentality
[00:45:59] of building a church, you know what
[00:46:01] God kind of gave me an idea, kind of a
[00:46:03] vision of that, you know what it is?
[00:46:05] It's kind of the guy who works out with
[00:46:07] weights natural versus
[00:46:09] the guy who uses steroids
[00:46:11] or drugs. One of them
[00:46:15] is going to grow and get bigger quicker
[00:46:19] but he's endangering
[00:46:21] his health, he's endangering his liver
[00:46:24] his kidneys
[00:46:28] and actually I'll tell you the truth
[00:46:30] he's not really as strong as the man who does it

[00:52:28] God I know the preacher said this morning
[00:52:32] that fornicators
[00:52:33] habitual fornicators would go to hell

[00:52:37] you don't believe God's word
[00:52:39] you don't believe the testimony of His Son
[00:52:41] you don't believe a document that's been proven

[00:56:28] if maybe somebody would have told her the truth

[00:56:32] or maybe walked up and laid hands on her

[00:56:36] and death out of her before she did it
[00:56:38] some people are so tormented by demons
[00:56:41] that they end up killing themselves

[00:57:56] that people in this church have been touched by
[00:57:58] over just the last few months
[00:58:02] and he said I'm angry I want to do something about this
[00:58:04] thank God somebody wants to do something
[00:58:07] we talked about even
[00:58:10] putting together a campaign
[00:58:12] put signs everywhere
[00:58:14] whatever we've got to do
[00:58:16] do something
[00:58:19] you get what I'm saying
[00:58:22] but you've got to be where you need to be
[00:58:25] to really help somebody else
