[00:00:00] Hallelujah, we worship you, Jesus. [00:00:04] We worship you, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, [00:00:07] God Almighty in the flesh. [00:00:11] We worship you, we give you the praise. [00:00:14] It is your blood that is sinless and holy [00:00:18] and eternal and powerful. [00:00:20] It is your blood that cleanses us from sin [00:00:23] when we confess our sins and turn from them. [00:00:26] It is your blood that can bring healing, [00:00:28] deliverance, power against all the power of Satan. [00:00:32] We thank you that we overcome Satan [00:00:34] by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ, [00:00:37] by the word of our testimony, [00:00:39] because we love Him on our lives even unto the death. [00:00:43] I am just grateful today, Lord. [00:00:46] I'm grateful today for the new covenant. [00:00:49] We praise you for it today in Jesus' name. [00:00:53] Amen, amen. [00:00:54] You may be seated this morning. [00:00:56] We welcome everyone to Fire and Grace Church. [00:01:00] I'm Pastor Dean Odle. [00:01:02] We welcome those of you watching and listening [00:01:05] by YouTube, Facebook, Blog Talk Radio, our websites. [00:01:11] Lot going on today, a lot going on out here in the world. [00:01:16] This is actually today, we're gonna get into [00:01:19] a message that I prepared a few weeks ago. [00:01:23] But I always see God on the time [00:01:24] and I study things out and prepare things sometimes [00:01:27] and the Lord says, wait, or I want you to do [00:01:31] a different thing before that. [00:01:32] And so I've had this kind of sitting on the shelf [00:01:36] for a few weeks, but again, [00:01:39] we're gonna address today the Torah observance stuff, [00:01:43] the law, what is required of Christians [00:01:46] because it continues to be an issue. [00:01:49] It continues to be a questions [00:01:52] and not just a questions, but a tax. [00:01:56] It just continues to be really a divisive topic [00:02:01] among Christians today. [00:02:03] And some of it's getting really mean. [00:02:06] And so also I want to address [00:02:10] because it's been brought to my attention [00:02:13] through various sources that there are a lot of [00:02:17] Torah people, I say Torah observing people [00:02:20] out there who think that I, Pastor Dean [00:02:23] and Fire and Grace Church that we hate Torah people, [00:02:26] that we hate people who want to try to keep the Sabbath [00:02:29] or try to go back to the law and all that [00:02:35] and do what they feel their conscience is telling them [00:02:38] or they feel they should do. [00:02:40] It has nothing to do with that. [00:02:41] I don't hate Torah people, even though [00:02:44] I have brought some strong rebuke, [00:02:47] some strong corrections because there are some [00:02:50] extremes and some error in that movement. [00:02:54] But I have also, listen, I've written two books, [00:02:58] published two books. [00:03:00] One is entitled Grace Abuse that is a complete [00:03:03] rebuke and correction of the error of Calvinism. [00:03:08] And then in two, that was in 1997, 98, [00:03:11] then in 2010, 11, I wrote the book, [00:03:16] The Polluted Church from Rome to Kansas City [00:03:18] where I addressed the errors that had crept into [00:03:21] the Pentecostal and Charismatic Church [00:03:23] from counterfeit supernatural to contemplative mysticism. [00:03:28] I've confronted the errors in that book [00:03:30] of Roman Catholicism. [00:03:32] So again, what I'm saying here is I'm not trying [00:03:34] to pick on any particular group about anything. [00:03:37] I think every segment of Christianity, [00:03:40] I don't care what I'm saying, [00:03:41] every segment of Protestant Christianity [00:03:44] has its different errors that it clings to [00:03:46] or its doctrines of men or traditions of men. [00:03:49] And the Torah movement, the Torah observance movement [00:03:53] has, is no exception to that. [00:03:56] That it has some very serious errors [00:04:00] and some very serious dangers involved in it. [00:04:02] But so again, there are many independent, [00:04:05] non-denominational, Charismatic, Pentecostal churches. [00:04:09] Even though I'm Pentecostal, Charismatic, [00:04:12] I would not send you to because they're dangerous, okay? [00:04:16] There's a lot of Baptist churches I wouldn't send you to. [00:04:19] There's a lot of mega churches I wouldn't send you to. [00:04:22] It's not about any particular group. [00:04:25] It's just about being aware [00:04:28] of what the scripture actually teaches. [00:04:30] Now I'm gonna say this, [00:04:31] and I wanna make this clear this morning. [00:04:34] Again, I do not hate Torah observant people [00:04:37] or what we used to call in the 80s, [00:04:41] the Messianic movement, okay? [00:04:44] There's been different names of it. [00:04:46] The Hebrew roots, they call it. [00:04:47] They call it the Messianic movement, [00:04:49] the Torah observant movement. [00:04:51] I wanna share something that maybe not a lot of you. [00:04:53] I shared this a few years ago [00:04:55] when I started addressing this again. [00:04:57] But for those of you out there, [00:04:59] I want you to know something. [00:05:00] In the 1980s and early 90s, [00:05:03] I used to attend a Messianic Torah observing fellowship [00:05:09] in Birmingham, Alabama on a regular basis. [00:05:14] I went to the Shabbat service. [00:05:16] I was there when they would like the candles [00:05:18] and have the bread, the, what was it called? [00:05:23] I can't remember the, what? [00:05:26] I don't remember now, what? [00:05:28] It's just, I don't know, I can't remember the bread. [00:05:30] And, but I wanna tell you, [00:05:32] and one of my best friends, [00:05:33] one of my very best friends that I would get up [00:05:37] in the morning and meet for early morning prayer [00:05:39] at various churches that actually introduced me [00:05:44] and took me with him into Maxwell Federal Prison [00:05:47] to preach every Monday night in Montgomery, Alabama [00:05:53] to the Cuban drug smugglers that were there. [00:05:59] I mean, this guy that I hung out with, he kept the feast. [00:06:04] I mean, in the sense of the Torah observance [00:06:07] trying to keep the feast. [00:06:08] I mean, of course, even the people try to keep the feast, [00:06:10] you don't keep it according to what the scriptures say [00:06:13] because on Passover, you're supposed to be sacrificing a lamb [00:06:15] and eating all of it, right? [00:06:17] But that doesn't happen anymore. [00:06:20] But what I'm getting at is I was around [00:06:24] the Torah observant people, messianic Jewish people, [00:06:28] going to Shabbat services, [00:06:31] I participated in Passover, Seder's, [00:06:34] Rosh Hashanah celebrations. [00:06:36] I actually own a shofar, a ram's horn from Israel. [00:06:42] I mean, I have participated in the Feast of Tabernacles. [00:06:48] I have done all that, okay? [00:06:50] And I wanna say something, in those years [00:06:52] of hanging out with my friend, [00:06:54] being around Torah-observing people, [00:06:58] people that felt they should keep the Sabbath [00:07:00] starting on Friday night and Saturday, [00:07:03] I never once had any of them. [00:07:06] And we're talking about over years. [00:07:07] We're talking about in the 80s and early 90s [00:07:09] when a lot of you Torah observers weren't even born yet. [00:07:13] Okay? [00:07:14] I mean, it's amazing. [00:07:15] Some of you weren't even born yet [00:07:17] and you've maybe been saved three or five years [00:07:19] and you think you're experts on this thing [00:07:22] because you've watched a lot of YouTube videos [00:07:24] and have your favorite Torah teacher, all right? [00:07:27] But I've been around the blocker time or two. [00:07:29] In fact, my friend that I just mentioned, [00:07:32] he used to work for chosen people ministries, okay? [00:07:35] He used to work for some of the big names [00:07:37] in the Torah observance, messianic, [00:07:40] Hebrew roots, whatever name you wanna put on it, movement. [00:07:42] So I've been around it. [00:07:44] I was around it a lot, all right? [00:07:48] And all that time of being around it [00:07:50] in the 80s and the early 90s, [00:07:53] not one time, not one time, [00:07:58] did I ever hear any rabbi in a messianic ministry [00:08:03] or messianic fellowship? [00:08:05] Not one time did I ever have any speaker that came in [00:08:09] and I've heard them all just about. [00:08:12] Not one time from my friend [00:08:14] who kept the feast and the Sabbath and all that, [00:08:17] not one time did I ever hear, [00:08:20] Dean, you have to do this. [00:08:22] You have to keep the Sabbath. [00:08:23] You have to keep the feast. [00:08:25] You have to be like us [00:08:28] if you really wanna please God. [00:08:32] Never one time. [00:08:34] If you really love God, [00:08:35] Dean, you would keep the Sabbath like us. [00:08:38] Never received any type of condemnation [00:08:43] or pressure or pushing as if you have to do this [00:08:49] to be right with God, to have righteousness, [00:08:52] to be in fellowship with God. [00:08:55] Never was that an issue. [00:08:59] And so what I'm saying is [00:09:01] is that I saw a lot of Christians in the 80s [00:09:04] and the early 90s who went to normal, [00:09:08] I would say Protestant churches, [00:09:09] Baptists, Methodists, Pentecostal, [00:09:13] Assembly of God, different denominations [00:09:15] that would go to Sabbath, Shabbat services, [00:09:19] that would go to fellowship. [00:09:21] And they went, the purpose for doing those things, [00:09:25] they wanted to enhance their understanding [00:09:28] of the scriptures concerning the feast, [00:09:31] concerning Jewish culture [00:09:33] and the culture in which the Bible came from. [00:09:37] And all of that is good. [00:09:39] I mean, some of the first books that I studied [00:09:42] outside of the scriptures is a guy [00:09:45] by the name of Kevin J. Connor. [00:09:47] Maybe some of you heard of him. [00:09:48] We're gonna use his stuff in the school. [00:09:51] But he wrote a book, really a series of books. [00:09:54] One on the Tabernacle of Moses, [00:09:56] the Tabernacle of David, [00:09:57] the Tabernacle of Solomon, [00:09:59] or Solomon's Temple rather. [00:10:01] I mean, I studied those books in depth. [00:10:03] He has a book, The Seven Feasts of the Lord. [00:10:06] I studied those in depth. [00:10:08] I guess I'm saying all this [00:10:09] because I get a little irritated. [00:10:11] Pastor Dean, you just need a little more, [00:10:13] your eyes open a little more. [00:10:15] And I'm like, how long have you been saved? [00:10:18] I'm like, again, I was studying this [00:10:22] and involved in this [00:10:24] and studying this in the scriptures and studying this. [00:10:27] I used to watch Zola Levitt. [00:10:29] I bet a lot of the Torah observers [00:10:31] don't even know who he is [00:10:32] because he's dead and passed away now. [00:10:33] But he was on TV. [00:10:35] He was a Messianic Jewish, born again Christian [00:10:39] that taught about the feast [00:10:42] and about the Sabbath and all the Jewish culture [00:10:46] and all the rituals and the old covenant and all that [00:10:50] and the types and the shadows [00:10:51] and bringing it over in hell. [00:10:52] And bringing, again, the Old Testament brings, [00:10:57] is the shadow, the types and shadows [00:10:59] of things that are now fulfilled, [00:11:03] that are now literal, [00:11:04] that are now done in the new covenant. [00:11:07] And so what I'm saying is any Torah observer out there, [00:11:11] and I wanna say this, [00:11:13] most people that are in the Torah movement [00:11:16] and the Torah observance movement, [00:11:17] they get in that out of a genuine, sincere desire [00:11:24] because they wanna make sure [00:11:25] they're doing what they need to be doing [00:11:27] to please God, to obey God, [00:11:29] to live according to the scriptures, all right? [00:11:32] And the motive is right a lot of time. [00:11:38] But just because your motive is right [00:11:41] doesn't mean you're always doctrinally right. [00:11:45] It doesn't mean you're biblical. [00:11:47] And again, these people will throw out stuff. [00:11:50] Just like right before, [00:11:51] I posted the title of the message today, [00:11:54] which really has two titles. [00:11:56] I posted the title on the Facebook [00:12:02] and it's more, I don't hate Torah observers, [00:12:06] but the message I named it a few weeks ago [00:12:08] was new garments and new wine, [00:12:10] a prophetic warning about the Torah deception, okay? [00:12:14] Because Jesus did give us a warning about this, [00:12:16] about the mixing of the new and old. [00:12:18] We're gonna get into that in just a second here. [00:12:24] But I wanna make it, again, I wanna make it very clear. [00:12:27] This is not about hating on anybody, [00:12:30] but a lot of people think that [00:12:32] if you don't agree with them 100%, [00:12:34] or you correct them a little bit, [00:12:37] or you get stern or strong about something, [00:12:41] that you hate them. [00:12:43] It has nothing to do with that. [00:12:45] Has nothing to do with hate. [00:12:48] Has nothing to do with animosity. [00:12:51] Has nothing to do with, [00:12:52] I don't have enough revelation about this. [00:12:55] Oh, I wish you'd really look into this more. [00:12:58] Again, I was looking into this [00:13:01] when most of these people were not even saved, [00:13:03] were not Christians, [00:13:03] and some of them were not even born yet, okay? [00:13:08] And I wanna say this again too. [00:13:10] If you've been saved three, five years, [00:13:12] you are not a Bible expert yet. [00:13:15] I don't care how many YouTube videos you've watched, [00:13:18] all right? [00:13:20] Because there is a lot of faults mixed in with some truth. [00:13:26] Now, like right before, like on Facebook, [00:13:29] I had a guy say, [00:13:30] oh, Pastor Dean, I love you, [00:13:32] but I keep the whole word. [00:13:34] Again, referring to, I keep the New Testament [00:13:37] and I keep the old, I keep the whole word. [00:13:39] And I said, do you stone adulterers? [00:13:44] Do you refrain from trimming your beard? [00:13:49] Do you sacrifice animals for your sins? [00:13:52] I said, if not, then you don't keep the whole word [00:13:56] as you're referring to. [00:13:59] I'm really getting tired of this, [00:14:01] arrogant, that's an arrogant statement. [00:14:05] It really is. [00:14:06] I keep the whole word. [00:14:08] No, you don't. [00:14:11] No Torah-observing person, [00:14:12] no matter how hard they try, [00:14:14] is keeping the whole word of God in the old covenant. [00:14:20] They're not doing it. [00:14:21] They can't do it. [00:14:23] And any claims that you are doing it [00:14:25] is arrogant pride and just a flat-out lie, okay? [00:14:29] It's just the way it is, all right? [00:14:32] Because see, I can read this. [00:14:33] Let me show you. [00:14:34] I'm gonna read this. [00:14:36] Just put this scripture up first. [00:14:37] I hope that won't mess you up with it [00:14:40] because I'm gonna be all over the place today. [00:14:44] Because this is important, [00:14:45] because I do love these people. [00:14:46] And I know most of them mean well. [00:14:50] But their leaders, a lot of their leaders [00:14:52] and a lot of the ministries leading this stuff [00:14:54] has turned this Torah observance [00:14:57] into a requirement to be right with God. [00:15:00] And they'll talk out of both sides of their mouths. [00:15:02] One minute they'll say, no, no, no, [00:15:04] we're not trying to keep the Torah of the old covenant, [00:15:07] laws and rituals and Sabbaths and feasts. [00:15:10] We're not trying to do that to be righteous, [00:15:12] but then they'll tell you if you don't, you're not righteous. [00:15:16] And I've seen this over and over again. [00:15:18] I go to their ministries. [00:15:20] I read their articles. [00:15:22] I'll show you in a minute, all right? [00:15:25] I mean, there's one I just went to that said [00:15:28] that if you're not a Torah observant Christian, [00:15:30] you don't keep the Sabbath on Saturday and the feast [00:15:32] and you don't do things the way we do it, [00:15:34] you're the five foolish virgins [00:15:35] and we that are awake to the Torah [00:15:37] are the five wise virgins. [00:15:38] And you five foolish virgins aren't gonna make it. [00:15:45] What is that? [00:15:46] If you're telling me if I don't keep the Torah like you, [00:15:48] I'm not gonna make it, then it is a salvation issue [00:15:51] and you are doing it for righteousness [00:15:52] and you are in error and sin. [00:15:58] The apostle settled this question, you guys, [00:16:01] a long time ago. [00:16:04] This should even be an argument, right? [00:16:08] But here, let me point this out. [00:16:09] Here we go. [00:16:11] I'm gonna give you Torah observers [00:16:13] who say you keep the whole law. [00:16:15] I'm gonna read this right here, okay? [00:16:17] This is, let's go to Leviticus, chapter 20, verse 10. [00:16:23] Leviticus 20, 10. [00:16:31] When I see Torah groups doing this, [00:16:36] and I say, well, maybe they are trying to keep the whole law. [00:16:39] Okay, here's what it says. [00:16:43] And the man that committeth adultery [00:16:45] with another man's wife, [00:16:47] even he that committeth adultery with his neighbor's wife, [00:16:50] the adulterer and the adulterer [00:16:51] shall surely be put to death. [00:16:54] I don't see any churches or Torah ministries [00:16:57] putting any adulterers and adulteresses to death. [00:17:01] I haven't seen any public stonings on the news [00:17:06] or Facebook or YouTube. [00:17:11] So that's the law, people. [00:17:13] That's the law of Moses. [00:17:19] Is that there? [00:17:20] Now, see, here's the dangerous thing. [00:17:21] Is that in the Bible? [00:17:24] Is that in the Bible, okay? [00:17:28] Now, folks, under the old covenant, [00:17:29] if you were caught as an adulterer or an adulteress, [00:17:33] you were to be put to death stone. [00:17:37] You understand? [00:17:38] And what God was trying to teach them back then [00:17:40] is the wages of sin is death, [00:17:42] sin is serious, and it must be taken seriously. [00:17:47] And I'm not gonna allow it to continue among my people [00:17:51] because it will destroy marriages and children [00:17:53] and destroy the entire culture. [00:17:56] Now, God was teaching. [00:17:57] But remember, it was the old covenant. [00:17:59] The old covenant is an old contract. [00:18:02] It's an old agreement. [00:18:05] That's why it says old, okay? [00:18:10] But this is what you said. [00:18:11] Now, see, people will say, [00:18:13] oh, I'm only teaching what's in the Bible. [00:18:16] Really? [00:18:16] Okay. [00:18:19] The Bible says Judas went and hanged himself. [00:18:20] I can say, that's in the Bible. [00:18:23] Go hang yourself. [00:18:27] No, if you don't take the Bible in context, [00:18:30] just because you say, oh, it's in the Bible, [00:18:32] I'm just giving you scripture. [00:18:33] I just gave you scripture. [00:18:34] Did I not just give you scripture? [00:18:35] Put it back up there. [00:18:36] Adulters and adulteresses are to be put to death [00:18:40] under the old covenant law, the law of Moses. [00:18:43] Let's read another one just real quick. [00:18:47] Let's go to Deuteronomy 22. [00:18:52] We're gonna read verses 21 through 24. [00:18:55] Deuteronomy 22. [00:19:00] I could do this all day long. [00:19:05] The other day I went, you know, of course, [00:19:07] the Jews are saying the calendar was Rosh Hashanah, [00:19:10] the Feast of Trumpets the other day. [00:19:13] And I went and just read what the law says [00:19:15] about the Feast of Trumpets. [00:19:18] This is what you're supposed to have a burnt offering. [00:19:20] And you're supposed to sacrifice an animal [00:19:23] and a goat for sin and sacrifice an animal [00:19:26] and burn it to a crisp. [00:19:30] I didn't see any Torah observers. [00:19:32] I didn't see any smoke rising and see any sacrifices. [00:19:38] I told my wife, I said, [00:19:39] I happened to be cooking steaks that day. [00:19:41] I said, hey, I got my burnt offering, right? [00:19:47] Here's another one though on adultery. [00:19:49] Let's look at this, which is rampant, right? [00:19:54] Even among not just in the world, [00:19:55] but in the church, among Christians. [00:20:00] Deuteronomy 22 verses 21 through 24. [00:20:02] Then shall they bring out the damsel [00:20:04] to the door of her father's house and the men of her city. [00:20:08] She'll stone her with stones that she die [00:20:10] because she has wrought folly in Israel [00:20:12] to play the whore in her father's house. [00:20:15] So shall thou put evil away from among you. [00:20:19] If a man be found lying with a woman married to a husband, [00:20:22] and then they shall both of them die, [00:20:25] both the man that lay with the woman and the woman, [00:20:29] so shall thou put away evil from Israel. [00:20:32] If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed engaged [00:20:35] unto a husband and a man find her in the city [00:20:38] and lie with her, [00:20:39] then you shall bring them both out [00:20:40] unto the gate of that city [00:20:43] and shall stone them with stones that they die. [00:20:45] The damsel because she cried not being in the city [00:20:49] and the man because he has humbled his neighbor's wife. [00:20:51] So shall thou put away evil from among you. [00:20:56] Hey, Torah observers. [00:20:59] You doing this? [00:21:03] Then do not tell me you are keeping the whole word. [00:21:08] I'm keeping the law. [00:21:09] No, you're not. [00:21:12] You see, Jesus paid. [00:21:13] You know, it says in Isaiah that Jesus, [00:21:15] that by his stripes, what? [00:21:19] He would be wounded for our transgressions. [00:21:21] Isaiah, go ahead and put it up. [00:21:22] Isaiah 53.5. [00:21:27] Let's look at this. [00:21:28] He was wounded for our transgressions. [00:21:31] He was bruised for our iniquities. [00:21:34] Chastisement of our peace was upon him [00:21:37] and with his stripes, we are healed. [00:21:40] I want you to see this. [00:21:41] He was wounded for our transgressions. [00:21:44] That's the payment that Jesus made for sin. [00:21:47] That is the sacrifice, the blood sacrifice, [00:21:50] the death penalty payment that Jesus made for sin. [00:21:55] He was wounded for our transgressions. [00:21:56] He was bruised for our iniquities. [00:21:59] This word right here means injustices [00:22:01] or what, lawlessness. [00:22:06] The chastisement or the punishment [00:22:09] of our peace was upon him. [00:22:10] He also paid so that we don't have to be punished [00:22:17] for our sins like they were under the old covenant. [00:22:21] Everybody see that? [00:22:24] So Jesus took care of the animal sacrifices. [00:22:27] He took care of the penalty, the punishment, [00:22:32] being stoned to death. [00:22:34] He took care of a lot of things, [00:22:35] hence why in the new covenant, [00:22:39] we don't stone adulterers and adulterers. [00:22:44] Everybody remember the story? [00:22:45] Again, this is not part of my PowerPoint this morning, [00:22:47] but let's go to John eight real quick. [00:22:49] People say Jesus didn't violate or change the law, [00:22:55] the Old Testament law. [00:22:58] No, he was in the process of his time here [00:23:02] transitioning us from the old covenant to the new covenant. [00:23:09] And in the process of that transitioning, [00:23:14] we have this incident here. [00:23:15] Let's go to it. [00:23:17] This is John chapter eight, the gospel of John. [00:23:21] All right, we're gonna keep going down through this story. [00:23:23] Jesus went unto the Mount of Olives. [00:23:27] And early in the morning, [00:23:28] he came again into the temple [00:23:29] and all the people came unto him [00:23:31] and he sat down and he taught them. [00:23:33] And the scribes and the Pharisees brought unto him [00:23:36] a woman taken in adultery. [00:23:38] And when they had set her in the midst, [00:23:41] they say unto him, [00:23:42] master, this woman was taken in adultery in the very act. [00:23:46] So there's no question of her guilt. [00:23:51] Now, Moses in the law commanded us [00:23:54] that such should be stoned. [00:23:57] But what sayest thou? [00:24:00] What do you say? [00:24:01] Now, did I not just read in the law of Moses [00:24:05] that anyone caught in adultery was to be stoned, [00:24:10] put to death? [00:24:10] Is that what the law says? [00:24:13] Everybody see that? [00:24:13] Did I make it up? [00:24:14] Did Pastor Dean make it up? [00:24:16] No. [00:24:18] And here, they catch a woman in adultery. [00:24:22] And the fact that we know that she was guilty [00:24:25] is the fact that she never cried out and said, [00:24:27] I'm not guilty, I didn't do it. [00:24:30] She never, ever said she didn't do it. [00:24:35] Now, you know, if you're about to be stoned to death [00:24:38] for something that you didn't do, [00:24:40] what you gonna be saying? [00:24:43] I didn't do it, I didn't do it. [00:24:44] These guys are setting me up. [00:24:47] It's a lie. [00:24:48] And if she denied it, guess what? [00:24:50] There would have to be. [00:24:51] There would have to be two or three witnesses, right? [00:24:56] So here it says, this said they tempting him [00:25:00] that they might have to accuse him. [00:25:03] But Jesus stooped down and with his finger [00:25:05] rode on the ground as though he heard them not. [00:25:09] So when they continued asking him, [00:25:11] he lifted himself up and said unto them, [00:25:13] he that is without sin among you, [00:25:16] let him first cast a stone at her. [00:25:19] And again, he stooped down and rode on the ground. [00:25:25] And they which heard it being convicted [00:25:27] by their own conscience went out one by one, [00:25:29] beginning at the eldest, even until the last. [00:25:32] And Jesus was left alone and the woman standing [00:25:35] in the midst. [00:25:36] And when Jesus had lifted up himself and saw none [00:25:39] but the woman, he said unto her, [00:25:40] woman, where are those thine accusers? [00:25:42] hath no man condemned thee? [00:25:44] She said, no, man, Lord. [00:25:46] And Jesus said unto her, neither do I condemn thee. [00:25:49] Go and sin no more. [00:25:52] Now, as you see here, you see the perfect picture, [00:25:58] the perfect illustration of the transition [00:26:03] from the law of Moses and its demands [00:26:07] to the new covenant law of grace, [00:26:11] the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus. [00:26:13] There is a law in the new covenant. [00:26:15] You can't be an adulterer, [00:26:17] a habitual practicing adulterer in the new covenant. [00:26:20] If you don't get that sin out of your life, [00:26:22] you're ultimately gonna stand before judgment [00:26:24] and you're ultimately gonna be told by the Lord, [00:26:26] depart from me, you curse it into everlasting fire. [00:26:29] Okay, adultery is not condoned in the new covenant, [00:26:32] but we don't stone people for it anymore. [00:26:34] We don't put people to death anymore. [00:26:36] And this is what Jesus was illustrating. [00:26:38] But let me tell you something. [00:26:39] The Pharisees were correct in their saying [00:26:43] of the law of Moses. [00:26:44] Moses commanded, she should be stoned. [00:26:47] That was the law. [00:26:48] Did Jesus keep that law? [00:26:54] If Jesus was keeping the law of Moses right there, [00:26:59] then he would have said, [00:27:00] yes, gentlemen, stone her to death. [00:27:07] But what was Jesus in the process of doing? [00:27:10] He was in the process of establishing the new covenant [00:27:19] and he was demonstrating the law says [00:27:22] she should be stoned and put to death. [00:27:25] But his intervention as the Messiah, [00:27:29] his fulfillment of the law, [00:27:31] him being the advocate, [00:27:34] him being the mediator, [00:27:36] him paying the price for her sin, [00:27:38] even though he hadn't done it yet, [00:27:39] he was going to do it. [00:27:41] But him being the one in the way says, [00:27:45] know what? [00:27:46] I don't condemn you. [00:27:48] I forgive you. [00:27:51] I got rid of your law accusers and your law penalty. [00:27:57] I made them go away. [00:27:59] I don't condemn you, [00:28:01] but go and sin no more. [00:28:02] Don't do that anymore. [00:28:04] Don't live like that. [00:28:08] This is exactly what the apostle Paul, [00:28:11] by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, [00:28:13] taught in the book of Galatians. [00:28:16] It's not circumcision, [00:28:17] Sabbath, feast, new moons. [00:28:22] It's not trying to keep the law of Moses [00:28:23] that makes you righteous. [00:28:25] It's faith. [00:28:26] But then in chapter five of Galatians, [00:28:28] he says, [00:28:29] you cannot live in the habitual practicing sins of the flesh. [00:28:33] And he goes through them, [00:28:33] adultery, fornication, uncleanness, [00:28:35] witchcraft, idolatry, covetousness. [00:28:40] He goes through them and says, [00:28:41] you cannot practice these things [00:28:42] and enter the kingdom of God. [00:28:46] This is not hard, [00:28:51] but yet it's being made hard. [00:28:54] We got people saying, [00:28:55] I mean, literally the Torah observance ministries [00:28:57] that are in error, [00:28:58] the ones that are saying, [00:29:01] you have to try to keep the Old Testament laws [00:29:07] or you are lawless, [00:29:09] you are in sin, [00:29:10] you are violating God's word, [00:29:12] you're not keeping the commandments. [00:29:16] And they don't get, [00:29:19] and this is, [00:29:20] I guess this is what drives me crazy with them. [00:29:25] They'll say stuff like, [00:29:26] God didn't change. [00:29:28] God didn't change. [00:29:30] The word didn't change. [00:29:34] No, God didn't change. [00:29:35] That's great. [00:29:37] He's the same yesterday, today, and forever, [00:29:39] but his covenants have changed. [00:29:42] And guess what? [00:29:43] The one who makes the rules [00:29:45] can change the rules, [00:29:47] however he sees fit. [00:29:51] And I don't care what you wanna say, [00:29:55] but the rules under the new covenant [00:29:58] are different than the rules under the Old. [00:30:00] There are some things in the Old [00:30:02] that are carried over into the New, [00:30:03] but not all. [00:30:05] If all was, [00:30:06] we'd still be stoning rebellious kids, [00:30:08] homosexuals, and adulterers. [00:30:16] Now, let me tell you something now. [00:30:18] You quote any verse in the Old Testament [00:30:22] and try to make it work outside the context [00:30:25] of the New Testament, [00:30:26] you're in error. [00:30:30] Now, I wanna show you. [00:30:32] Does the scripture say the law changed? [00:30:35] Well, of course it does. [00:30:36] Go to Hebrews. [00:30:39] This is just the introduction, y'all. [00:30:40] We're not even into the PowerPoint yet. [00:30:47] Let's go to Hebrews. [00:30:57] Go to Hebrews chapter seven. [00:31:05] I believe the apostle Paul wrote Hebrews, [00:31:07] but regardless, one of the apostles wrote it. [00:31:12] I believe it was written by the apostle Paul [00:31:14] because it was given to Timothy to carry on. [00:31:18] And we know who was Paul's protege, right? [00:31:22] Was Timothy? [00:31:24] So more than likely it was Paul. [00:31:26] And of course, Paul being a former Pharisee [00:31:29] and an expert in the law [00:31:31] would be the one to write the book of Hebrews [00:31:33] to explain the differences between the two, right? [00:31:37] And here's what Paul says. [00:31:38] He's talking about, we're gonna go to, [00:31:41] let's just read from verse one. [00:31:45] He starts talking about Melchizedek. [00:31:48] This is the Old Testament character [00:31:51] that Abraham paid tithes to. [00:31:54] I believe what Paul is revealing here [00:31:56] is that Melchizedek was a pre-incarnate appearance [00:32:00] of the Lord Jesus, Messiah in the old covenant, [00:32:04] because he is eternal. [00:32:06] It's another thing that many of them [00:32:08] are starting to get in error about. [00:32:10] They do not understand the deity. [00:32:13] They're beginning to deny that Jesus Christ, [00:32:15] the Messiah, Yeshua, if you prefer. [00:32:19] There are many of them beginning to deny [00:32:21] that he is God in the flesh, [00:32:22] and they just don't have an understanding [00:32:24] of the triune nature of God. [00:32:27] But here's what Paul says here. [00:32:29] And I believe Paul's writings are inspired scripture. [00:32:32] Again, I'm gonna show you in a minute. [00:32:33] There's a lot of the Torah observers [00:32:35] that are getting into saying Paul was a false teacher. [00:32:38] He was a false apostle. [00:32:39] His epistles are not inspired scripture. [00:32:43] This is a terrible, terrible error [00:32:46] these people have fallen into. [00:32:48] But let's read from verse one. [00:32:49] He says, for this Melchizedek, king of Salem, [00:32:52] which is Jerusalem, it was originally called Salem, [00:32:55] which means peace, priest of the most high God [00:32:59] who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings [00:33:02] and blessed him, to whom Abraham gave a 10th part of all, [00:33:06] first being by interpretation king of righteousness [00:33:09] and also king of Salem, which is king of peace. [00:33:12] Now, he says that this Melchizedek [00:33:15] is the king of righteousness. [00:33:19] My Lord, could that be a man? [00:33:22] Could that just be a regular human man born from Adam? [00:33:28] No, he's the king of righteousness here. [00:33:31] It says he's the king of peace. [00:33:34] What does it say in Isaiah nine? [00:33:36] When it talks about the son who would be born, [00:33:38] referring to Jesus, it says he will be called wonderful, [00:33:42] counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father [00:33:45] and the prince of peace, or the king of peace, right? [00:33:51] And look what it says here. [00:33:52] He is the king of righteousness, this Melchizedek, [00:33:55] the king of peace, and verse three gives it away. [00:33:59] Without father, without mother, without descent, [00:34:03] having neither beginning of days nor end of life, [00:34:05] but made like unto the son of God, [00:34:07] abideth a priest continually. [00:34:09] Now, consider how great this man was [00:34:11] and to whom even the patriarch Abraham [00:34:14] gave the 10th of the spoils [00:34:16] and verily they that are the sons of Levi [00:34:19] who received the office of the priesthood [00:34:20] have a commandment to take tithes of the people [00:34:23] according to the law that is of their brethren [00:34:26] though they come out of the loins of Abraham. [00:34:28] But he who descent is not counted [00:34:31] from them received tithes of Abraham [00:34:33] and blessed him that had the promises. [00:34:36] And without all contradiction, [00:34:37] the less is blessed of the better. [00:34:40] So he's saying it was Melchizedek that blessed Abraham [00:34:43] that Abraham was below whoever this was, right? [00:34:47] As Abraham, he was blessed by Melchizedek [00:34:49] and he paid tithes to Melchizedek. [00:34:53] But he goes on to say this about him receiving, [00:34:58] we'll drop down, let's go down to verse 11. [00:35:01] Because he starts talking about the Levitical priesthood [00:35:04] which was mandated in the law of Moses. [00:35:09] And he says this, [00:35:09] if therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood [00:35:13] for under it the people received the law, [00:35:16] what further need was there that another priest [00:35:17] should arise after the order of Melchizedek [00:35:19] and not be called after the order of Aaron? [00:35:22] For the priesthood being changed. [00:35:24] Everybody say changed. [00:35:28] God didn't change, but wait a minute. [00:35:30] All of a sudden the priesthood changed. [00:35:34] Please don't tell me that nothing's changed. [00:35:38] That's just a lie. [00:35:40] He said the priesthood changed. [00:35:43] Verse 12, he says, [00:35:44] there is made of necessity a change also of the law. [00:35:49] Everybody say that. [00:35:52] The priesthood changed. [00:35:54] There was a prophecy that said [00:35:55] that we would go to a new priesthood, [00:35:58] not from the tribe of Levi, [00:36:00] but from the tribe of Judah, a Melchizedek priesthood. [00:36:02] And that the Messiah would be our high priest [00:36:05] after the order of Melchizedek. [00:36:08] But to do that, to have a high priest [00:36:11] that's not from Aaron, you would have to change the law. [00:36:15] Cause the law said the high priest had to come [00:36:18] from the family of Levi, the family of Aaron. [00:36:23] So the priesthood changed. [00:36:26] That means the law changed under the new covenant. [00:36:31] And I got people out there that'll email me, [00:36:33] text me, comment me, come after me and say, [00:36:35] Oh, it didn't change. [00:36:46] No, it changed. [00:36:48] Verse 12 again, for the priesthood being changed, [00:36:51] there's made of necessity, a change of the law. [00:36:57] For he of whom these things are spoken [00:36:59] pertaineth to another tribe, [00:37:01] of which no man gave attendance at the altar. [00:37:02] For it is evident that our Lord, the Lord Jesus Christ, [00:37:06] the descendant of King David, [00:37:09] sprang out of Judah, the tribe of Judah, [00:37:11] of which tribe Moses spake nothing [00:37:13] concerning the priesthood. [00:37:16] Do you hear that? [00:37:16] Moses spake of nothing concerning the priesthood [00:37:20] of the Messiah, Melchizedek priesthood [00:37:23] out of the tribe of Judah. [00:37:26] So folks, if you're gonna tell me, [00:37:28] I'm keeping the whole word of the Torah, [00:37:32] the Old Testament. [00:37:35] Well, then where's your Levitical priesthood? [00:37:39] Who's your high priest? [00:37:40] Oh, it's Jesus. [00:37:42] Wait a minute. [00:37:45] You mean it changed. [00:37:47] Then the utter hypocrisy of this movement, [00:37:56] these errors in this Torah movement is mind boggling. [00:38:00] It's mind boggling that they can say some of this stuff [00:38:02] with a straight face. [00:38:04] And then think I'm bad for saying you're wrong. [00:38:09] You're just dead wrong. [00:38:11] Let's keep reading it. [00:38:15] Verse 14 again, for it is evident [00:38:16] that our Lord sprang out of Judah, [00:38:18] of which tribe Moses spake nothing [00:38:20] concerning the priesthood. [00:38:21] It is yet far more evident [00:38:23] that after the similitude of Melchizedek, [00:38:26] there arises another priest who is made [00:38:28] not after the law of a carnal commandment, [00:38:30] but after the power of an endless life. [00:38:32] Speaking of Jesus, for he testified [00:38:35] that thou art a priest forever [00:38:36] after the order of Melchizedek. [00:38:38] Now look at verse 18, [00:38:39] for there is verily a disannulling of the commandment. [00:38:46] Now this has to be painful [00:38:47] to a person in the Torah movement [00:38:50] who has embraced the error aspect of the Torah movement. [00:38:54] Disannulling of the commandment, [00:38:57] change of the law. [00:38:58] These are phrases in the scripture. [00:39:01] And what I just showed you a minute ago, [00:39:03] it is evident that Jesus was saying [00:39:05] these changes are coming because of the way [00:39:08] he dealt with the woman caught in adultery. [00:39:13] Everybody see that? [00:39:14] Can somebody say thank God [00:39:16] we're not under the old covenant? [00:39:19] Because we'd all be dead, right? [00:39:26] I would be, I don't know about the rest of you, [00:39:29] but I'd have been stoned a long time ago [00:39:32] when I was a teenager, [00:39:33] I'd have been stoned dead under the law. [00:39:39] Let's keep going. [00:39:41] Again, verse 18, [00:39:42] for there is verily or truly a disannulling [00:39:45] of the commandment going before [00:39:47] for the weakness and unprofitiveness thereof. [00:39:50] Look at verse 19, [00:39:50] for the law, speaking of the law of Moses, [00:39:53] made nothing perfect, [00:39:55] but the bringing in of a better hope did [00:39:59] by the which we draw nigh to God. [00:40:01] Now, I just wanna stop there. [00:40:03] Do you see that? [00:40:04] He's saying the law made nothing perfect. [00:40:11] So if the law made nothing perfect, [00:40:13] even when we were under, [00:40:15] or even when there was a people of God [00:40:18] under that old law, [00:40:19] it made nothing perfect. [00:40:21] How in the world can we even now [00:40:23] try to go back and keep an old covenant law [00:40:26] when we're under a new covenant [00:40:27] and think that that's gonna make us perfect? [00:40:30] It is insanity. [00:40:33] It is absolute insanity. [00:40:38] And he says here, [00:40:39] for the law made nothing perfect, [00:40:41] but the bringing in of a better hope did [00:40:45] by the which we draw nigh into God. [00:40:48] And in so much as not without an oath, [00:40:51] he was made a high priest, [00:40:52] for those priests were made without an oath, [00:40:54] but this with an oath by him that said, [00:40:57] the Lord swear I will not repent, [00:40:58] thou art a priest forever [00:41:00] after the order of Melchizedek. [00:41:01] Look at verse 22, [00:41:03] by so much was Jesus made [00:41:06] a surety of a better Testament. [00:41:09] And they truly were many priests [00:41:11] because they were not suffered [00:41:13] to continue by reason of death. [00:41:14] But this man, because he continues forever, [00:41:16] he has an unchangeable priesthood. [00:41:19] Now he goes on to talk about Jesus. [00:41:23] And then, you know, [00:41:24] and of course he goes into chapter eight, [00:41:26] let's go over to chapter eight. [00:41:28] And he says this, [00:41:32] go to verse six, [00:41:35] speaking of Jesus still in this new covenant, [00:41:37] he says, but now he has obtained [00:41:40] a more excellent ministry [00:41:42] by much also he is the mediator [00:41:44] of a better covenant. [00:41:46] Everybody say the word better covenant, [00:41:51] better covenant, [00:41:55] which was established upon better promises. [00:42:01] For if that first covenant had been faultless, [00:42:05] there should no place have been sought [00:42:08] for the second. [00:42:11] I could spend all day just in Hebrews. [00:42:15] If the old covenant was it, [00:42:17] there's no need for the new. [00:42:22] But he says here, Jesus came. [00:42:24] There was a disannulling of certain commandments. [00:42:29] There was a change of the law. [00:42:30] There's a change of the priesthood. [00:42:32] There's a change of the penalties of the law. [00:42:34] And let me continue, I'm gonna say this. [00:42:36] There's a change in the new covenant [00:42:38] of the requirement to keep Sabbaths and feasts [00:42:41] and new moons. [00:42:42] There's a change. [00:42:42] There's a change in the new covenant [00:42:45] about having to keep circumcision. [00:42:47] There's a change of the dietary law. [00:42:50] There's a change. [00:42:51] I'm sorry, but these things did change [00:42:54] and God is the one who changed them [00:42:56] under the new covenant. [00:43:02] All right, now we're gonna go, [00:43:06] we'll go to my PowerPoint here for a moment. [00:43:14] So let's go to the PowerPoint. [00:43:17] Am I ready? [00:43:17] Start changing? [00:43:21] Cause I have a little illustration for you this morning. [00:43:23] That's why I got these old shirts, [00:43:24] one kind of new, one kind of old up here. [00:43:27] Can y'all see that? [00:43:30] We'll get to that. [00:43:32] Sharpen my scissors this morning too. [00:43:35] All right, new garments, new wine, [00:43:40] a prophetic warning about the Torah deception. [00:43:42] So let's go to the scriptures on this. [00:43:44] Jesus gave this parable, all right? [00:43:47] And I'm gonna have it to you in a couple of versions. [00:43:50] But this is Luke five. [00:43:51] And I believe that this is a parable of Jesus, [00:43:56] but I believe the parable, [00:43:57] Jesus spoke in some parables sometimes, [00:43:58] but those parables illustrated truth, [00:44:02] biblical truth, spiritual truth. [00:44:06] So let's look at the truth [00:44:07] that Jesus was talking about here. [00:44:08] Let's dig this out, okay? [00:44:11] So Luke five, we'll put it back up here, let's read it. [00:44:15] 36-39, and he, speaking of Jesus, [00:44:18] spake also a parable into them. [00:44:20] No man puteth a piece of a new garment upon an old. [00:44:25] If otherwise then both the new maketh a rent [00:44:27] and the piece that was taken out of the new [00:44:29] agreeeth not with the old. [00:44:31] And no man puteth new wine into old bottles [00:44:34] or it should be old wineskins. [00:44:37] And please don't start with the Mandela effect [00:44:39] because it's always been bottles in the King James, [00:44:43] but it's wineskins. [00:44:44] And no man puteth new wine into old bottles or wineskins [00:44:49] else the new wine will burst the bottles and be spilled [00:44:52] and the bottles shall perish. [00:44:55] But new wine must be put into new bottles, new wineskins, [00:44:58] and both are preserved. [00:44:59] Now look at verse 39. [00:45:00] No man also having drunk old wine straightway [00:45:03] or immediately desires new, [00:45:05] for he sayeth the old is better. [00:45:08] I believe that this is Jesus explaining [00:45:12] there is going to be a battle of people [00:45:18] trying to mix the old and the new testament. [00:45:22] And he's explaining it's not going to work. [00:45:26] But he said there's gonna be a group [00:45:29] who love the old and they're drinking of the old [00:45:32] and they say it's better than the new. [00:45:34] And I literally had a Torah observer [00:45:37] stand in this church about a year ago [00:45:40] and tell me that trying to go back under [00:45:43] the law of Moses and the old covenant [00:45:45] was a better way to live. [00:45:48] Now when the new testament says that [00:45:50] the new covenant is based on better covenant [00:45:54] with better promises, I'm like how is it better? [00:45:59] This same person didn't have enough sense [00:46:03] on the Feast of Tabernacles last year [00:46:07] to not try to keep the Feast of Tabernacles in a hurricane. [00:46:12] And their little suko booth collapsed [00:46:14] in the 90 mile an hour winds as it's raining [00:46:17] and storming and nearly collapsed on her kids' intents. [00:46:21] Because she didn't have enough sense to go, [00:46:23] you know what, I don't have to keep this law [00:46:25] of this feast and endanger my life [00:46:27] and my children's lives in a hurricane. [00:46:32] I mean we had 90 mile an hour winds here [00:46:36] this far inland. [00:46:37] We get that every now and then with hurricanes. [00:46:42] And I'm like, this shows the error. [00:46:46] If you think you're so under the law of Moses [00:46:49] that you have to keep it to be right with God [00:46:51] that you've gotta go practice [00:46:53] and do the Feast of Tabernacles in a hurricane [00:46:55] and endanger your children, [00:46:59] you have something wrong. [00:47:01] You have believed a lie. [00:47:04] You are under compulsion. [00:47:09] You are not under freedom. [00:47:11] I don't know about you, but you know what? [00:47:13] During the hurricane, I didn't go out under a suko booth [00:47:19] to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. [00:47:20] I was in my house doing just fine. [00:47:24] You know why? [00:47:25] Because I have no compulsion [00:47:27] that I have to do that to be right with God. [00:47:29] And I have no compulsion to do it [00:47:31] because the New Testament does not require me to do it. [00:47:37] And I think even God would say, [00:47:39] don't y'all have any sense? [00:47:49] I'm gonna show you something. [00:47:51] Let's look at this, see? [00:47:53] I got an old garment here. [00:47:55] Anybody can tell it's old. [00:47:56] It used to be this color. [00:48:00] It's kind of, both of them were, [00:48:02] both of these are navy blue, [00:48:03] but this one I've had for a long time. [00:48:07] Me and this one have done a lot of work together. [00:48:10] All right? [00:48:11] We did a lot of work. [00:48:11] You can see paint and caulk and all kind of work on it. [00:48:17] All right? [00:48:18] This is the old. [00:48:20] This is the new. [00:48:22] All right, now Jesus says this. [00:48:23] Let's look at this. [00:48:24] Let's break it down. [00:48:25] He says, you don't take a piece. [00:48:27] We're gonna take a piece. [00:48:28] You don't take a piece of a new garden. [00:48:34] Let's get a good piece. [00:48:38] See if it'll cut here. [00:48:43] There we go. [00:48:44] All right, he said, you don't take this piece here. [00:48:47] I didn't wanna cut. [00:48:50] There we go. [00:48:50] There we go. [00:48:53] Anyway, there we go. [00:48:57] You don't take the piece of the new. [00:48:58] You don't cut the new. [00:48:59] You don't try to take a piece. [00:49:02] Now think about what that means right there. [00:49:05] Here, I just cut a piece out of a new shirt. [00:49:08] I'm ruining the new shirt. [00:49:12] Why am I cutting a new shirt? [00:49:13] Why am I cutting a new garment? [00:49:15] Why am I trying to take a piece out of it [00:49:19] to fix what didn't work? [00:49:22] See, I got a hole here in the old. [00:49:25] Try to fix this. [00:49:31] See, when you say, okay, you know what? [00:49:33] This is what Torah people say. [00:49:34] They say, you know, we're supposed to keep... [00:49:36] God didn't change who. [00:49:37] We're supposed to keep all the Old Testament law. [00:49:40] We're supposed to obey the whole Bible. [00:49:41] Doesn't that sound... [00:49:42] That sounds virtuous though. [00:49:43] It sounds pious though. [00:49:44] We're supposed to keep the whole Bible. [00:49:48] But, they'll say, but Jesus became our sacrifice. [00:49:51] So we don't have to do animal sacrifice. [00:49:52] So we can take that piece. [00:49:54] Jesus became our sacrifice for our sins. [00:49:56] We're gonna take that piece of the new out of the new [00:50:01] and try to put it over here and patch up [00:50:03] where the old didn't work, [00:50:07] where the old made nothing perfect. [00:50:15] And what does he say? [00:50:17] No man put at the piece of new garment upon an old. [00:50:21] If otherwise then, if you make the new, [00:50:24] you ruin the new. [00:50:27] You ruin the new garment. [00:50:34] And then the piece, he's saying of the new, [00:50:38] does not agree with the old. [00:50:45] Did Jesus agree with the Pharisees [00:50:48] and their quote of the law of Moses? [00:50:50] That we should stone this woman, call it adultery? [00:50:52] Did he agree with them? [00:50:54] The new does not agree with the old on every point. [00:51:00] It just does not. [00:51:05] Everybody see that? [00:51:10] And then he says this. [00:51:13] He says, you've ruined the new. [00:51:15] If you try to mix the new and the old, [00:51:17] he says, you ruined the new [00:51:20] and the new part in the old doesn't agree with the old. [00:51:23] So what do you have? [00:51:25] You have a problem, either way. [00:51:29] And then he says this, the warning of this. [00:51:31] And this is it. [00:51:32] He said, the next illustration, he said, new wine [00:51:36] and there's a reason he used new wine. [00:51:39] We'll go to that in just a second. [00:51:40] He said, new wine must be put into new bottles [00:51:44] or wine skins and both are preserved. [00:51:48] So he's plainly saying, you even have to put the new [00:51:52] in a whole new container. [00:51:55] And that container is called the church of Jesus Christ. [00:51:58] There's a lot of church haters out there. [00:52:01] I'm sorry, if you hate the church [00:52:03] and you hate a church that has leaders and pastors, [00:52:06] you are in sin, error, and you have some problems. [00:52:11] But he says, new wine must be put into new wine skins [00:52:15] because if you don't, what does wine do? [00:52:18] Why do they put corks on wine bottles? [00:52:22] So as it's fermenting, as it's in the bottle, [00:52:25] it can breathe and those gases can escape [00:52:28] without busting the bottles open. [00:52:30] So new wine's gotta be going through that process [00:52:33] of maturing and it's gotta have some escape. [00:52:37] Old wine's already done that, so it's finished. [00:52:42] But he says, if you try to take new wine [00:52:46] and put it into the old vessel, both are lost. [00:52:56] That's pretty serious, isn't it? [00:52:58] Is that not the warning of Jesus? [00:53:04] Does everybody see that? [00:53:07] You see, I don't try to mix the old and the new. [00:53:11] I learn from the old, the tights and the shadows. [00:53:14] All the scriptures for doctrine, [00:53:16] but all doctrine must now be filtered through [00:53:20] and be taken in the context of the new [00:53:23] or else you gotta be sacrificing animals [00:53:25] and stoning adulterers and rebellious kids [00:53:28] and so on and so forth. [00:53:32] I mean, I just wonder, so think logically, [00:53:41] the number one issue in interpreting scripture, [00:53:44] hermeneutics, true biblical interpretation [00:53:48] is context of the scriptures. [00:53:54] See, I can read Psalm 119. [00:53:56] All the Torah people love Psalm 119. [00:54:00] Well, I can read Psalm 119 and have no conflict [00:54:04] once I put it in context with the new covenant. [00:54:08] But if I try to take Psalm 119 [00:54:10] and put it in the context of the old, [00:54:15] we're in trouble, because we can't do it. [00:54:21] Let's keep going here. [00:54:25] This is the amplified version. [00:54:26] I just wanted to read the amplified version [00:54:28] of this same passage in Luke. [00:54:31] He, Jesus, also told them a parable. [00:54:34] No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment [00:54:37] and puts it on an old one. [00:54:39] Otherwise, he will both tear the new [00:54:42] and the piece from the new will not match the old. [00:54:45] And no one puts new wine into old wine skins. [00:54:47] Otherwise, the new fermenting wine [00:54:50] will expand and burst the skins [00:54:51] and it will be spilled out and the skins will be ruined. [00:54:54] But new wine must be put into fresh wine skins. [00:54:58] And he says, and no one after drinking old wine [00:55:01] wishes for new, for he says the old is fine. [00:55:05] This is Jesus' parable warning defining [00:55:11] of this whole Torah movement, [00:55:15] trying to mix the danger of trying to mix the old [00:55:17] and the new and how they'll say, no, no, no, no. [00:55:21] We got the old, the old, our way's better. [00:55:26] Now, remember, I wanna say this. [00:55:28] I don't have a problem with anyone [00:55:29] who wants to do those things, [00:55:32] keep feasts, sabbaths, new moons, [00:55:35] try to do your very best if you want to. [00:55:38] I have no problem with anybody who wants to do that. [00:55:41] That's fine, if you wanna do that, [00:55:42] that's the way you want to express your Christianity [00:55:46] and your relationship with God, [00:55:48] you feel it's a personal conviction, [00:55:50] your personal conscience, all that is fine. [00:55:54] But the moment it switches over into, [00:55:58] this makes me a more enlightened, better Christian [00:56:01] than those who don't do this. [00:56:06] This is what really pleases God the way I do it. [00:56:14] Or those Christians in those 501c3 churches, [00:56:22] by the way, we're not 501c3, [00:56:23] but you know, I'm a little sick of, [00:56:25] let me tell you, there's a denomination of Christians out there [00:56:29] and I got a name for them, Lone Ranger, [00:56:33] the Lone Ranger denomination. [00:56:37] And they harp on 501c3 and Christmas and Easter. [00:56:40] Let me just tell you something. [00:56:42] We don't do Easter here. [00:56:44] We don't do Christmas in the traditional sense. [00:56:47] We don't do Halloween. [00:56:49] But I don't look at Christians in other churches [00:56:52] who might celebrate those things [00:56:54] as if they are on their way to hell. [00:56:59] I just don't look at that that way. [00:57:01] And let me remind everyone that in church history, [00:57:04] if you know anything about church history, [00:57:06] especially since the Reformation, [00:57:10] every church, every move of God, [00:57:13] every time God has poured out his spirit [00:57:16] and there's been great revival, great awakening, [00:57:19] just so happens to be, [00:57:20] and let's just talk about the English-speaking world. [00:57:23] We can go from the Reformation to the, [00:57:29] oh, the, why did I forget there? [00:57:34] Oh, the Moravians. [00:57:35] The Moravians to John Wesley and the Methodists [00:57:39] to the great Cambridge Revival to the Welsh Revival [00:57:43] to the Hebrides Revival to the Azusa Street Revival [00:57:48] to the 1857 Prayer Revival across America, [00:57:51] the first great awakening in America in the 1700s, [00:57:54] the second great awakening led by the great evangelist [00:57:56] Charles Finney. [00:57:57] Guess what, guys? [00:57:58] All of those great revivals for the last 500 years [00:58:03] in the English-speaking world [00:58:05] has been from those Christmas Easter-celebrating churches [00:58:09] who say Jesus. [00:58:13] Oh, painful! [00:58:19] I'm sorry, but the Holy Spirit, [00:58:20] and what really gripes me sometimes [00:58:23] is some of these very people who are, [00:58:25] you know, that are pushing this, [00:58:27] I gotta keep the Sabbath and the feast, [00:58:29] I gotta do the Torah to be right with God. [00:58:31] They got saved in an Easter-celebrating, [00:58:35] Christmas-celebrating church that said Jesus Christ. [00:58:39] They were born again. [00:58:40] They were saved. [00:58:41] They wouldn't even be in the kingdom of God at all [00:58:43] if it wasn't for that horrible 501c3 church. [00:58:50] Up the madness! [00:58:56] Oh, you think a non-501c3 church [00:59:02] can't fall into the same fear of man [00:59:04] and worry about what they're saying? [00:59:13] I'm just, the insanity that's out there, [00:59:17] the meanness. [00:59:20] I mean, look, let's see here. [00:59:22] Let me see where we are here. [00:59:23] Oh, yeah, let's look at this. [00:59:27] Oh, Matthew 26, 27 through 29. [00:59:32] Just so you know that the new wine Jesus was talking about. [00:59:35] See, that'll take somebody off right there, [00:59:36] just the passion of the Christ. [00:59:38] Don't you know Mel Gibson's a heathen? [00:59:40] I don't care. [00:59:42] And I know he's a weird Catholic. [00:59:45] You know what, but the story was good. [00:59:50] I saw people in the theater in tears [00:59:52] running down their face, [00:59:54] watching the passion of Christ. [00:59:57] I know Caviezel's a universalist, [01:00:01] but did God use this movie to lead people to Jesus [01:00:03] and to salvation, to repentance and faith? [01:00:06] Yes, absolutely. [01:00:09] I hear Matthew 26, 27 through 29. [01:00:13] Hey, Jesus, this is at the Last Supper, [01:00:16] the Passover, the last one. [01:00:18] And he said this, he took the cup and he gave thanks [01:00:20] and he gave it to them saying, [01:00:21] drink ye all of it, [01:00:23] for this is my blood of the New Testament, [01:00:26] which is shed for many for the remission of sins. [01:00:29] But I say unto you, [01:00:30] I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine [01:00:32] until that day when I drink it new [01:00:34] with you in my Father's kingdom. [01:00:37] So I wanted you to see the new wine he's talking about. [01:00:40] I can say that that parable in Luke five, [01:00:43] he's talking about the New Testament, [01:00:44] the new covenant in his blood. [01:00:46] It's different than the old. [01:00:49] It's better. [01:00:50] Thank God it's better. [01:00:53] I thank God every day that I'm under the new covenant. [01:00:59] I thank God every day for the blood of Jesus. [01:01:01] I thank God every day that I don't have [01:01:04] to try to work it all out just perfectly [01:01:06] to be right with him. [01:01:08] Oh, thank God for it. [01:01:14] Let's keep going here. [01:01:16] I've already gone through all that. [01:01:19] There's the stuff I was gonna cover [01:01:21] about even the verb tenses. [01:01:24] Now this was a post on Facebook. [01:01:26] I just deleted this guy [01:01:28] because this kind of stuff right here [01:01:30] is what I'm talking about. [01:01:32] He says, if you attend a church building on Sundays, [01:01:35] don't send me a friend request. [01:01:37] I follow Jesus and his teachings. [01:01:40] Could there be anything more arrogant [01:01:43] and prideful and religious [01:01:46] and divisive than that right there? [01:01:50] If you dare worship God on Sunday in a church building, [01:01:55] don't send me a friend request. [01:01:57] You're not following Jesus the right way. [01:02:01] And I already have a whole thing [01:02:03] where I deal with the Sabbath issue. [01:02:10] It doesn't matter what day of the week [01:02:12] you wanna pick to rest and give to God [01:02:17] and worship God and love on God [01:02:19] and gather with other people. [01:02:21] And it doesn't matter if you gather in a garden outside [01:02:24] or you gather in a home somewhere, [01:02:26] or you gather in a church building. [01:02:28] Come on folks, really? [01:02:37] And people wanna give me a hard time. [01:02:40] And this is the kind of crap [01:02:42] that you see in the Torah movement. [01:02:48] There's just a pastor that got fired [01:02:51] over the flat earth. [01:02:51] I mean, I've been contacted by several, [01:02:56] quite a few really. [01:02:58] Youth pastors, college ministers, senior pastors [01:03:02] that have been fired over the biblical cosmology [01:03:05] flat earth issue, [01:03:06] that the movement, the truth that's being revealed. [01:03:10] So the latest brother that just got fired [01:03:13] over this issue, this topic, [01:03:17] people are starting to post his testimony about this. [01:03:23] And you see in the comments, [01:03:27] I mean, if people start talking about, [01:03:28] well, what do you do? [01:03:29] You shouldn't even been in a Sunday church anyway. [01:03:35] What do you do? [01:03:36] That's your problem. [01:03:38] You're in one of those Sunday church. [01:03:39] Even they talk about pastors shouldn't get paid. [01:03:43] Oh, that's another sermon. [01:03:49] I mean, even the Levitical priests, [01:03:51] you know how they lived? [01:03:53] They got part of the offering that came in [01:03:55] to offer to the Lord. [01:03:56] And yet, I mean, these people, [01:03:58] that's what, you know, here's one of the things [01:04:00] that Paul said, he used to say to him, [01:04:01] he said, those of you desire to be under the law, [01:04:03] don't you even hear the law? [01:04:07] If people desire to be under the law, [01:04:08] you don't even understand it. [01:04:11] You don't even have the capability [01:04:13] of understanding certain concepts. [01:04:17] And it's just mind-blowing. [01:04:19] It's mind-blowing where we've gone to, [01:04:21] but this is the kind of meaning. [01:04:22] Now, this, I'm so tired of hearing that right there. [01:04:28] I just, and I'll tell you something else too. [01:04:30] You can get bad at me if you want to, [01:04:31] but I get this kind of people on my Facebook or YouTube. [01:04:37] It's goodbye. [01:04:39] Ban block, au revoir, monsieur, madame, goodbye. [01:04:48] Go live in your imaginary Torah observance world [01:04:53] that you're in, [01:04:55] because you're in so much deception and pride, [01:04:56] you can't see straight. [01:05:00] But here is another for this one, [01:05:02] and I'm sorry, but gonna name a few names, [01:05:07] and put stuff out there publicly, [01:05:09] then it's free game, right? [01:05:11] So this guy's website, I think his name is Nichols. [01:05:14] Yeah, Douglas Nichols, [01:05:16] calls himself a biblical researcher, right? [01:05:19] lasttrumpet.org ministries, right? [01:05:24] So I came across his stuff, [01:05:26] and he said, I only professed [01:05:29] to be a biblical researcher, and that's it. [01:05:32] And then he says this, [01:05:35] there are only 12 apostles, [01:05:37] and 12 apostles listed in the Bible, [01:05:38] they are called the 24 elders. [01:05:41] How do you get 24 out of 12? [01:05:43] Well, then he said 12 prophets and then 12 apostles, [01:05:46] blah, blah, blah. [01:05:47] And then he says this, [01:05:49] also a saint is only someone who is Torah observant [01:05:53] of Lord Yeshua, that is, [01:05:55] only saints will rise from the dead. [01:05:57] So he's saying here, very clearly, [01:05:59] only those who try to be Torah observant [01:06:02] are called our saints and will be raised from the dead. [01:06:05] So here we go, right? [01:06:09] Well, again, these are the same people that'll say, [01:06:12] no, it's not a salvation issue. [01:06:14] Oh, really? [01:06:16] Well, this guy goes on to say, [01:06:18] again, he says in the nutshell, [01:06:20] the foolish versions of Matthew 25 [01:06:22] are basically all the Sunday Christian sex. [01:06:25] They are not Torah observant of Lord Yeshua, [01:06:28] how foolish of them to do such a thing [01:06:29] to reject being Torah observant. [01:06:32] So they get shut out by the Lord when he returns [01:06:35] with his sons of light, sons of Torah, okay? [01:06:40] And then he goes on to say, [01:06:41] I am not of any Christian sect. [01:06:44] He says, Lord Yeshua is of the Essene sect, [01:06:47] which is highly devout Torah observant sect [01:06:49] and non rabbinic practices. [01:06:51] Lord Yeshua did not come to start up a new religion [01:06:53] called Christianity. [01:06:55] It was the false apostle Paul who did that. [01:06:58] Paul professes to be of the Pharisees. [01:07:00] Lord Yeshua would never have a Pharisee [01:07:03] as an apostle and so on. [01:07:05] So he actually believes that Paul is a false apostle. [01:07:12] This ministry is Torah observant [01:07:13] of non rabbinic practices, [01:07:15] helping people in these last days [01:07:16] to get into the lifeboat, [01:07:18] called being Torah observant of the Lord [01:07:21] of non rabbinic practices [01:07:22] and not of the false apostle Paul. [01:07:27] Look down here, he says, [01:07:27] the Lord will only remember his children [01:07:29] by those who keep his Sabbaths [01:07:32] and all those Sunday Christians of Paul [01:07:34] will get left behind, foolish verse. [01:07:37] Now, what makes this character, [01:07:39] you say this is just some nut, right? [01:07:42] What makes this character even more disturbing, right? [01:07:49] The fact that he has no concept of the context [01:07:52] and the differences between the old and the new covenant [01:07:56] and that we're not required to keep Sabbaths [01:07:58] according to Colossians, [01:07:59] according to the apostles in Acts 15, [01:08:01] that it's not a requirement upon the Gentile church, [01:08:03] the Gentile Christians. [01:08:05] It's crystal clear in Acts 15, [01:08:07] it's crystal clear in Colossians 2, [01:08:08] it's crystal clear in Romans 14. [01:08:11] It's clear even in church history [01:08:15] that very early the Christians met [01:08:18] on the first day of the week, Sunday, all right? [01:08:23] Here's this guy, Douglas Ham. [01:08:26] He's well known in this Torah community. [01:08:29] Well known, okay? [01:08:33] And they all have these messages [01:08:36] and I'm talking about these Torah teachers, [01:08:38] they're teaching there. [01:08:39] They always have these untwisting Paul, law and grace. [01:08:43] They all got this idea that none of us can understand [01:08:46] what the apostle Paul was saying except for them. [01:08:52] So whenever you see this, [01:08:54] whenever you see people questioning Paul, [01:08:56] we got to untwist Paul. [01:08:58] Now what Paul was saying, [01:08:59] if you think your righteousness comes [01:09:01] from trying to keep the law, [01:09:02] that Christ is no effect to you, [01:09:04] I don't see there's any other way to interpret that. [01:09:10] When Paul says no man is justified by the law of Moses, [01:09:14] Christ is the end of the law for righteousness. [01:09:18] If Jesus didn't fulfill, I love how they'll say, [01:09:20] well, Jesus fulfilled the law concerning animal sacrifices, [01:09:23] but not the Sabbath. [01:09:26] Jesus is my Sabbath. [01:09:28] He is my feast, my Passover. [01:09:30] Paul said he is the Passover, Christ our Passover. [01:09:34] If I'm in Jesus, guess what? [01:09:35] I can't keep the law. [01:09:37] But if I'm in Jesus, he's the one who kept it [01:09:41] and he's the only one who can continue to uphold it. [01:09:46] And so if I'm in him, [01:09:48] I don't need an animal sacrifice. [01:09:50] If I'm in him, I don't need a Levitical priest. [01:09:53] If I'm in him, I don't need a Sabbath. [01:09:56] If I'm in him, he is the fulfillment [01:09:58] of all those things in me. [01:10:01] If I'm in him, I don't have to be chastised [01:10:06] or suffer the penalty of sin. [01:10:10] I can confess it and he can wash it away. [01:10:15] You see what I'm saying? [01:10:16] I don't have to go find a lamb, a goat, a dove. [01:10:20] Thank God. [01:10:24] But this guy right here, [01:10:27] what's interesting that the fellow [01:10:28] that I just read a minute ago, let me back up. [01:10:31] This guy, look what he says right here. [01:10:34] He says he's gonna be out for a little while. [01:10:36] He says, after the year 2015, [01:10:38] I might be too busy to answer your questions [01:10:41] if need for clarification regarding my studies. [01:10:44] I'm getting older, seeing several doctors [01:10:46] and currently being treated for complications [01:10:48] of type two diabetes. [01:10:50] Please send in your questions regardless. [01:10:52] My backup resources to answer all your questions [01:10:55] for all non-Paul questions, please use Pastor Doug Hamp [01:10:58] and gives his phone number and his email address. [01:11:03] These two must be like this. [01:11:07] How do you have this command's personal phone number? [01:11:10] I'm gonna be out of pocket, [01:11:14] but if you got any questions, [01:11:16] email or call Doug Hamp about these things. [01:11:22] Now this is the reason I bring this guy, Doug Hamp up. [01:11:26] And there's another one, the 119 Ministries [01:11:30] and so on down the line. [01:11:33] They are not simply there to enhance people's understanding [01:11:39] of the old covenant. [01:11:43] And I read an entire article by Doug Hamp [01:11:49] on what we need to know to be saved. [01:11:54] And guess what? [01:11:57] Guess how he ends it. [01:12:00] You gotta keep Torah. [01:12:04] This is where these guys always end up [01:12:08] because it's a slippery slope. [01:12:11] See, there's a difference. [01:12:13] Let me explain the difference. [01:12:14] For instance, if you feel called to something personally, [01:12:19] like some people feel called to be a vegan, okay? [01:12:24] They feel they should only eat plants. [01:12:27] God forbid we should kill a little furry animal [01:12:30] and eat it, right? [01:12:33] That's fine. [01:12:34] That's your choice. [01:12:36] Thank God in the New Testament, you are free to do that. [01:12:40] Be a vegan. [01:12:42] Enjoy your salad and your carrots. [01:12:45] And I have no problem with that. [01:12:49] But if you come and start telling me no, [01:12:51] you have to be a vegan being to be a good Christian, [01:12:54] to be a true Christian, to not have death in you. [01:12:57] I've seen this. [01:12:59] If you kill an animal, you got death in you. [01:13:02] And then somebody asked, why did Jesus eat a fish? [01:13:06] Why did Jesus ate the lamb on Passover too? [01:13:13] I mean, the command at Passover [01:13:14] was for them to kill a lamb, cook it and eat all of it. [01:13:19] Go back and read Exodus. [01:13:23] I don't know. [01:13:24] But the moment you say, if you want to be a vegan, [01:13:27] be a vegan, be the best vegan you can be. [01:13:32] But the moment you say, Pastor Dean, [01:13:34] you have to be one too, or you're not right with God, [01:13:38] then I have a problem with you, all right? [01:13:44] Or, let's say, you have to eat only the animals [01:13:47] in the Old Testament that are saved clean. [01:13:49] Even though I know what the New Testament says [01:13:50] about now, all animals, all creatures are clean. [01:13:54] Because we're in the New Covenant, [01:13:55] the blood of Jesus has cleansed it all. [01:14:00] Look, believe me, I'm gonna get the hate mail [01:14:02] will come in today, even though I'm trying to be nice. [01:14:06] I don't believe if you want to be a vegan [01:14:08] or you want to be a Torah observer, [01:14:09] I don't believe you're going to hell. [01:14:11] See, nobody's saying that, but I will say this. [01:14:16] If you go down the road and some of these Torah teachers [01:14:19] and you end up believing that trying to keep [01:14:21] the law of Moses is what makes you righteous, [01:14:23] and then you start believing there are other teachings [01:14:25] about there is no hell, that Jesus is not God in the flesh, [01:14:31] and some of them are even to the point [01:14:32] of denying the Messiah altogether that Jesus is the Messiah. [01:14:36] You are going down the road of error [01:14:38] that will lead to eternal damnation and separation from God. [01:14:44] And that's why I care about this, [01:14:46] that's why I address this, [01:14:49] and why I have addressed it so many times, [01:14:51] because I do see within that movement [01:14:55] very bad teachers like these who are leading people [01:14:59] into this, making it requirement, [01:15:01] and then questioning the New Testament, [01:15:04] questioning the writings of Paul, [01:15:06] questioning is Jesus really God in the flesh [01:15:09] or just a man that was prepared to be the Messiah. [01:15:12] I'm telling you, I've seen all these terrible, [01:15:15] demonic, antichrist spirit errors in that movement. [01:15:23] You can say what you want to about the 501c3 [01:15:26] denominational churches like the Baptist or the Methodist [01:15:29] or the assembly of God or the Pentecost. [01:15:31] You can say what you want, [01:15:32] but I can tell you what you won't hear. [01:15:33] You won't hear a denial of the deity of Jesus, [01:15:36] that He is the fullness of the Godhead bodily. [01:15:40] That great is that mystery of the triune nature of God, [01:15:44] but that Jesus is fully God in the flesh [01:15:46] who died on the cross, that He was virgin born. [01:15:49] Many of these Torah ministries are denying [01:15:51] the virgin birth and they're twisting Isaiah 7 [01:15:55] and trying to say it doesn't say [01:15:56] it's a virgin will conceive. [01:16:01] No folks, I want to tell you, [01:16:03] Jesus Christ was not just a man. [01:16:06] The Bible says in John 1, [01:16:08] in the beginning was the Word, [01:16:09] the Word was with God and the Word was God [01:16:11] and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. [01:16:15] He's called from the old covenant [01:16:17] and into the new confirmed. [01:16:19] Emmanuel, God with us. [01:16:23] He's the one that said to Philip, [01:16:24] when Philip said, show us the Father. [01:16:27] Jesus turned to him and said, [01:16:28] Philip, if you've seen me, [01:16:30] you've seen the Father. [01:16:36] He's the one that said that, not me. [01:16:44] I mean, you think about how many times in Isaiah, [01:16:47] in the Isaiah 40s, [01:16:49] that God, Yahweh, Yod-heh-vah-heh, [01:16:53] said, I am the first and the last. [01:16:57] And what did Jesus say in Revelation [01:16:59] when He appeared to John on the other? [01:17:00] I am the first and the last. [01:17:04] How could Jesus say that if He was not Yahweh? [01:17:09] See, boy, those people freaked the mind out. [01:17:14] Jesus is Yahweh in the flesh, fully, [01:17:20] not just His right arm. [01:17:30] And see, I don't care. [01:17:31] Listen, I'm gonna tell you something. [01:17:32] I don't care how many people don't like it. [01:17:35] I am here to uphold [01:17:38] biblical New Testament Christianity. [01:17:49] I mean, that fella back there, [01:17:52] not that one, that one right there, [01:17:54] He even goes on to say [01:17:56] that the book of 2 Peter is a false book. [01:18:02] You know, I'm gonna have a, [01:18:03] I need to get a piece of leather [01:18:09] that doesn't have any pages in it. [01:18:13] Just a folded piece of leather. [01:18:17] And I've got a sermon title entitled, [01:18:20] I'm gonna call it Genuine Leather Religion. [01:18:23] Because by the time you take out the writings of Paul [01:18:25] and the parts of Peter you don't like [01:18:27] and the parts of Acts you don't like, [01:18:28] and what's gonna be left? [01:18:33] Genuine leather, that's what mine says. [01:18:39] You don't get to take out of it. [01:18:44] The New Testament is the new wine [01:18:47] that must be put into a completely new container. [01:18:50] And that was the birth of the church [01:18:52] on the day of Pentecost. [01:18:53] That is the new container. [01:18:56] You don't take the new wine, the new covenant, [01:18:58] and try to put it back in the old vessel, [01:19:01] the old covenant. [01:19:06] You don't do it. [01:19:10] And you don't say something is required [01:19:12] upon new covenant believers [01:19:15] that the New Testament clearly says is not required. [01:19:21] I'm supposed to say, oh, that means you're lawless. [01:19:23] No, there is New Testament, New Covenant law. [01:19:28] But let me just share something. [01:19:29] I know I need to close here. [01:19:31] I've gone long, but it's impossible to cover all this stuff. [01:19:38] But, well, I'm not gonna do it. [01:19:43] I won't do it. [01:19:45] Let's just suffice it to say [01:19:48] I'm good with the new wine [01:19:50] in the new wine scanner. [01:19:55] I'm good with not having to sacrifice animals for my sin. [01:19:59] I'm good with not having to stone adulterers [01:20:03] and rebellious teenagers. [01:20:06] I'm good with that. [01:20:08] I'm good with I can meet on Sunday, [01:20:10] Saturday, Friday, Wednesday, Thursday. [01:20:13] I can meet any day I want [01:20:15] and worship God in any place I want [01:20:17] because there is freedom in Christ Jesus. [01:20:24] Amen. [01:20:26] I'm not gonna try to take a piece of the new garment [01:20:30] and put it on the old. [01:20:32] I'm not gonna tear up the new to try to patch the old. [01:20:36] I'm just gonna do this. [01:20:37] I'm just gonna be simple. [01:20:39] Like, you know what, God, I thank you for the old. [01:20:42] I thank you for everything you taught us in the old. [01:20:45] And I'm gonna learn from it. [01:20:47] And I'm gonna keep it around [01:20:50] because I need to refer back to it [01:20:52] to help me better understand this sometimes, the new. [01:20:56] But this is the one I live in. [01:21:00] This is the one I'm gonna wear. [01:21:01] This is the one I'm gonna put on. [01:21:02] This is the one I'm gonna walk in. [01:21:04] This is the one I'm gonna live. [01:21:05] Not this one, this one. [01:21:11] And this one says, [01:21:12] I don't have to keep the Sabbath on Saturday. [01:21:15] This one says, I don't have to be circumcised [01:21:17] to be right with God. [01:21:18] This one says, I don't have to keep fees, new moon. [01:21:25] This one is clear. [01:21:26] Oh, you don't understand? [01:21:27] Well, Paul said, no, I understand perfectly. [01:21:31] You've been saved three to five years [01:21:32] and you don't understand. [01:21:36] This is not new for me. [01:21:37] This is 31 years of studying this and dealing with this. [01:21:52] So I don't hate you if you're a Torah observer. [01:21:54] But don't hate me either. [01:21:57] See, really, if you wanna tell the truth, [01:21:59] the hate comes from the other side. [01:22:05] Because to prop up their ministries out there, [01:22:08] they really gotta kinda push to their people [01:22:11] that it's required. [01:22:15] And they gotta make it look like [01:22:16] we're the enemy out here. [01:22:18] The New Testament church that says, [01:22:21] doesn't matter when we meet. [01:22:23] Doesn't matter about those things. [01:22:26] It's about Jesus. [01:22:26] He fulfilled, he completed those things. [01:22:33] My favorite meme, everybody see that meme [01:22:34] I put up on Facebook a few weeks ago. [01:22:38] It's a girl in the back seat. [01:22:40] I don't even know what movie it is, [01:22:41] but it's what is his name, The Rock. [01:22:44] What's the guy's name? [01:22:46] Dwayne Johnson, he's in the movie. [01:22:48] And there's this picture of him. [01:22:49] He's driving a car, there's a girl in the back seat [01:22:52] and he's turned around at her like, [01:22:53] like with his face, like, you know. [01:22:57] And she said, God hasn't changed, the law hasn't changed. [01:23:00] He goes, what about the Levitical priesthood? [01:23:02] The animal sacrifices. [01:23:04] Those changed and he looks back at her with that face. [01:23:06] Like, what? [01:23:08] That's what I'm talking about. [01:23:09] This is what I'm talking about. [01:23:12] Blown away. [01:23:15] I'm just blown away. [01:23:17] I mean, people, when the first question, [01:23:23] here's a test for your heart out there, Torah observer. [01:23:25] If the first question you have for a believer [01:23:28] or one of the first questions you have [01:23:29] when you encounter another Christian is, [01:23:31] do you meet on Saturday or Sunday? [01:23:34] Something's wrong with you. [01:23:40] I mean, I have people tell me [01:23:41] that are in these different meetings [01:23:44] and these different big gatherings, [01:23:48] that, you know, especially when you have a mixed group [01:23:50] of non-Torah observers and Torah observers, [01:23:53] that the Torah observers are always hunting out the, [01:23:55] well, do you meet on Saturday? [01:23:57] Do you observe? [01:23:58] They always wanna know. [01:24:00] Listen, if it's not, [01:24:03] if these Torah observers don't consider it a salvation issue, [01:24:07] then why is that even important what day of the week [01:24:09] my church meets on? [01:24:11] Why is it important that I do it like you do it? [01:24:18] Because to them, to many of them, again, [01:24:19] what I'm saying, in their minds, in their hearts, [01:24:23] it really is a salvation. [01:24:25] Be right with God, please God issue. [01:24:28] And they're in error if that's what's in their heart. [01:24:34] So I hope I have clarified this. [01:24:39] Those of you out there, if you have any more questions, [01:24:42] I have like four or five messages on YouTube. [01:24:46] I have the New Testament church and the Sabbath question. [01:24:50] I have the Hebrew roots cult versus the blood of Jesus. [01:24:55] That's another one that's out there. [01:24:58] I have the school master message [01:25:02] that's long and illustrated. [01:25:06] So all I'm saying is I've covered this issue thoroughly. [01:25:08] This is another hour and a half of covering it. [01:25:13] So I hope they understand it. [01:25:15] It's not about hate. [01:25:16] It's not about dislike. [01:25:18] I'm fine if you wanna be a Torah observer. [01:25:21] Just don't look down your nose. [01:25:23] Don't get self-righteous. [01:25:24] Don't think it's a requirement. [01:25:25] Don't start telling people it's a requirement. [01:25:28] Don't start pushing people into it [01:25:32] and have sense enough to not try to keep [01:25:35] the Feast of Tabernacles in a hurricane, okay? [01:25:41] Love y'all, let's pray, let's stand. [01:25:50] Thank you Jesus. [01:25:52] Let's pray, let's do that Psalm to cross. [01:25:55] We'll worship with that Psalm before we leave. [01:25:58] Let's pray. [01:25:59] Father in heaven, I thank you God for your word, [01:26:02] the truth, I thank you for the new wine, [01:26:05] the new covenant. [01:26:08] I thank you Lord, that there is peace and freedom. [01:26:13] Not freedom to go live in immorality. [01:26:16] The New Testament does not give us that liberty [01:26:18] to go do whatever we want. [01:26:21] But we're not under the law of Moses. [01:26:23] We're not under the laws of Sabbaths [01:26:26] and circumcision and feasts. [01:26:28] Those are not required anymore. [01:26:31] And I thank you they're not. [01:26:34] I thank you the penalties of the law [01:26:35] are not upon us anymore. [01:26:42] I pray Lord that many people that have fallen [01:26:45] into the error side of the Torah movement [01:26:48] will come out of it. [01:26:53] Lord, I pray you will bless and touch your people out there, [01:26:59] wherever they are and lead us and guide us all [01:27:02] into truth that's kept in context, biblical context. [01:27:14] Lord, we're gonna worship you with this song again. [01:27:16] Thank you the cross, the bloodshed by you on that tree [01:27:23] is enough. [01:27:27] We thank you for it. [01:27:28] In Jesus' name.
