[00:00:00] You are the Everlasting Father, the Mighty God, the Prince of Peace, the Wonderful Counselor. [00:00:09] Lord, You are our everything. [00:00:12] We thank You for the blood You shed on the cross. [00:00:15] We thank You that You rose from the dead on the third day. [00:00:18] You conquered hell and death. [00:00:22] Lord, for those of us that would believe that would take up our cross and follow You, Lord, [00:00:28] through the blood of Jesus and the word of our testimony and loving not our lives unto death, [00:00:32] we can overcome Satan in this world and sin and this whole system that is antichrist. [00:00:40] Lord, we thank You today for all that You've done. [00:00:45] And it's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. [00:00:50] Hallelujah. You may be seated this morning. [00:00:52] We welcome everyone. [00:00:55] Fire and Grace Church. [00:00:57] Well, I had a couple of things I thought I was going to do. [00:01:02] I'm not going to do either one of those things this morning. [00:01:06] You know, as we were singing that last song there, [00:01:08] Running After You, Thirsty For You, Hungry For You, [00:01:12] I just thought about a verse that came to my mind. [00:01:16] And, brother, I want to tell you this verse, this passage is for you. [00:01:21] Because when the Lord spoke it to me over there and gave it to me over there, [00:01:27] He said, you just tell Saul that this is for him. [00:01:31] Let's everybody turn to Psalm 37 this morning. [00:01:37] Psalm 37. [00:01:45] So everybody had two messages, different messages planned this morning. [00:01:48] Didn't know which one. [00:01:49] This is the third that I didn't know about. [00:01:54] Let me get there myself. [00:01:55] I'm thinking before jumping ahead. [00:01:59] Psalm 37. [00:02:04] Everybody there? [00:02:10] And let's go to verses 23 and 24 this morning. [00:02:18] I want to tell you this morning that I'm glad that I live in the new covenant. [00:02:27] I'm glad that Jesus, when he came at that last supper, [00:02:32] that Passover meal, took that cup and said, [00:02:36] this is the New Testament in my blood, which is shed for many. [00:02:44] I'm glad that he took that bread and he said, [00:02:46] this is my body that is broken free. [00:02:50] I am grateful that we are not under the system anymore [00:02:55] of the blood of bulls and goats that were a shadow of things to come. [00:02:59] They were just to teach us, as Leviticus 17 says, [00:03:03] that the life of the flesh is in the blood. [00:03:05] The Lord said, I have given it to you upon the altar [00:03:07] to make an atonement for your souls. [00:03:10] All things are cleansed, all sin, all uncleanness. [00:03:16] It takes blood to cleanse it away. [00:03:20] And I'm thankful that the blood of bulls and goats [00:03:22] was only a shadow of things to come. [00:03:26] Because God, in eternity past, [00:03:31] decided that he would take on the form of human flesh [00:03:34] at a certain time in history so that he could live as us, [00:03:43] live a sinless life, and then willingly lay down his life [00:03:47] and shed his holy, spotless, sinless blood [00:03:52] to wash our sins away, to make a way that all sin [00:03:56] could not just be covered, but it could be washed away. [00:04:03] And I'm thankful today that because of this new covenant, [00:04:07] because of the blood of God, the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, [00:04:12] that I don't have to be perfect. [00:04:17] I don't have to be sinless. [00:04:22] Now, I should strive for it. [00:04:23] I should press toward that mark. [00:04:25] I should want to be because I want to be close to Him [00:04:29] and I want to please Him. [00:04:31] But I'm thankful today that even if I fall, [00:04:35] He's not ready to throw me aside. [00:04:38] And He knows the difference between someone falling [00:04:41] and someone going to live in sin. [00:04:46] He knows the difference between someone struggling [00:04:49] and someone playing games. [00:04:51] God is not deceived. [00:04:53] But I am grateful today for the blood of Jesus Christ. [00:04:58] I am grateful today as what Paul called in Romans, [00:05:01] the gift of righteousness that comes through His blood, [00:05:05] through faith in His blood, [00:05:07] that I don't have to go to a high priest, [00:05:09] a Levitical high priest and bring a bull or a goat or a lamb. [00:05:15] I'm grateful for that today. [00:05:18] I love the new covenant. [00:05:21] And I'm not going to try to mix it with the old [00:05:25] because it's new. [00:05:26] And Hebrews 8 says we have a better covenant [00:05:29] with better promises. [00:05:31] We have a new covenant [00:05:34] and it is through the shed blood of Jesus. [00:05:38] And it is by faith, not by the works of the law. [00:05:47] And people call this heresy now. [00:05:52] They want to go back and try to keep 613 Old Testament laws [00:05:56] they can't keep. [00:06:03] But I'm grateful today for the blood of Jesus. [00:06:07] Now I want to read this verse right here, [00:06:10] these two verses. [00:06:15] And remember, we may look at it in a minute, [00:06:17] but Revelation 12, 11 says we overcame Him. [00:06:22] We overcome Satan. [00:06:23] He's talking to me the verse before that old serpent, [00:06:25] the devil, Satan, the one that deceives the whole world. [00:06:27] Says we overcome Him by the blood of the lamb, [00:06:30] the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, [00:06:32] by the word of our testimony [00:06:34] because we love not our lives unto death. [00:06:35] We're willing to lay down our lives [00:06:38] for that truth and for that faith [00:06:39] and for that relationship with Him. [00:06:43] And we overcome Him. [00:06:45] I want to show you this right here. [00:06:46] This is absolutely one of my most favorite passages [00:06:50] right here, this verse in the south, this is for you. [00:06:53] Here's what it says. [00:06:57] Psalm 37, verse 23. [00:07:01] The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord [00:07:05] and He delighteth in His way. [00:07:08] Though He fall, He shall not be utterly cast down [00:07:11] for the Lord upholdeth Him with His hand. [00:07:16] I want you to understand that right there. [00:07:21] The steps of a good man are ordered of the Lord. [00:07:26] Now let me just tell you, [00:07:27] I looked this up in Hebrew yesterday [00:07:28] and when it says here the steps of a good man, [00:07:30] if you notice maybe in your King James [00:07:32] that the word good is in italics, [00:07:35] meaning it's not in the original text, [00:07:36] but they're just putting it in there [00:07:37] to try to help give some understanding, [00:07:40] some context, some description. [00:07:42] But when you look this word up, [00:07:44] it's not just man here. [00:07:46] It means valiant man. [00:07:48] It means warrior. [00:07:50] It means one who is gonna fight for the Lord, [00:07:54] the one that loves the Lord enough to be a warrior, [00:07:56] a soldier, a fighter who's gonna fight [00:07:59] to run after Him, to fight to stay true to Him, [00:08:03] to fight to stay with Him. [00:08:05] And guess what the good news of the gospel is? [00:08:08] The good news of our Creator is this, [00:08:11] is that if you love Him, [00:08:13] if you run after Him, [00:08:15] if you believe Him, [00:08:17] if you're willing to change your ways, [00:08:18] if you're willing to repent, [00:08:20] if you're willing to take up your cross and follow Him, [00:08:22] and you're running after Him, [00:08:24] even if you fall down, [00:08:26] even if you make a big mistake, [00:08:28] even if you blow it, [00:08:29] it doesn't mean it's over. [00:08:32] It doesn't mean it's over. [00:08:34] We serve a supernatural God, [00:08:36] a miracle God, [00:08:38] a God of mercy and compassion and patience. [00:08:42] And He knows if you love Him with all your heart [00:08:45] and if you're running after Him with all your heart. [00:08:48] And I wanna tell you, [00:08:48] there's nothing more that He will honor [00:08:51] and bless and forgive and help [00:08:53] the man or the woman that's a warrior, [00:08:55] that's valiant, [00:08:56] that's ready to run after Him. [00:09:03] Man, let me tell you, [00:09:06] the steps, [00:09:08] the steps of a warrior, [00:09:13] the steps of a valiant man or a woman [00:09:18] are ordered by the Lord. [00:09:20] Now listen to this part. [00:09:23] He delights in your way. [00:09:26] We don't think about that too often, do we? [00:09:30] That God delights over us. [00:09:35] He looks down just like we look down. [00:09:37] You know what? [00:09:38] Just a minute ago, [00:09:39] when you told your little baby, [00:09:41] she went over to touch the guitar over here, [00:09:45] and Sal told a little baby, no. [00:09:47] And she's little, how old is she? [00:09:50] One year or so, one year old. [00:09:53] He said, no. [00:09:54] And she took her hand back and turned around [00:09:55] and obeyed her dad. [00:09:59] And I thought, boy, that just delighted you, didn't it? [00:10:03] It delights you to see that. [00:10:05] Now I know she's not a perfect little child, is she? [00:10:08] But it delights you when you see that. [00:10:11] You see the little joy in her. [00:10:12] She didn't have a problem with that. [00:10:13] She didn't fuss, she didn't cry. [00:10:15] She went and ran back. [00:10:16] She ran over her dad smiling and laughing. [00:10:19] You see, God delights over us. [00:10:24] And he knows the difference between the people [00:10:27] who love him and are running after him, [00:10:31] and running after the truth. [00:10:35] And I'm talking about keeping things in context. [00:10:41] And he knows the difference between those kind of people [00:10:43] and the people that are trying to say, you know what? [00:10:47] Grace covers my sin, I can do what I want. [00:10:57] This shouldn't be hard to figure out. [00:10:59] And yet, we got constant insanity, [00:11:04] constant deception, constant, you know, [00:11:08] either the devil trying to tell us, you know what? [00:11:10] Even the devil trying to tell us. [00:11:12] And I'm talking to people right now, [00:11:13] I'm not talking to people playing games. [00:11:15] I'm talking to people that are serious [00:11:17] about walking in New Covenant, New Testament, [00:11:21] relationship with Jesus Christ. [00:11:25] You need to understand something. [00:11:28] God's not looking to banish you because you fall down. [00:11:32] He's not looking to punish you. [00:11:34] He's not looking to beat you up. [00:11:36] He's not looking, in fact, he knows [00:11:38] if you're running after him, he delights over you. [00:11:41] And even if you fall, he promises this. [00:11:44] Think about this, he will uphold you. [00:11:50] He says, though he falls, this valiant warrior Christian, [00:11:59] though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast out. [00:12:05] Ooh, somebody say that's good news, isn't it? [00:12:10] Let me tell you, I had somebody had the audacity to say [00:12:15] that Pastor Dean thinks he's God. [00:12:18] Really? [00:12:20] Somebody said that this week. [00:12:22] Isn't that hilarious? [00:12:23] I told my wife, I think I'm God, yeah right. [00:12:29] Let me tell you, I believe I'm a warrior for Jesus Christ. [00:12:33] I believe I'm a soldier for Jesus Christ. [00:12:35] I believe I've been in this battle a long time [00:12:37] and I have no intention on quitting, [00:12:41] slowing down, or stopping. [00:12:44] But I know one thing, I'm not God. [00:12:47] And I have fallen down many times on this journey. [00:12:55] I have fallen down, I have sinned, [00:12:57] I have made terrible mistakes, I have blown it. [00:13:03] But you know why I'm still here preaching? [00:13:07] Because of this right here. [00:13:10] I can't tell you how many times in prayer I've said, [00:13:13] Lord, I thank you that the steps of a good man [00:13:16] are ordered of the Lord. [00:13:18] And that though he fall, [00:13:21] he will not be utterly cast down. [00:13:24] Because you know what would happen when I'd fall? [00:13:28] I'd get back up and say, Jesus, [00:13:33] you said in John chapter one through your apostle John, [00:13:36] if we confess our sins, you are faithful and just [00:13:40] to forgive us of our sins [00:13:42] and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [00:13:46] You are faithful to not remember our sins and iniquities. [00:13:51] You are faithful because of what you did on the cross. [00:13:55] You are good and you are sinless and you are perfect [00:13:59] and you are holy. [00:14:00] And my faith is not in what I can do. [00:14:04] My faith is not in that I can do it perfectly all the time. [00:14:07] My faith is in the blood of Jesus. [00:14:10] So for those of you out there who say I'm Dean, [00:14:12] Pastor Dean thinks he's God, no, I don't. [00:14:14] My faith and the only thing that makes me righteous [00:14:17] and clean and holy and just is the blood of Jesus [00:14:21] and my faith in the blood of Jesus and his resurrection [00:14:24] and my willingness to when I sin and when I fall down [00:14:27] to say, God, please forgive me, please help me. [00:14:29] Help me, help me get up and keep walking and keep running. [00:14:41] I just laughed, I just blows my mind. [00:14:43] He thinks he's God, no, I don't. [00:14:54] The absolute insanity. [00:14:58] But of course, that's the, [00:15:00] that's Jezebel's talking out there, all right? [00:15:05] It's just amazing, you know? [00:15:09] Just amazing. [00:15:12] Faith in his blood. [00:15:15] That's such a good thing. [00:15:17] You know, I think we forget sometimes. [00:15:19] No matter how righteous as Christian, [00:15:22] and listen, I'm saying there is a New Testament standard [00:15:26] of righteousness that God wants us to walk. [00:15:29] But I can tell you this, we're never gonna walk you back. [00:15:35] Don't tell me you're never gonna say anything [00:15:36] that you shouldn't say. [00:15:38] Or you're never gonna think anything you shouldn't think. [00:15:40] Or you're never gonna do anything you shouldn't do. [00:15:43] Don't tell me, don't tell me. [00:15:44] I mean, there's some people out there that actually preach [00:15:46] that a Christian should never sin anymore. [00:15:48] They should, or that they never, [00:15:50] they can live in sinless perfection. [00:15:55] Now granted, in theory, that may be right. [00:15:58] I've heard people theorize that, [00:15:59] well, can you live without sin and thought, word, [00:16:01] or deed for one second? [00:16:03] Well, yeah. [00:16:04] Well, then if you could do it for one second, [00:16:06] then you could do it for five seconds. [00:16:07] And then if you could do it for five seconds, [00:16:08] you might make a whole minute. [00:16:11] So theoretically, yeah. [00:16:13] But guess what? [00:16:15] Our lives are lived in weeks and months and years. [00:16:20] Right. [00:16:24] My wife and I were discussing a certain individual, [00:16:26] a certain situation this morning. [00:16:29] And my wife has good discernment. [00:16:30] I'll have to say that. [00:16:33] And she asked, sometimes she says, [00:16:35] well, you know, I just got a bad feeling [00:16:36] about this particular situation. [00:16:40] And I said, well, one thing we know, [00:16:43] time will always expose you, right? [00:16:48] Might not get exposed this week or a month from now, [00:16:51] maybe two years from now, maybe three years from now, [00:16:54] but it'll happen. [00:16:57] That's why the Bible talks about not putting a novice [00:16:59] or one newly come to the faith [00:17:01] in a position of authority or leadership [00:17:03] where there needs to be time to tell, are they faithful? [00:17:08] Are they faithful to this walk, to this journey, [00:17:10] to the scriptures, to the truth? [00:17:13] Time will always tell. [00:17:19] That's why I laugh. [00:17:21] People come at me with all kind of crazy stuff. [00:17:25] And I'm like, you know what? [00:17:26] I don't care what they say. [00:17:28] Because you know what? [00:17:30] Anybody could go back in my past and find a sin [00:17:32] and find a mistake. [00:17:35] You got to go back in my past and find something? [00:17:37] Got news for you. [00:17:39] You're trying to dig up stuff [00:17:41] that the blood of Jesus has washed away. [00:17:45] So good luck with that, right? [00:17:50] I mean, recently, I've had everything thrown at me [00:17:52] from divorce and remarriage issue, [00:17:55] which I'm going to have to address biblically. [00:17:59] In fact, I might address some of that this morning. [00:18:02] About the university I'm affiliated and associated with [00:18:05] in Nigeria, that it's listed on the legal universities [00:18:10] in Nigeria, but most people don't understand [00:18:11] that Nigeria is run by Muslims and corrupt leaders. [00:18:18] It's funny if they're legal, why are they still going? [00:18:21] But I might address that in a minute. [00:18:25] But isn't it crazy? [00:18:26] And this is not, listen. [00:18:28] Some people say, oh, why are you whining? [00:18:30] No, I'm happy. [00:18:35] Paul made a defense. [00:18:36] He said, this is my answer to those who examined me. [00:18:38] Paul made a defense of his life, his ministry, [00:18:41] his salvation experience, what he preached, what he taught. [00:18:47] He always made a defense of those things. [00:18:51] He was, oh, don't defend yourself. [00:18:53] Well, you know what, I'm not. [00:18:55] I'm defending what God's done in my life. [00:19:00] Don't try to poo-poo on what God's done in my life. [00:19:02] I don't like your poo-poo. [00:19:04] Eat your poo-poo till you set, right? [00:19:09] But let me read something to you. [00:19:12] This is something awesome. [00:19:14] I won't share the guy's name, [00:19:17] because he's a new believer. [00:19:21] Let's see if I can find this real quick. [00:19:24] But this is the kind of stuff I rejoice in. [00:19:28] And he was messaging me this morning. [00:19:31] But I get this message this week, [00:19:33] on top of the crazies attacking me from every angle. [00:19:37] But here's why I keep getting up. [00:19:41] Number one, I love Jesus. [00:19:43] And I know he is the way and the truth and the life [00:19:46] and the only true God. [00:19:47] And I know he loves me. [00:19:48] And I know he gives me the strength [00:19:50] and the power over the devil. [00:19:52] And I know that no matter what happens one day, [00:19:54] I'm gonna be with him, right? [00:19:58] So this guy, Ken, that's all I'm gonna say. [00:19:59] He may be listening right now. [00:20:00] He's in Canada. [00:20:03] And this is what he said. [00:20:05] He said, your videos have brought me back to Jesus [00:20:09] and away from the lies of Eastern mysticism [00:20:14] and Eastern nonsense. [00:20:17] I said, that's wonderful to hear. [00:20:18] I praise the Lord Jesus for that. [00:20:19] I'd love to hear more about that. [00:20:22] So a little while later, he comes back and he says, [00:20:24] I practice Buddhism. [00:20:27] He said, but for some reason, [00:20:29] only when I would pray to Jesus, [00:20:30] I would feel that that was the truth. [00:20:33] So I was back and forth, confused. [00:20:36] So I came across flat earth and really wanted the truth. [00:20:40] I couldn't find the flat earth [00:20:42] and the true nature of creation [00:20:43] he's talking about here in Buddhism at all [00:20:46] in any of their teachings. [00:20:48] But I know the earth is flat. [00:20:49] So he came to this conclusion [00:20:51] about the true nature of our creation. [00:20:55] And he said, he'd really been searching. [00:20:57] He said, then I found your videos out of nowhere [00:20:59] with the Bible verses on flat earth [00:21:00] started to understand biblical scripture. [00:21:03] Then I came across your videos on Buddhism, [00:21:06] Eastern mysticism. [00:21:09] And he said, I just had to search you on Facebook. [00:21:13] He said, the serpent power, the Kundalini thing [00:21:16] and how it teaches we all can become gods. [00:21:19] He said, I practiced that for a period. [00:21:24] And he said, then I thought about it. [00:21:26] He says, because if you think about it, [00:21:28] Hollywood's pushing this Buddhism [00:21:29] and this occult teaching a very strong way. [00:21:32] So it's making all sense to me now. [00:21:34] The Kings of this world are master deceivers. [00:21:38] And I just know it's not true. [00:21:40] Something was always missing. [00:21:43] He says, all their stuff is just supernatural hocus pocus. [00:21:47] He said, they've done a good job infiltrating [00:21:49] the whole world with their cult. [00:21:52] He said, they really had me for years, [00:21:55] but not anymore, not anymore. [00:22:02] You see the truth of God's word, [00:22:05] the truth of the cross of Jesus Christ, [00:22:09] of the new covenant, power, gospel, [00:22:15] sets people free. [00:22:19] And you know what? [00:22:20] I get these quite often. [00:22:23] I get these testimony. [00:22:27] So you know what? [00:22:29] Let them just keep writing them out. [00:22:32] Because the day's coming, [00:22:33] we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ [00:22:35] to give an account of the things that we have done [00:22:38] in this body and in this life. [00:22:40] And we will give an account of them, [00:22:42] whether they be good or bad. [00:22:46] I will stand there. [00:22:48] You will stand there. [00:22:50] You will stand there. [00:22:52] Everyone will stand there all day. [00:22:57] And the Lord's just gonna look, [00:22:58] did you love me with all your heart? [00:23:05] Did you live a life of faith running after me? [00:23:11] And I love that. [00:23:12] Remember Matthew 5 where Jesus said, [00:23:13] blessed are they that do hunger [00:23:15] and thirst for righteousness. [00:23:17] They will be filled. [00:23:19] Well, guess what? [00:23:20] That doesn't mean running back [00:23:21] to try to keep the feast and the Sabbath [00:23:23] and the circumcision and the dietary laws [00:23:25] and the old covenant. [00:23:26] It means running after the new. [00:23:31] It means running after intimacy and relationship [00:23:35] with the Lord Jesus Christ, [00:23:37] who died on the cross and rose from the death. [00:23:40] It's about spending time with Him. [00:23:42] It's about worshiping Him. [00:23:44] It's about learning to hear His voice. [00:23:46] It's about letting His Holy Spirit lead you [00:23:48] and guide you into all truth and teach you. [00:23:52] It's about freedom. [00:23:53] It's about peace. [00:23:55] It's about joy. [00:23:57] It's about healing you of spiritual [00:23:59] and emotional wounds and hurts. [00:24:02] It's about healing the brokenhearted. [00:24:10] People wanna call me. [00:24:11] People wanna call me a false teacher. [00:24:16] And all I do is talk about Jesus is the way, [00:24:21] the Jesus of the Bible, [00:24:23] the Jesus of this new Testament, [00:24:25] the Jesus that was foretold by the prophets [00:24:28] and the old covenant, [00:24:30] the Jesus who is God in the flesh, [00:24:32] the only one worthy, [00:24:34] not Barry, not Buddha, not Krishna, [00:24:37] not Allah, not Muhammad, [00:24:40] but Jesus Christ of Nazareth. [00:24:45] I don't say Pastor Dean is the way. [00:24:47] I don't say Fire and Grace Church is the way. [00:24:52] No, Jesus is the way. [00:24:55] He's the only one that can wash your sins away. [00:24:57] He's the only one that can drive [00:24:58] the demons out of your life. [00:25:00] It is His name, His blood, His resurrection, [00:25:03] His kingdom, His creation. [00:25:06] It's all His. [00:25:12] I'm just glad to be in it. [00:25:15] Amen. [00:25:16] I'm happy. [00:25:18] I'm happy this morning. [00:25:19] I'm telling you, I'm happy to be in Jesus Christ [00:25:23] through faith in His blood. [00:25:27] That's that simple gospel, remember? [00:25:29] We like so much. [00:25:30] Just the simple gospel. [00:25:32] You know, we were singing this morning, [00:25:34] those songs, and of course, [00:25:35] those of you that joined us around 11, [00:25:37] you probably just heard the end of one. [00:25:39] But we're worshiping the Lord this morning, [00:25:41] and I'm just thinking how wonderful it is [00:25:44] to know Jesus, to really know Him, [00:25:47] to truly be born again. [00:25:50] Listen, no one can talk me out of it. [00:25:53] No one. [00:26:02] If you can be talked out of it, [00:26:03] then you don't have it. [00:26:06] You hear me? [00:26:10] Because I'm gonna tell you something. [00:26:12] What is it? [00:26:12] Romans 14 says this. [00:26:14] The kingdom of God is not meat and drink, [00:26:17] but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. [00:26:23] Not righteousness from striving after the law. [00:26:26] It's not the righteousness of the law. [00:26:28] It is the righteousness by faith in Christ Jesus. [00:26:31] And I got a message coming, Torah terrorist. [00:26:34] I got one coming for you. [00:26:40] Almost did it today. [00:26:41] I already got 50 slides, but I'm not done yet. [00:26:54] The kingdom of God is not meat and drink, [00:26:55] but righteousness, peace, and joy. [00:27:00] I don't know, if you get down on your knees, [00:27:01] I'm gonna tell you something. [00:27:02] If you get down on your knees, [00:27:04] and you're like, I thank you God, [00:27:06] I keep the Sabbath, I thank you God, [00:27:09] I'm not like these other Sunday Christians. [00:27:14] Go to church on Sunday, God forbid. [00:27:17] I'm so glad, I'm not like that. [00:27:24] Your righteousness is in exactly that. [00:27:29] You know what I say? [00:27:32] I say, I thank you Lord, that my righteousness [00:27:36] is in what you have done, not what I have done. [00:27:46] Isn't that good? [00:27:47] See, that's rest right there. [00:27:50] And I say it all the time when I'm in prayer. [00:27:52] You know what I say? [00:27:53] I say it in prayer all the time. [00:27:54] I say, Lord, God, thank you for shedding your blood for me. [00:28:01] I don't look to my ability to keep it way perfect. [00:28:06] I thank you Lord, I thank you, [00:28:10] that it's only your blood that makes me work. [00:28:16] It's only the blood. [00:28:22] We got some of these torteres, [00:28:23] I'm gonna cover this in the week ahead, [00:28:24] but some of these torteres, they're calling Paul [00:28:27] a false apostle and a false teacher [00:28:32] because they cannot grasp the realities of the New Covenant. [00:28:39] Because they've been duped by slick little deceivers [00:28:43] and they're thinking, I've got to make myself righteous [00:28:47] by keeping the law. [00:28:56] Well, they got answers for it all, man, I'll tell you. [00:29:00] They got their own, they got their own, [00:29:03] they got their own New Covenant. [00:29:10] So I could spend this whole morning, [00:29:13] but let's go to a verse, let's go to the book of Romans [00:29:18] that they hate, of course, they hate Paul. [00:29:23] But you know what? [00:29:25] They wanna hate on it, they can hate on it. [00:29:28] It's still for us, right? [00:29:32] Just because they hate it doesn't mean it's not for us. [00:29:44] Let's go to Romans chapter five. [00:29:46] I'm gonna take this, where's my water? [00:29:50] Let me read a little bit. [00:29:53] And you know, you start preaching like this, [00:29:55] oh, he's a anti-nominee, he's one of the Nicolations. [00:30:02] I actually found out recently, [00:30:04] there's a bunch of Torah people [00:30:07] that believe that unless you're into the Torah observance, [00:30:13] if you're into that, [00:30:14] then you're the five wise virgins [00:30:17] in the parable that Jesus gave. [00:30:19] And the rest of us poor Sunday Christians [00:30:21] are the foolish virgins that are gonna be left out. [00:30:24] But then they'll say, same people will say [00:30:26] it's not a salvation issue. [00:30:29] Double-talking, four-toned little serpents. [00:30:36] I don't care, I'll call you what you are. [00:30:38] Let's read this from verse one, Romans five. [00:30:43] I love this. [00:30:45] Therefore being justified, [00:30:47] that means made righteous, clean by faith, [00:30:50] we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, [00:30:54] by whom also we have access by faith into this grace, [00:30:58] wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. [00:31:02] And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also, [00:31:06] knowing that tribulation worketh patience [00:31:09] and patience experience and experience hope. [00:31:12] And hope maketh not a shame [00:31:13] because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts [00:31:15] by the Holy Ghost which is given to us. [00:31:18] For when we were yet without strength in due time, [00:31:21] Christ died for the ungodly. [00:31:23] For scarcely for a righteous man will one die, [00:31:26] yet per venture for a good man some would even dare to die. [00:31:30] But God commended his love toward us [00:31:32] in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. [00:31:35] Look at verse nine. [00:31:36] Much more than being now justified by his blood, [00:31:40] we shall be saved from wrath through him. [00:31:44] For if when we were enemies, [00:31:45] we were reconciled to God by the death of his son, [00:31:47] much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. [00:31:52] And not only so, but we also joy in God [00:31:55] through our Lord Jesus Christ, [00:31:57] by whom we have now received the atonement. [00:32:00] Do you notice how many times he says, rejoice? [00:32:04] How many times he says, have joy. [00:32:06] We rejoice and we have joy that we have been justified. [00:32:11] We have been made righteous. [00:32:13] We have been made righteous and have access to God [00:32:18] through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross, [00:32:22] through his righteousness, his righteousness. [00:32:27] Love these people, they wanna keep talking about the law, [00:32:30] but do they hear the law? [00:32:32] Tell me, as Paul said in Galatians, [00:32:34] tell me you who desire to be under the law, [00:32:36] do you not hear the law? [00:32:38] Isaiah said, Isaiah, what is it? [00:32:41] 64, 65, 66, one of those chapters, [00:32:44] he said, our righteousness is as filthy rags. [00:32:49] Paul said in the book of Romans 10, he said, [00:32:52] the Jews are going about to establish [00:32:54] their own righteousness according to the law [00:32:56] and have not submitted themselves to the righteousness [00:32:59] of God for Christ is the end of the law for righteousness. [00:33:04] He fulfilled it. [00:33:05] He did what none of us could do. [00:33:08] He did what none of the prophets, [00:33:10] none of the old covenant people, nobody. [00:33:13] He did what no one could do. [00:33:17] He came and lived it out. [00:33:18] He fulfilled it, completed it perfectly, [00:33:22] has been fully God and fully man. [00:33:29] Then he willingly took the penalty of sin, [00:33:32] even though he had not sinned [00:33:34] so that we could have righteousness in him. [00:33:38] And how do we have that? [00:33:39] We believe that he died for us. [00:33:42] We believe that. [00:33:44] We believe that God shed his righteous, [00:33:47] holy sinless blood for us [00:33:53] and that there is nothing good that we can do to get it. [00:33:59] We simply must believe and confess with our mouths. [00:34:02] And yes, we must be willing to repent and follow him. [00:34:06] But that is not what makes us righteous. [00:34:13] Amen. [00:34:19] Faith in his blood makes us right. [00:34:24] Walking with him in new covenant, [00:34:28] truth and context and reality keeps us in relationship. [00:34:38] You hear what I'm saying? [00:34:42] The holiest one of us in here is going to sin again. [00:34:46] I mean, the apostle Paul in Romans seven says, [00:34:51] as a spirit-filled believer, he says, [00:34:54] things I wanna do, I don't, [00:34:57] things I don't wanna do, I do. [00:34:59] Even though I want to do what God's word says, perfect. [00:35:03] I wanna do, I delight him, [00:35:07] but I don't know what you're doing. [00:35:09] Think about that. [00:35:10] The people that are born again like the apostle Paul [00:35:13] that want to do it all right, [00:35:16] that try hard, that are running after God, [00:35:19] that are being warriors still fall down. [00:35:27] Still blowing, still sinning. [00:35:35] Tell me it's not good news to know. [00:35:38] It's not over at that moment. [00:35:45] Tell me it's not good news to be able to get up and say, [00:35:49] I sinned, I blew it, I fell down. [00:35:55] Forgive me, Lord, wash me, Lord. [00:35:57] My faith is in your blood to cleanse me and wash it away. [00:36:03] I'm gonna try to do better, but I might not do better. [00:36:09] You know what? [00:36:10] We're messed up. [00:36:13] As my wife says, all of us, we have issues. [00:36:19] Well, you're supposed to be full of the Holy Ghost. [00:36:22] Yes, you're gonna be full of the Holy Ghost, [00:36:25] but guess what? [00:36:26] We leap. [00:36:33] That's why I gotta keep running back to him. [00:36:35] Fill me up, Lord. [00:36:36] Fill me, Jesus, with your spirit again. [00:36:38] Help me again. [00:36:40] Help me do better. [00:36:41] Change me. [00:36:44] Well, you stop doing that and you're in trouble. [00:36:49] Change me, Lord. [00:36:51] Is that one of your prayers? [00:36:53] You're gonna remember the Evangelist, [00:36:54] Steve Hilda Brownsville Revival. [00:36:56] I loved his simple. [00:36:56] He used to get people to pray right before he'd preach [00:36:58] all the time. [00:36:59] He'd say, pray this with me, everybody. [00:37:00] He said, simple prayer. [00:37:02] Lord, speak to my heart. [00:37:04] Change my life. [00:37:06] In Jesus' name, amen. [00:37:09] Speak to my heart, Lord, and change my life. [00:37:18] Not turn me into a Jew. [00:37:28] Trying to wear the little tassels [00:37:29] and the little shawls and the little heads. [00:37:37] You know, I'm quite happy being a Gentile. [00:37:39] I'm okay with that. [00:37:45] I had a plan for the Gentiles, didn't I? [00:37:48] And you know, it's amazing. [00:37:49] There's all this, but I see all this crazy stuff. [00:37:53] I get the emails and the comments and YouTube and Facebook, [00:37:57] and I see all this stuff people talking about. [00:37:58] Who are the true Israelites and who's this [00:38:00] and who's that? [00:38:01] And I read in the scripture, [00:38:02] said, don't be, don't, don't consume yourself [00:38:04] with Jewish fables and genealogies. [00:38:09] We don't know who the 10 lost tribes are. [00:38:11] People trying to say, we're the United States and Europe, [00:38:14] they're Manasseh and Ephraim. [00:38:15] I don't know, but what difference does it make? [00:38:19] I'm not supposed, according to the New Covenant, [00:38:21] I'm not even supposed to be worried about all that. [00:38:24] Because you know what happens [00:38:25] when you start worrying about all that? [00:38:26] And doesn't it become a race issue then? [00:38:32] Well, I'm of this tribe and I'm of that tribe. [00:38:34] I mean, I said, we're the real Hebrews, [00:38:36] and you're, I got called this last week [00:38:38] after my sermon last week. [00:38:40] I got called an Esau devil. [00:38:45] Eat a Mike devil. [00:38:47] The Senate of Esau, I'm an eat a Mike devil. [00:38:53] It's crazy. [00:38:54] But I'm sitting here going, what does any of that matter? [00:39:00] I don't care if I have true Jewish Hebrew blood and man. [00:39:05] I don't care. [00:39:06] I don't care. [00:39:07] I mean, look, y'all, I know for a fact, [00:39:10] I know I'm part Cherokee Indian and I'm part Englishman. [00:39:14] Whoop-de-dah, right? [00:39:18] What does it matter? [00:39:19] Why do we get so hung up? [00:39:22] If we're white, brown, black, yellow, purple, [00:39:27] what is it? [00:39:28] All that, does it matter? [00:39:29] No, does it matter to God? [00:39:30] No. [00:39:33] You know what the Bible says in the book of Acts? [00:39:35] He made all men of one blood. [00:39:40] We all bleed red, don't we? [00:39:45] We all have an appointment with death. [00:39:50] And there's only one man. [00:39:52] And let me just tell you, Jesus is not black. [00:39:57] Jesus is not white. [00:39:59] He's somewhere in the middle. [00:40:00] He's brown. [00:40:07] I'm gonna tell you, some of this crazy, [00:40:08] I mean, I get some crazy. [00:40:10] I mean, just crazy. [00:40:16] And none of that matters. [00:40:17] In Christ Jesus, what? [00:40:19] You need a male and a female? [00:40:22] You need a bond, no free, no Jew, no Greek. [00:40:28] You're all one in Christ Jesus. [00:40:36] I love it, this room, we got, [00:40:37] we have a small crowd this morning, [00:40:39] but we pretty much got the whole color spectrum, don't we? [00:40:46] And that's the way it should be. [00:40:50] There's one human race, [00:40:53] and there's only one that came [00:40:55] to die for the sins of that human race. [00:41:00] And he's the one that said, [00:41:01] I am the way, the truth, and the life, [00:41:05] and know me comes to the Father, [00:41:07] to the Creator, to God. [00:41:08] There's no access to God but through me. [00:41:12] John 14, six, that's Jesus' work. [00:41:18] No other way. [00:41:21] So here what I'm saying. [00:41:24] The gospel is simply this. [00:41:26] I love this. [00:41:27] In fact, I can hear it in my head right now. [00:41:29] I'm gonna quote the late Keith Green. [00:41:32] For those of you who don't know, [00:41:33] Keith Green is, he was a new-ager. [00:41:38] Well, he was born Jew, [00:41:43] was a child prodigy on the piano, [00:41:47] wrote songs and did music for CBS Records [00:41:50] when he was like 11 years old. [00:41:54] In the hippie movement in the 60s and 70s, [00:41:57] he got into all kind of Buddhism and Hinduism [00:42:00] and Eastern mysticism. [00:42:01] And then finally, he tried all that stuff. [00:42:06] The drugs and the hippie movement. [00:42:08] And he finally came and found Jesus was the one [00:42:13] who set him free. [00:42:15] And the Lord revealed himself. [00:42:16] Keith Green, I remember his music. [00:42:21] He had a powerful ministry worldwide [00:42:26] for about seven or eight years [00:42:27] before he died in plane crash. [00:42:30] But I believe the Jesuits tampered with his plane [00:42:34] is why it went down. [00:42:36] That's another story. [00:42:39] But he used to say this. [00:42:39] I remember at the end of his concerts, [00:42:45] in fact, give me a favor [00:42:47] and see if you can find Keith Green's altar call, Tom. [00:42:50] We're gonna play that at the end if you can find it. [00:42:53] But he used to say this. [00:42:54] He said, the gospel is simply this. [00:42:58] I mean, he had preached the crowds 40 and 50,000 [00:43:00] young people in a field. [00:43:04] And he'd say, the gospel is simply this. [00:43:07] Jesus will forgive all your sins. [00:43:10] If you come to him humbly, [00:43:11] bow down at his feet and say, you're the Lord, [00:43:15] and I'll surrender the rest of my life to you [00:43:19] to spend eternity with you forever. [00:43:25] See, it's about, will I lay down my life? [00:43:30] Because he did. [00:43:33] See, that's what I'm talking about. [00:43:35] When you meet him, when you truly encounter Jesus [00:43:39] and you have the full revelation [00:43:42] of what he's done for you, [00:43:46] you want to give him your life. [00:43:50] You're willing to make the great exchange. [00:43:54] You can use me however you want here [00:43:56] because I know I'm gonna be with you forever. [00:43:58] So let's just do this thing, Lord. [00:44:01] Do with me, do through me what you wanna do. [00:44:06] You know why I'm here today? [00:44:07] Why I'm still preaching after 31 years [00:44:09] after going through hell and high water [00:44:11] and demons and devils and all kinds of problems [00:44:14] and you wouldn't believe. [00:44:17] You know why I'm still here? [00:44:18] Because a long time ago, I said, [00:44:20] Lord, I give you my life. [00:44:22] No longer what I will, I want what you wanna do through me [00:44:26] because I know, Lord, if you work through me, [00:44:28] you will help somebody through me find you. [00:44:31] And that's what all I want. [00:44:35] I want you to use me to help people find you. [00:44:44] And that's why I'm here, still here. [00:44:47] That's why I'm still doing this, listen. [00:44:48] I could be laying on my couch watching football on Sundays. [00:44:58] I could be sleeping till noon on Sundays. [00:45:02] I could not stay up till one in the morning [00:45:04] studying and get up at six o'clock and start over. [00:45:09] Well, I want the Lord to use me. [00:45:12] And that's the way all of us should be. [00:45:13] Lord, I give you my life. [00:45:16] I'm willing to be a living sacrifice. [00:45:24] No more what I want, what you want. [00:45:26] That's where you find joy and peace and purpose. [00:45:32] You don't need Rick Warren's purpose-driven life. [00:45:34] You just need to surrender to Jesus. [00:45:40] See, the problem is we got a lot of Christians [00:45:41] or people who call themselves Christians [00:45:43] who've never truly surrendered at all. [00:45:46] Remember the old hymn, I surrender all. [00:45:52] I want y'all to hear this, you got it? [00:45:57] Let's stand, this will be our closing song this morning. [00:46:02] This is how he would end his concerts. [00:46:04] And for those of you out there watching and listening, [00:46:06] you better put up the fair yeast thing, real quick. [00:46:10] But for those of you out there watching and listening, [00:46:12] if you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, [00:46:18] it's not complicated. [00:46:22] If you will believe that he is God in the flesh [00:46:26] who died for your sins on the cross, [00:46:29] born of a virgin, lived a sinless lie, [00:46:32] died on the cross for your sins, [00:46:34] rose from the dead on the third day. [00:46:36] If you'll believe that and confess your sins, [00:46:39] how many say, Lord, forgive me for what I've done, [00:46:41] forgive the times I've hurt you, [00:46:44] I've sinned against you, I've sinned against others, [00:46:46] forgive me and wash it away. [00:46:49] He is faithful and just to forgive you and wash it away. [00:46:53] Not because you've been righteous enough, [00:46:55] not because you've been good enough, [00:46:56] but because he loves you. [00:46:59] And as all he's ever wanted is for you to humble yourself [00:47:03] and say, forgive me and help me. [00:47:05] And Lord, I surrender my life to you [00:47:07] and I will give you everything. [00:47:08] I will follow you. [00:47:10] Amen. [00:47:11] Probably today as we come before you, Lord, [00:47:14] we pray in the name of Jesus [00:47:15] that the people that will see this today [00:47:19] that are watching, listening, or who will, [00:47:22] that they'll come to you, [00:47:24] that they'll believe what you've done for them, Jesus. [00:47:29] They'll call out to you. [00:47:31] They'll surrender to you. [00:47:34] And they'll be saved, born again, washed, cleansed, [00:47:39] and find the joy and the peace [00:47:41] and the salvation and the hope [00:47:44] that you paid for, Lord, on the cross. [00:47:49] I pray that for everyone watching and listening today. [00:47:53] And it's in Jesus' name we pray. [00:47:55] Amen.
